Agent Crush as a puppet
2007-06-14 16:31:16
Oh man, the first time I saw Team American: World Police I was blown off my feet and laughing my ass off all the way home. Just the way that the puppet s would fight and try to be real humans was the funniest shit I have ever seen. I was a fan of Thunderbird’s before but they never moved so ridiculously as Team America. Well it seems that whilst Trey Parker and Matt Stone where giving there praise to the old Thunderbird’s in Team America, it somehow brought back the puppet genre. A new movie is coming out called Agent Crush which is going to be taking the piss out of James Bond is going to be entirely done by puppets. These puppets aren’t the ones with strings but the mechanical ones (I think that kind of takes away the fun as the limited movements by string puppets really made it funny) and already has a pretty sweet cast lined up. The star of the show, Agent Crush (played by Ioan Gruffudd), had a little chat to SciFi wire and had this to say It’s the old animat

Jessica Alba wants sex!
2007-06-14 16:15:32
Jessica Alba has recently told the Cosmopolitan that she likes one night stands and doesn’t think a girl is a slut if she sleeps with a bunch of men. She likes the idea of experimenting in sex and feels that sleeping around can give her that satisfaction, good on her for speaking up, slut… I just wanted to see what it was like to be with different people. I don’t think a girl’s a slut if she enjoys sex. I could have a one-night stand, and I’m the kind of girl who looks over in the morning and is like, ‘Do you really have to be here?’ I don’t need to cuddle and do all that stuff because I know what it is and I don’t try to make it more. I feel like a lot of women try to make it into more, so they don’t feel so bad about just wanting to have sex. I don’t really have a problem with just wanting sex. Never have. Even when I was a virgin and wanted to marry the first guy who I slept with, I never passed any judgments about t

New Heroes Characters
2007-06-13 17:12:56
I am gonna admit, I am one of those Heroes fanboys, the minute I saw Heroes ads on TV, I was hooked. I would watch it religiously and even re watched the whole season 1 the other day, I am addicted. Which is why when news of new characters for this stellar season was released I had to show my appreciation. Well according to numerous sources Heroes will be starting shooting next week on the second season of the Heroic series (yeah I came up with that all by myself) and are set to have a few new characters in it. I am not sure where it will be set but I am hoping it is in normal time and not in the future, didn’t like those episodes (they answered to many questions) The characters that are all set to make there debut in this new season are a nice elementary school teacher, a high school teacher with a hippie sort of personality, a store manager for Kino, a small time mobster of Irish decent and a Californian high school girl who isn’t really good athletically (sounds a littl

Sicko leaked online
2007-06-13 16:52:48
Well another film from the same company has been leaked online this week. Michael Moore’s Sicko documentary on the American health care system has apparently been leaked to the masses a few days ago. This news comes just after we found out about Eli Roth’s Hostel Part II getting leaked online as well. Now here comes the funky part, these weren’t any cam releases with jerky movement etc. they were full blown screener releases. Both the movies were extremely watchable although Hostel Part II had a few effects and sounds missing (which Eli says isn’t his movie because of it) and it really is annoying. The leak from inside Lionsgate needs to be flushed out. We need to stand up against these bastards, /Film says that this little leak could lead to a loss of between $5 - $10 million in box office revenues, damn pirates need to be stopped. Michael Moore has spoken out about piracy before and his stance on it is rather sad, here is a quote taken from the fat man himsel

Well I am a little tired (had a late one last night, Wayne’s World 1 & 2 night, excellent!!) so I am just going to do a wrap up of today’s new, sorry about that folks. Christina Applegate is starring in “The Rocker” as a rocker mum. The rocker is a movie about a drummer (played by Rainn Wilson) who plays in a high school band which hits it big time. The only problem is he gets kicked out just before they hit big time. Fast forward 20 years and he has the chance once again with a high school band with the front man being his nephew. Christina Applegate is the love interest of Wilson and the mother of the lead guitarist. China has trimmed down the movie Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest for release on there screens. They have gotten rid of a lot of scenes because of violence and horror. Most of the scenes featuring Chow Yun Fat have been cut and really makes the movie harder to follow (as if it wasn’t hard already?), some scenes that real

