Extreme surf video where two surfers are riding a giant wave in Jaws - Maui - Hawaii. When the waves are going off here there's always lots of helicopters in the air. One of the surfers almost touch one of them when he flies out the back off the wave, but i think he's most likely a 100 yards or more away. And yes, he's attached with foot straps on tow-in boards.

legend Eddie Aikau was the North Shore's first full-timelifeguard, and earned the permanent guard chair at Waimea with a sterling reputation for his life-saving work.
