wealth-building seminars 2007-10-12 16:01:32 well, hmm. where to begin? obviously, if you read here very much, you know i’m a person with no material wealth. any wealth i have is stored ‘upstairs’. waaaaaay upstairs! get it?!!
but this post is about the 3 day Wealth Expo in new york city.
for three days, MyWallSt.net: Your Financial Social Network will sponsor dozens of seminars by the wealthiest, savviest business men and women in the nation.
the expo schedule is as follows:
Friday, 10/19: 1 p.m.-6:30 p.m. EDT w/ a cocktail hour to follow
Saturday, 10/20: 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m. EDT w/ a cocktail hour to follow
Sunday, 10/21: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. EDT (no cocktail hour)
one interesting-looking seminar is called “Managing Your Family’s Wealth: Succession Planning” with speaker ken kam. like i said, there really is no ‘family wealth’ around here to manage other than checking to see if there’s enough in the bank account for a new pair of shoes or the like. but if you had money put back or sa
need reservations? 2007-10-12 15:40:48 well then, this site is just what you need!
at Hotel Reservations, you can book more than hotels! you can also make reservations at all the best resorts, book flights or reserve a rental car! you can even get whole vacation packages at Hotel Reservations. get any combination of hotel, flight and car reservations all taken care of in one fell swoop. how convenient is that?
and cruises! woot! we can’t forget about those! *sigh* maybe one day i’ll be able to take a cruise, but til then, i can look around at Hotel Reservations to see what they have to offer.
they even book for b&b’s and condos! even help you “book around” your activities.
right now, they have a rebate program going on. you can get up to $100 according to how many nights you book. a pretty good deal if you’re thinking of visiting to in-laws this holiday season!
we’ve used ‘travel booking’ sites before, but i had never heard of Hotel Reservations before.

tell me you don’t have storage problems… 2007-10-12 14:17:05
…and i’ll call you a liar!
i think it would few and far between for anyone who DOESN’T have some kind of storage
problem. i know *i* sure do — in spades!
the people over at car guy garage have your storage solutions.
for instance, don’t you need a way to corral all that sports equipment in your garage? i mean something besides the kids’ outgrown playhouse. a 5 foot aluminum cabinet would be great! how about those boots you wear only for muddy, cruddy, dirty work? a diamond plate steel shoe locker would do nicely. what about all those tools and repair pieces you have scattered all over? a heavy duty tool box or cart would handle that mess.
you can find all this stuff and much more at carguygarage.com

paid posts: how does it impact the society? 2007-10-11 09:29:24 … i mean MY society. y’know, for the preservation of my sanity. *heh* but also the blogging society at large. read on…
well folks, i’m pondering (fretting!) this whole paid/sponsored posts
thing. *sigh*
i was already getting very concerned about it, but today i read this article and it’s got me to thinking — maybe this isn’t such a good thing?
my readers fell away when i was so negligent with my posting, so i already had a pitiful status. and now with the paid posts, even though i try really hard to put personal posts in between, i feel that people are just turned off totally.
this makes me so sad and upset. i mean, well… i wound up on my old blog site, reading posts that were a couple of years old! it really blew me away how much differently i write posts nowadays. *sigh*
the old posts were much more entertaining if i do say so myself. believe me, i really long for the days when i could just sit down and let a silly stor Read more:impact

okay, so for those who give a crap, here’s what’s been going on at my house…
we are supposed to close on our loan this friday. YAY! now we’ll be able to get to work on all this building and improvement stuff! it looks so cruddy outside with all that dirt, dirt, dirt everywhere!! bleh.
i’ve been trying to decide on tile for the house. i have about five laying all over the kitchen floor. that’s about the most useless thing, though, because, well, there’s that yicky carpet to contend with. i guess i just lack imagination enough to ’see’ what the tile would look like. *sigh* well, at least i’m close to deciding.