Apple in talks for a movie rental service
2007-06-12 02:59:28
Oh lord jesus, Apple is taking over the world. First it conquers the music world with it’s piece of shit iPod that people are only buying to have those little white headphones (I know you guys were thinking it, I just said it :P) and now they are making an attempt to take over the movie rental service too, need I say fuck off? This is sounding stupider and stupider every minute I see a new Apple story pop up in my Feedreader. They are saying that you are to pay $2.99 for a 30-day movie which expires on the 30th day, I can see the boys at AfterDawn are just creaming there pants waiting to crack that. They currently have deals with Paramount and Walt Disney and are currently talking with Universal. Please give me a break, they are pretty much saying this will be standard and if you guys don’t jump on the bandwagon now, you will be left behind. According to the SiliconRepublic the still mainstream method (involving DVD’s and internet) is ordering physical DVD’s fro

New Saw Poster
2007-06-12 02:47:16
Saw launched a teaser poster for there new upcoming movie Saw IV. The movie is set to be released by Lionsgate just in time for Halloween on October 26th ‘07. The 4th movie to add onto the trilogy is directed by Darren Lynn Bousman and stars Tobin Bell, Angus Macfadyen, Shawnee Smith, Lyriq Bent, Scott Patterson and Justin Louis. I think the poster looks awesome, but no doubt they will fuck up Saw IV. Saw III was not really a blast and I didn’t like it too much, so I have no idea how they are going to bring life into this movie especially since Jigsaw is coming back, for fucks sake, can’t the die just die already? Here is a synopsis from MovieWeb Jigsaw still haunts the living in Saw IV, forcing them to appreciate life, or face death. As a continuation of Saw III, Jeff must find his daughter and escape the building to which they are confined before they both die. After finding another tape of Jigsaw, Jeff realizes there may be a newly added piece of the puzzle that h

New Movie Sequels Coming Out
2007-06-11 06:06:03
Well, it is most probably me but I think sooner or later movie ideas are just gonna dry up. A sweet director will come along and bring out an awesome movie and it will take a HUGE taking at the box office. But at the moment it seems that a sure fire way to make some cash is to bring out a sequel of an awesome first movie. Pirate of the Caribbean is doing it, Shrek has done it, Oceans Eleven is doing it. Well right now it looks like some sweet sequels that are set to come out and could be in the making. The first one that will be coming out is Pink Panther 2, Columbia Pictures has gotten the talents of Harald Zwart behind them to direct the movie. Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel are going to rewrite the sequel for Steve Martin. The second one, and I can’t tell you how fucking excited I am for this one, is Beverly Hills Cop 4. I loved the trilogy and can’t wait to make it a Quadrilogy (never heard that one used). ComingSoon.net has had a chat to Lorenzo di Bonaventura about Tr

Weekend Catchup: 16-17 June
2007-06-17 16:00:26
A new Transformers poster has been posted online and it looks half decent, only thing stopping me from saying it is awesome is that fucking photoshop flare that is sitting in the middle arrgghh!! And also a new TV spot has hit the web. I am really anticipating Transformers now and the hype is only throwing wood on the fire, stupid Internet hype! About a week ago we posted a list of movies that Pixar are going to release in the next 4 or so years. One that was pretty high up on the list, in fact said to be released next year, was WALL-E. Now I know I said it sounded like a pretty shit movie, but after watching the teaser trailer, I am more than impressed. Definitely one to look out for in the near future, June 27th, 2008 to be precise. FSR post some of the best movie lists I have ever seen (we have shown this and that) and they back it up by posting a pretty sweet list of the Top 10 Worst Movie Video Games in History. Some of the games I have never even heard of, like the number, who wo

AFI Releases List of Best Films
2007-06-21 01:22:07
Well the Australian Film Institute has released a list of the best 100 films in the last 100 years. I think they did a great job on the list and I will post it later in the post. It seems that the AFI have a real good nack at picking good films although Citizen Kane has surfaced amongst a lot of Greatest Movie lists. AFI took up some time on CBS announcing all the ballots and votes etc. for the films on the list. Well I should probably stop rambling on and show you the list, so here it is… 100. Ben-Hur (1959) 99. Toy Story (1995) 98. Yankee Doodle Dandy (1942) 97. Blade Runner (1982) 96. Do the Right Thing (1989) 95. The Last Picture Show (1971) 94. Pulp Fiction (1994) 93. The French Connection(1971) 92. New Evan Almighty Clip Online
2007-06-20 16:50:59
Evan Almighty , the follow on of Bruce Almighty, has a new clip online. Personally I am a Jim Carrey fanatic so I am a bit biased to the Bruce Almighty movie, but I am not gonna make any opinions as of yet about the clip. Just go watch it down the bottom. The movie opens on July 22 and it should be good (if it was a total remake of Bruce Almighty it might be too soon, but it ain’t so meh). The movie has picked up the title as the most expensive comedy ever. It topped the scales with a whopping tally of around $250 million, crazy as caramel pie. Alright enough of me rambling on, here is the clip, watch it and tell me what you think of it

