New California Laws effective July 1st 2007-06-25 11:38:31 Remember people don’t believe everything that you are told in life or on myspace. Here’s a post to all the people out there that seem to think that everything posted on myspace is in any way true. It’s like high school all over again let’s spread a rumor that Rob got Lazie pregnant OMG I can’t believe it.
Yeah and you shouldn’t, here’s what I found out about the New California
Laws (2 out of 10 isn’t bad right?)
If you want to know what the typical fines are in your area, call your local traffic court.
1. Carpool lane - 1st time $1068.50 starting 7/1/07 (The $271 posted on the highway is old). Don’t do it again because 2nd time is going to be double. 3rd time triple, and 4th time license suspended-Fiction!
In 2007, the recommended fine for a first time car pool violation was $380. Repeat offenders can expect to pay more, but nothing near the amounts represented in this email.

Feeling of the day 2007-06-23 11:25:07 Wow doesn’t it just seem like an easy decision to not have a cigarette in the morning. Yet when the first thing you do each time you wake up is reach for one and go outside I feel like this today. Let’s take this thing one moment at a time, yesterday I enjoyed pushing my limits of comfort, now I keep resorting back to rationalizing just one. I love reading info about how kicking heroin is easier than quitting smoking. The unfortunate thing is you can’t use heroin to quit smoking otherwise I would gladly consider the option right now LOL.
I’m in desperate need of non smokers to hang out with, I can’t even spend 5 minutes with a smoker without thinking it’s cool just to have one. Of course I’m not fooled that one leads to smoking a pack a day for 17 years like it has for me so far. I’m sure if I keep this up I’ll have enough Camel Cash for the iron lung that I will need.Technorati Tags: Quit smoking, Smoking kills, Non smoke Read more:Feeling
Day One No Smoking 2007-06-22 16:58:39 Ok so I figured that I would mark another shot at quitting smoking today, at this point it’s been since last night at about 8:30pm I made a decision to not pick up another cigarette. At this point being roughly 20 minutes to 3 o’ clock I feel like I have a lump in my throat and my mind is racing pretty damn quickly. Not much for a lesson of being in the moment or is it? I am consumed with wanting to push away my obsession for a smoke. It’s not the best way to go about it, as i write this down I’m able to be in the moment.
As I am in my body right now I will acknowledge that I want a cigarette, and try to investigate how my body is reacting to these feelings. I have a tightness in my throat, and a hard stomach.
The reason I chose to take on this attempt was because of something that I heard at my meditation class on monday night. I heard Noah talk about stepping up our practice and choosing to take on the uncomfortable. This is a pressing issue that has pl Read more:Smoking

Chipmunk Stinkeye 2007-06-22 09:36:38 I couldn’t resist putting this video up. I’ve watched it about 80 times in two days and it seems to get funnier every time I watch it.

Due to his wide range of acting skills and emotional turmoil created by just his mere presence the chipmunk has taken Hollywood by storm. This should be the next reality TV star, or at least award winner on America’s got TalentTechnorati Tags: Chipmunk

Ignorance 2007-06-17 16:27:41 There could be no bigger mistake than to think that ignorance is somehow dumb and stupid, or passive and lacking in intelligence. On the contrary, it is shrewd and cunning, versatile and ingenious in the games of deception, and in our wrong views and their burning convictions we find one of its deepest and, as Buddha said, most dangerous manifestations:
What do you have to fear from the wild elephant
Who can only damage your body here and now,
When falling under the influence of misguided people and wrong views
Not only destroys the merit you have accumulated in the past,
But also blocks your path to freedom in the future?
Something like that makes you think about many ignorant things from the past. Hitler, Osama Bin Laden, Bush and many more. Falling under the influence of misguided people and wrong views has plagued this great earth many times just in the lst 200 years.
Set the intention that we keep on the path for the benefit of not only ourselves but all beings. No matter what

Wisdom of Compassion 2007-06-15 14:45:07 “The teachings of all the great mystical paths of the world make it clear that there is within us an enormous reservoir of power, the power of wisdom and compassion, the power of what Christ called the Kingdom of Heaven. If we learn how to use it—and this is the goal of the search for enlightenment—it can transform not only ourselves but the world around us. Has there ever been a time when the clear use of this sacred power was more essential or more urgent? Has there ever been a time when it was more vital to understand the nature of this pure power and how to channel it and how to use it for the sake of the world?”
The Dharma is so powerful how it tends to encompass all religions and ideals. The ultimate goal of any religion is to generate more compassion and better understanding in this world. Hopefully this understanding can translate into a better relationship with all of our problems as we see them. Shed some light into the truth of the added suffering we place o Read more:Wisdom

Where Did All The Good Humor Go? 2007-06-15 11:22:52
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaugX6BJxQA
Man I’m just wondering where the good programing went too? Shows like In Living Color, and Kid in the Hall. These were some extremely innovative shows that rocked the comedy circuit. Some of the stuff from Jim Carey pulled off back in the day launched his career into the movies. Probably the worst move made for his comedy. Anyways i just wanted to bring back some of the good stuff since the kids of today have no idea what they missed.