dental problems? 2007-10-10 07:50:31
i’ve just become aware of a product called Dentemp OS.
this product is designed to temporarily repair loose caps or crowns and lost fillings! how wonderful is that?!!
i’ve never heard of a product that would do this, so this really is exciting news to me!
i have a lot of dental
work. fillings, crowns, root canals, surgery to remove impacted teeth… bleh! and i hate going to the dentist SO much!
maybe you’ve experienced this situation… you’re out somewhere… maybe on vacation or visiting relatives, or maybe you’re even at home and *lightening strike* your crown comes off or a filling falls out.
OUCH! lemme tell ya, the pain can be excruciating! what if you can’t get right in to your dentist?? what if you just flat don’t have the time to see the dentist for a few days???
without something like Dentemp OS, you just had to suffer with that awful pain. i don’t know about you, but for me, suffering with tooth pain Read more:problems
need cash fast? 2007-10-10 07:28:22 it happens to everyone at one time or another. (and to some of us a little more frequently than others! gah!) an accident sends you to the emergency room, smoke wafts out from under the hood of your car and it’s NOT a good thing–you end up needing repairs, suddenly you have, let’s say, a wedding to look forward to but it takes cash to make decorate, obtain a facility, make and buy food, hire crowd control… heh. some days people, we just need cash fast!!
that’s when you might consider using Payday Loan Advance.
seems like in my town there are cash advance places everywhere you turn now. and frankly, we’ve never used anything like this. thankfully, we’ve never really needed to!
but i went over to Oasis Payday Loans and checked this out.
IF you ever needed to use a payday cash advance, this would be a very good alternative to that place on main street.
Oasis Payday Loans uses a secure server to take a tiny amount of info to get into the

bent outta shape (or ‘when brokers whine’) 2007-10-17 21:21:13 we closed on our refi loan today. i’m SO glad this is finally over. at least i HOPE it’s finally over!
would you believe that the the second place that contacted us (one of the two we had whittled down to) in the beginning called AGAIN this evening?!!?
it was interesting though, that the dude who’s been “handling” us all this time and who argued with tommy over why we would be “disloyal” after he’d been “so honest” and had “talked straight with us and not tried to one-up the other guy” over “only” twelve bucks now has some woman calling.
gah!! i could go on with what all this guy said, but the stickler was that ‘only twelve bucks’… difference in payment, that is.
um, dude? $12 x 240 = $2,880 (we plan to pay off before that, though, Lord willing!)
well, shoot, if he’s got that kinda money he should just mail it on over and we’ll go with his loan! i wish we’d Read more:lsquo
looking for a loan in the uk? 2007-10-17 20:27:35 the thrifty scot is a great place to start looking for a loan. at the thrifty scot, you can compare loans, too. it’s kinda like a loaning tree for the uk, heh.
you can find secured loans and also check for the best credit cards. they also offer personal loans for all kinds of needs.
since, as of today, we closed on our refi loan, i know what a hassle it can be comparing loan offers. what a headache!!
however, through a place like lending tree, it was simpler than running all over town or trying to talk our bank, or a lender we’d never talked to before, into loaning us the money. our bank “could” only give us a much higher interest rate than we ended up getting. that’s when we started our own personal trek into the weird world of mortgage brokerdom.
i can’t be certain that the thrifty scot works exactly like lending tree or other loan comparison sites, but they sure do have a lot of financial info.
if you are a jet-setter looking for a secure
definition of “make-up” 2007-10-17 11:02:16 make-up; doing make-up; making one up

a tedious task involving various paint-like substances, powders, creams, pencils and stiffening agents that becomes necessary with the aging of a woman, if that is, the woman desires to attempt to disguise her age.
even though, most of these attempts are futile, women will still make yet further attepts, often turning to anti-aging agents and/or surgical procedures.
surgical procedures are expensive, however, and as proven by many celebrities, the procedures often produce not a younger appearance, but the effect of freakishness which most women do not desire.
when a woman reaches a certain point in her life, she begins to shun the practices of “making themselves up” in favor of the natural look. this non-cosmetic look is mostly quite pleasing. however in some instances, the natural look is quite hideous and is best left for days spent at home, with doors and windows shut and no visitors allowed.
many women find this option to Read more:ldquo