Moore News Items for you
2007-06-20 16:42:20
So as we reported earlier this week, Michael Moore ’s latest documentary Sicko was leaked onto the internet. Not a good thing by any stretch of the imagination. But now that it is released (an almost perfect copy) on the net, the Weinstein company has decided it is better to get it out there now than later when everyone has scored themselves a free copy. The Weinstein company is opening the movie to the whole of New York and selected theaters where Moore’s movies have gone well around the US. The critics are eating this movie up and loving every bit of it, RT is giving it a 90% which is damn well awesome. The second Moore news item is something I like about Moore. He follows up on his movies, he doesn’t sit back eating more food and doing that sort of shit, he gets out there and follow up on what he says in his documentaries. In the case of Sicko he recently held a standing only press conference on how bad the health system is and how some bill could change it all. M

Incredibles Sequel next on Brad Bird’s mind?
2007-06-19 01:28:31
Well I am one to say I am impressed with this news. The Incredibles was no doubt in the top 5 animation movies of all time, I just loved the way the characters were shown and they way the story ran. With the animation it allowed the directors to be more creative in there super powers. So the director of The Incredibles, Brad Bird, has talked to AP about possibly doing an Incredibles sequel now that Ratatouille is out in cinemas and that is a weight off his shoulders. Here is what he had to say on the matter I love the world. I love the characters, and if I could come with a story that was as good or better than the original, I’d go there in a second. I have pieces of things that I would love to see in a sequel, but I haven’t got them all together yet, and I certainly wouldn’t want to come out there with something that is less than the original. … Sequels are not part of the business plan at Pixar. It’s all about the filmmakers being passionate about going

Aardman to release new movies
2007-06-18 16:31:43
Aardman, the legendary claymation film studio who brought us the likes of Wallace and Gromit and Chicken Run they also brought us (unfortunately) the 3D movie Flushed Away, are at it again as they release the films they are preparing to release out into the wild in the coming years. The first film is called The Cat Burglars and is a story about a group of stay cats who steal milk. Sounds original and hopefully it will be in claymation. They have signed up Matthew Graham and Ashley Pharoah to work with the direction Steve Box on this one. Aardman says it will include the cool styling of Ocean’s Eleven and the the comedy action of Wallace and Gromit, sounds like a keeper The next movie is based around the Pirates books (written by Gideon Defoe) which includes 3 books and one to be released 2008. I think it is gonna be hard to pull this one off as water with clay just hasn’t proven itself worthy and real water would screw with the clay. For this movie they have the minds of Pe

New Video Game Movies Coming Out
2007-06-18 01:44:31
The people who made 300, Beerfest, Ant Bully amongst others have recently released on there website a film under development. That film is looking like a movie based around the legendary video game Diablo. That is right, Legendary Films are going to release a movie based upon the Diablo game franchise. According to /Film they are also going to be releasing an adaption of World of Warcraft, which would get a lot of a fan base as Blizzard have really done an excellent job at building a Trekkie like following / cult towards WoW. Although both films do not sound like keepers as I didn’t really like Doom which was also a video game adaption. The next item I am gonna address is the possibility of a Halo movie. Fox has licensed the right to market products on behalf of the computer giant Microsoft. 20th Century Fox will release an array of merchandise on behalf of Microsoft and take care of all that fuss until the fourth game in the Halo line is released. I think after Fox sweetens the

Weekend Catchup 23-24 June
2007-06-24 17:05:02
The MPAA has added new fake movie posters so that if people are caught filming them they can be fined upwards of $250,000. That is absolutely madness [insert Gerard Butler angry face] and the MPAA really needs to stop being fucktards. As CinemaBlend kindly put, big hits like Spidy 3 pulled in $800million, when they could be pulling in $1billion don’t you feel sorry for the studios? No way in hell Brad Bird talks to ComingSoon.net about a possible Incredibles sequel and also talks about Toy Story 3. He says Toy Story has a really good plot and if he can come up with something just as good or even better for Incredibles 2, he would jump on it. Toy Story 3 is set to be released in 2010. Samuel L. Jackson has been seen playing Nick Fury in Iron Man. They obviously look the same (minus the eye patch but a little makeup and freshening up is a given) and Jackson is an awesome actor (Look for the wallet that says Bad Motherfucker on it) and I believe this role was definitely made for him