Laws of Karma 2007-06-14 09:56:42 Because the law of karma is inevitable and infallible, whenever we harm others, we are directly harming ourselves, and whenever we bring them happiness, we are bringing ourselves future happiness.
The Dalai Lama says:
“If you try to subdue your selfish motives—anger and so forth—and develop more kindness and compassion for others, ultimately you yourself will benefit more than you would otherwise. So sometimes I say that the wise selfish person should practice this way. Foolish selfish people are always thinking of themselves, and the result is negative. Wise selfish people think of others, help others as much as they can, and the result is that they too receive benefit.”
What is posted isn’t from me, but it is a teaching of the Dharma and when it directly relates to my life I like to pass it on, as it was so freely given to me. The sanskrit word Dharma is considered to be the way things are, or the truth in the words of our buddhist teachers. It also signifies the co

Go Skateboarding Day Cops Vs. Kids 2007-06-27 14:54:33 Here’s another example of how some police tend to be a little over the top. Seems to me that someone in the Arkansas Police Department should be going to anger management classes.
from transworld skateboarding…
A dispicable act of police brutality was committed on Go Skateboarding Day by the Hot Springs, Arkansas Police Department. Video of the incident is below. After you watch it, we ask ALL of you to flood their phonelines and email address (below) with complaints regarding the main policeman involved, Officer Joey Williams. You should also contact your local news organizations to help spread the word. The more attention this officer gets, the better for us.

The 12 Steps of Redemption For SEO 2007-06-29 10:46:21 It has come to my attention that google being the god that they are on the internet have a very similar role to play in the life of a website that closely rivals the higher power of someone in A.A.. It reminds me of the book 1984, where big brother seems to have all the control over what we do. Nothing to do but bow down and make sure your sites are relevant and fit the guidelines of what they find as a relevant search result. Serve the engine, give up your first born site.

Non Smoking Sanity 2007-07-12 00:00:02 So today I’m currently at day 8 off of smokes and it’s been a roller coaster. I’ve been chewing a little bit of the nicotine gum.
day = 8 pieces of gum
day = 8 pieces of gum
day = 6 pieces of gum
day = 4 pieces of gum
And so on you get the idea, anyways today I’ve had 1 piece of gum and I’m doing okay, besides the random bouts of psychosis. I’ve had emotional mood swings from everything being okay to thinking that I have to find a new job, and wanting to drive people off the road.
Very interesting to watch my mind be so consumed with this preoccupation of my hourly ritual, every time I have a feeling I go smoke, every time I feel good I go smoke.

Every time I feel bad, I go smoke. I’ve had this love affair with a camel for almost 17 years now burning about a pack or more a day. Today I’m finally felling okay enough to admit that I am completely addicted to the nicotine and tar and carcin Read more:Smoking

1974 Ironhead Sportster XLCH 2007-11-21 12:11:24 I found myself a new little obsession a couple of weeks ago and I’m really excited. I figured I’d put up a picture or two of the before, progress and after with this one. It’s a 1974 Ironhead Sportster, it’s a kickstart only and man can I tell you it makes me feel like a little girl sometimes having to kickstart this bike. Maybe I get winded because I still smoke LOL. Anyways enough about the smoking for now and on to having a new toy. I’ve spent enough time energy and money with old cars over my lifetime to know I’d never get another one without having something else as my daily driver and this is what I came up with as a project.
The things I’ve been thinking about doing to this vary from lowering the rear suspension to completely changing the frame to rigid. It should be a fun project in the mean time. Since I impulsively purchased this bike without knowing much about Harley models (the price was just right) I’ve learned a ridi
It’s been awhile 2007-11-20 09:58:25 Sorry for being MIA I’ve had a few things to take care of, one being quitting my damn job it’s just taking up too much time for me to actually be unproductive. I will keep in contact and continue to update when I can. I have a new project I’ve been working on lately which is really a fun project. Take a look at the USEF site I have built it’s for the United States Entertainment Force which is a great non profit. If you get a chance come check out the Hollywood Santa Parade this year they are a major sponsor for the event.
The Company is basically what the USO used to be bringing entertainment to the troops and a major supporter of troops getting back on their feet when they return home.
Anyways to bring you up to speed, of course I’m smoking away, it never ceases to amaze me that smokers are like dope fiends they always welcome you back with open arms. LOL I guess I’m no different but let’s see since my last few posts I’ve quit
Stephen and Ondrea Levine Need our Support 2007-12-17 18:58:48 An Open Letter from Jack Kornfield, Ram Dass, and Sharon Salzberg
Dear Friends,
We are writing to ask your support for two beloved friends of ours, Stephen
and Ondrea Levine. They are currently facing significant difficulty. After a life-time of giving, they are now at a time to receive from those of us whose lives have been touched by their presence and teaching.
Their greatest needs are financial. Ondrea has Leukemia and the costs of her insurance and treatment have used up their savings. Stephen’s health is not good either, and he is too frail to travel or teach. When we heard about this, we felt moved to contribute to a fund set up for them, and to encourage others to do the same.
Stephen and Ondrea have been among our generation’s most important teachers, demonstrating and encouraging others to embrace the power of love and generosity. For three years, they ran a 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-a-week free phone line for those dying or in need of support. When the pho Read more:Support
