I have this morbid fascination with death. Most people are scare of death and will try at all cost to avoid even mentioning it. However, it is a very real part of life. No matter how you want to avoid it, it will find you eventually. Therefore, why don’t we accept our mortality and embrace death. Death can be so liberating. Wouldn’t it be good if we died everyday. And I’m not just talking about those Multi Level Marketing (MLM) outfits with their various guises. These peddlers sell dreams because of ulterior motives without any consideration on the foundation on which these Dreams were built on. At best, there are just a very well dressed up fantasies. The masses will soon realize that these Dreams will soon crumble around them, if they are lucky. If not, they will be going down with them. I can’t discount of those who live and died by their Dreams of promoting a better world and fighting for their rights. Love in the deepest and purest sense has to be come from within. No strings attached and not derived from any form at all. In a nutshell, being with a particular or specific person is no longer an issue. All the people in this world are the same in the sense that they are different. What a paradox. When we’re at peace with ourselves and we’re no longer identify with the form. We can love, live and grow old with anyone at all. By all means, accuse me for being cynical of love if you want to. Just close your eyes and look beyond the fact that you might be addicted instead of loving your partner. Addiction in any form is not healthy and depression will certainly kick in once the euphoric high is over. Give away everything you know, and more will come back to you.You will remember from school other students preventing you from seeing their answers by placing their arm around their exercise book or exam paper. It is the same at work, people are secretive with ideas. ‘Don’t tell them that, they’ll take the credit for it.’ The problem with hoarding is you end up living off your reserves. Eventually you become stale. If you give away everything you have, you are left with nothing. This forces you to look, to be aware, to replenish. Somehow the more you give away the more comes back to you. Ideas are open knowledge. Don’t claim ownership. They’re not your ideas anyway, they’re someone else’s. They are out there floating on the ether. You just have to put yourself in a frame of mind to pick them up.


Mental diet

Its been 3 long days since I last posted on this blog. I have started a mental diet, starving myself from negative thoughts. The diet was started on 07 July 2007 on a Saturday. However, it  got tougher instead of easier and I gave up after 2 days. The negative thoughts have a knack of sneaking up on you when you least expected it. The moment you let down your guard, they will just creep in from no way and intoxicate your mind. Then I will lapse into nostalgia and drown in the future. A sign that I was not totally present. Not surprisingly, most of these negative voices and images were pertaining to my ex and prospective future partner. The thoughts couldn’t be considered as positive I still dwell on the past and fantasize about the future. Most importantly, if the thoughts affect my functionality and productivity, then it is deem not fit to dwell in my mind.

Its been a long time   It has been 5 days since I last posted anything on this blog. Wow, that’s a long time indeed. Well, 5 days? What have I done in these days? A little bit of everything. On Monday, I have gotten so frustrated with the one and only landline provider that I have taken the matter into my own hands. Over here in this self proclaimed developing nation with developed infrastructure, the telco service for landline or fixed line or whatever it is called, is still quite a monopolistic industries. Though there aren’t that many entry barriers to be breached by the competitors, the cost of the infrastructure has made competition irrelevant. Therefore, there is one and only telco we go to for our landline service. I have a business venture with a few partners that didn’t exactly work out as what we intended to be. You must accept that it is only your life situation and don’t identify it as you. When you finally managed to take stock of the situation, you can then plot your way out of it. It is much more constructive than blaming other of putting yourself in such situation or being angry with your own self for landing into the hot soup. Though you and me might not agree with what he wrote for the lyrics of Negarakuku, the same sentiments have been expressed over and over again, almost every second among the Chinese community. The difference is, they are too timid to say it openly. If there is someone or something you need to blame the Negarakuku phenomenon on, it is the INTERNET and YOUTUBE. Only with the proliferation of broadband connection that this controversy can spread wide and fast. Without Namewee, there is still a large percentage of Chinese who share the same feeling but didn’t go to the extend of spreading it.