Willis responds to Die Hard 5
2007-06-21 16:17:33
Bruce Willis , the face behind the character John McClane in the Die Hard quadrilogy has answered some questions in a virtual press conference that could possibly bring out a new Die Hard. Willis has said he wants to do a Die Hard prequel, which would be extremely hard due to the 52 year old slowly aging away. Willis was asked by a fan if he would shoot Die Hard 5 in Mexico, when Willis responded that he would be up for a Die Hard 5 but it is an American film and there is a chance he would shoot it in Mexico but would prefer to shoot in the US of A. According to MTV the conference had a lot of irrelevant questions and only a few were good ones. “I would definitely consider doing a ‘Die Hard 5,’ and I would consider doing it anywhere,” Willis responded to an avatar from Mexico who asked if Willis would shoot it in his country. “I would prefer to shoot in the United States; I think ‘Die Hard’ has always been an American film.” That same ques

New Hitman trailer
2007-06-27 02:30:41
… and it is shit. I mean they are fucking idiots, it has some chessy church song in the background (not trying to offend anyone) and the scenes they have chosen are shithouse. They could have gotten a sweet ass pwnage headshot from miles away through the scope but instead they have him shooting and some door blowing up. This single trailer has made me so pissed off at this film, the games were awesome and I still play them to this day, but they may have just fucked up the movie beyond repair. I am with a lot of other movie sites, Olyphant just doesn’t look Hitman ish, Jason Statham could have played it better. But just watch it anyway

Kill Bill 3 & 4 a possibility?
2007-06-26 01:46:20
Quentin Tarantino is one of my favourite directors. I mean Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction were great movies there is no doubting that. Tarantino as a person is a super geek and represents us out there that have a bit of a nerdy side. So when I got the news that Tarantino would be most likely doing a Kill Bill III and possibly even a IV I was stoked. We’ll start off with the news of the third installment of Kill Bill. The word going around is Tarantino wants to return to China to shoot them. The third film will revolve around the revenge of two members of the crazy 88 (you know the group Thurman went crazy on? The ones with hoses for arms) on Uma Thurman. Sounds kinda ridiculous but hopefully Tarantino can make it work The fourth installment of Kill Bill would be a cycle of revenge plots and a bunch of daughters who try to avenge there parents death. City Express quoted Bennett Walsh as saying about the kung fu movie. This also sounds kind of crap but I guess you have t

New Simpsons Poster and Site
2007-06-29 22:18:58
Well I know I don’t update on the weekend but I feel I have been letting this site go and I really wanna take control of it some more, so I am doing some small updates for you guys on a Saturday, lucky you The Simpsons Movie have released a new movie poster and also created a new site. The movie poster still looks pretty generic but the site is something I have been looking forward to. The movie poster is below and the site is here Personally I am not getting excited about this movie, I mean I am a huge sucker for the Simpsons but I don’t think they can make the switch from television to movies. Especially without going the 3D route or real life (although a real life Simpsons movie would absolutely suck dick). I guess we will wait and see, hopefully it does bomb and they realise how bad an idea it was to make a full movie on the seasoned animals and go back full steam ahead with some new seasons.

Sex and the City movie in the works
2007-07-04 22:34:05
Not a fan of this, New Line Cinemas (Snakes on a Plane, Final Destination, Monster-in-Law) are about to pick up and finance / distribute a Sex and the City feature length movie . That’s right, an hour to two of Sarah Jessica Parker parading around talking about shit, can’t wait. The original cast will still be in it, with the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon all to come back and take there original roles. There executive producer Michael Patrick King will be directing the script he formed. The film was nearly released 2 years back but was stopped cause Kim Cattrall wanted more control and more cash. Supposedly she wanted the same pay as the lead woman Sarah Jessica Parker, which in all honesty is an over paid stuck up bitch, but who am I to comment? Variety had the following to say The film got close to happening about two years ago, but progress halted when Cattrall backed away. She wanted script controls and a salary close to tha

