I generated some random points(particles).Once those points are interconnected, it becomes line.Idea just simple, point connect point and become line.Go back to the basic of form study.
This is a pure piece of 2d looking 3d work.This image is a still frame extracted from my animation work........I enjoy looking at it, the ways the points all connected together.Maybe i should upload it to youtube and show it here.Anyone interested to watch it? if yes... i will render it out as image sequence.. I suspose to work on the continuity of yesterday image,i guess some audience interested to find out what happen nextbased on the image yesterday. But the image it takes longer to complete.Therefore, I will post it later. I feel desert today. I would go middle-east one day.I listened to philips glass while I was working on this piece. I guess you can tell it frommy work.

Ever since the very first released of KPT Bryce in 1996, I've been used it to create 3d landscape back then. I was in secondary school and didn't know jack shit about 3d and pretty much used all of the preset geometry, shader and etc. with one click to do my 3d lanscaping. Today, I got a sudden urge and want to capture back my feeling last time. I used houdini to create this entire piece. I know it could be done better but since I create one image per day, not much detail can be added. I decided to keep the scene file and further refine it later for instance like the detail of the Iceberg I could experiment with multilayer displacement map to vary the surface detail of it. Nevertheless, surface scattering could be used for the iceberg shader next time.. maybe......

I was browsing thru my sis fashion mag this morning. Eventually, I got hooked at thejewelly page. My hand was itching and I decided to replicate the pearl shader in 3d.Done it in rush, the contrast of this image could be better. Ok, I should work onanother piece right now.

Ok, I've sculpted quite few icebergs based on the word 30dayartist.com as everyone can see here. Next I going to place them somewere at the middle of the ocean in antartica. Today, I can really show my work here fullsize as usual.. is a blogger error.. maybe. I got my artwork cropped 20% in my previous post. Got abit dissappointed. I got 2 days left, see what i can come out.

Again, I didn't think and just do it.

I didn't think. I setup a simple particle system and let the particles flow freely. Then copied metaball to the particle system for the blobby look. When I was creating the shader, I didn't have any idea in mind, just let it flow freely. Here is the result. The result of spontaneity.

Browsed thru stock photo company "Corbis" to seek for inspiration. Here is the result. Again, no initial plan during the modeling session. Run a simple particle system, copy metaball....etc. The simulated bokeh effect was done in comping. Almost at the end, I feel bit different today.