Mystery Abrams Trailer leaked online
2007-07-04 05:39:31
Well thanks to Matt over at ObsessedwithFilm we have gotten that mysterious trailer that we spoke about in an earlier post on the Transformers. A website seems to have been made about this film as well, although it doesn’t shred any light on it either (and it could be a fake :() Nobody really has any idea what the film is about and after watching this trailer, I have no idea either. I can definitely see where people are getting the idea of Godzilla from, ah well just have a look at it and let me know what you think it could be. It really leaves nothing in the end, you think it is leading to something, then it just dies. Weird…

Cruise banned again
2007-07-04 05:33:32
A little while back Tom Cruise and the crew who were filming Valkyrie were banned from entering German government buildings to film certain scenes in the movie. Apparently Cruise’s association with the Church of Scientology was definitely a major fact in the final decision. The Finance Ministry did in fact deny access to a Defense Ministry building where a German officer by the name of (this is a mouthful) Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg was executed because of his brash attempt to take Adolf Hitler’s life. Tom Cruise plays the guy who’s name I cannot say, we’ll refer to him as Claus Stuffenberg The local community of the town are in support of Valkyrie and the director Bryan Singer. The site is called the Bendlerblock building and is a memorial to Claus Stuffenberg and all the people who were conspiring against the once all powerful dictator. The cast and crew tried to get access to a police station to film as well, but after supposed intense review were a

New Invasion Poster

Transformers pulls in $8.5 million
2007-07-03 23:20:59
On the opening night in the US, Transformers managed to take in an estimated $8.5 million in ticket sales. It opened to 3,050 screens and had an 8 PM starting time. Not bad, roughly $2.7k per cinema, I’d be happy with that. I guess Bay took advantage of the Independence day people looking for something to do. Disney-Pixar’s Ratatouille was also still running on Monday and it managed to hold it’s own on the weekend debuting as No. 1, slipped to second spot with a cool $7.5 million in ticket sales on Monday. The film that was gonna cause ripples came in at third, with Life Free or Die Hard pulling in an estimated $4.3 million. Transformers wasn’t the only thing that night making ripples. According to many film goers, a mysterious trailer occurred during the opening of Transformers which is set to be a monster movie. The only thing is, nobody knows anything about the movie only that JJ Abrams will be directing it. The trailer is not online and when I went searching

Saw IV Plot and Cast Revealed!
2007-07-03 23:05:36
Well a little while back a synopsis was floating around the internet about Saw IV. We didn’t manage to pick it up and thankfully it was a fake. But through our friends at /Film we found that Bloody Disgusting has picked up the official plot and some of the cast for the 4th movie in the clan. Saw IV will star Tobin Bell as Jigsaw, Scott Petterson as Agent Starum. Betsy Russell will be playing the ever fruitful part of Jill (Jigsaw’s Wife), Hoffman will be played by Costas Mandylor. Rigg will be played by Lyriq Bent, Athena Karkanis will play Agent Perez, Art will be played by Justin Louis. Simon Reynolds will be helming the part of Lamanna. Mike Realba will be playing Fisk and last by not least Marty Adams will be playing Ivan. Not a bad cast, but now for the main event, the plot synopsis. I gotta put this in here, the following does contain spoilers so read if you are certain you will hate this movie or will be dying in the next few weeks / months. Jigsaw and his apprentice

Jim Carrey in Christmas Carol
2007-07-09 03:07:41
Yup the headline is right my young friends. Jim Carrey (Bruce Almight, Ace Ventura, The Mask) has agreed to play the part of Ebenezer Scrooge in the Charles Dickens childrens book adaptation, A Christmas Carol . Carrey will also be playing the roles of the 3 ghosts that haunt Scrooge. So the 3 roles that are set up for Carrey in A Christmas Carol are as follow: Ebenezer Scrooge, Ghost of Christmas Past, Ghost of Christmas Present, Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. What else is there? Tiny Tim? Will he be playing that as well? Robert Zemeckis (Ghostship, House of Wax, Matchstick Men) is going to be directing the script which he wrote. Aas well as writing the script, directing the movie Zemeckis will be producing it as well. Although not alone, he will have the help of Jack Rapke and Steve Starkey. The movie is set to be shot in complete computer graphics much like the Polar Express was shot in for Tom Hanks. Only thing is, this is Jim Carrey we are talking about? He doesn’t need any
