Holy Communion

Ricsson’s First Holy Communion is finally over. His Holy Communion was on 29th September 2007. As the group is very big, there were split into two session, one on Saturday and another on Sunday. I remembered my own First Holy Communion was in Church of St. Francis of Assisi. It was a better organized session than this one. It was rather on last Saturday when Ricsson had his Holy Communion. During my time, my Holy Communion was considered more memorable and meaningful than this. There were speech given by the priest and the sisters. I wonder where are all the sisters now. Nowadays I do not see any sisters or nuns in church. Sisters used to teach in the church also, but now, I never see any at all at St. Anthony Church. My Holy Communion was a better one. I hate to think of education loan. I have loans phobia. My family has too much loans. I would not want my children to have any education loan in future. I do not want them to have any kind of loans! Today I just completed the application form for financial assistance. This is to apply for free text book for the children. The textbooks are getting more expensive every year. In the past, I did not know of this. I took old textbooks from neighbours and friends. I kept Ricsson’s textbooks for Clara to use. I am at Philadelphia , at Topgol. This is a beautiful city. I chance upon it when I visited Richard there. Just besides Topgol is another beautiful sim with great castles, Medieval Palace and Village. I had spent some time walking around Philadelphia. It was rather quiet. I spent most of the time at Medieval Palace and I will put up the pictures the next post. Richard has some land at Philadelphia currently. I Cooked Noodles

This morning I went to the market to buy noodles — Mee Tai Mak(Lao Shu Mian) and Guo Tiao Mian. I wanted planned to cook for lunch and dinner. I bought bean sprouts, fish balls, chicken rolls and fish rolls and fish cakes. In the past, for twenty cents of bean sprouts, I need to spend quite a long time plucking the roots away. Yesterday This is some pictures of a beautiful beach sceneries taken while standing at the balcony of one of the bungalow of Richard Palace. Malyshkin is one of the sim owned by Richard Palace. He has many lands for rent in SL. He used to sell lands, but he is doing more rentals now, though he is still doing land sales. Malyshkin is used to be full of slopes. It was not a flat land, but I saw him flattening his land some time ago and it seems a rather flat land now. There are lands that come with houses and vacant lands as well. Most of the 512 square meters land does not come with houses. SL residents can rent the land to build their own house, own office or business, parks, shops, playgrounds, clubs or just anything. It costs 199L to rent a 512 sq meters of land. For people who are not good at building, they like to have land that comes with houses. Houses with Halloween Decorations Cycled To Church As usual, this morning brought the children to the church for catechism class. It was raining so heavily in the morning. Luckily by the time we need to go out of the house there was no more rain. This means that we can cycle, that helps to save money, and cycling is a good exercise. Just when we were about to reach the church, we saw the opposite terrace houses with Halloween Decorations, something which we had seen last year too. They are beautiful — cobwebs, skeletons, pumpkins etc hanging around the house. Halloween Shopping Same like last year, NTUC Fairprice was selling Halloween stuff. Nursing Course

If only there were Nursing Degree available several years back, I could be a staff nurse by now. My GCE ‘O’ Level result was good. I was able to enter the college or polytechnic. I can also start working, be a nurse studying at the nursing school in the hospital. Back then, the pay was very low. For ‘O’ level students, allowance of about S$750 if I remember correctly was given, and training was two years. For ‘A’ Level students, allowance was slightly more, perhaps about S$900, but these were not degree programs. They were merely certificate of nursing. I was not keen on the ‘qualification’, but I was very interested in the nature of the job. I gave up ‘Certificate of Nursing’ and I continued with my studies. 天地有情 I love to take pictures as I explore Second Life. It helps me to capture those beautiful moments. I had coupled it with Gallen Lo song. This is one of the nice song he sang. I had one of his song as my handphone ringtone. This is a land, Sooseunhwa, that is next to Topgol. Richard Palace has some lands at Topgol. This beautiful castle is somewhere near to Topgol. I was at Topgol, flying around and I happened to see it. I must say this is a beautiful castle. Although the surrounding area is not so nice(as there are lands for sales and other undeveloped lands around, consider the castle alone and its interior decorations and its community is such a wonderful piece of work. I do not check who is the owner. I checked on the land area. If I am not wrong, it is made up of two lands — 4096 square metres and ~16k square metres (0.25 of a sim). The television is what keeps them busy and entertained. They love watching movies and television programmes. Now that examinations are over, they often watch CDs or DVDs in school. They often come back home, telling me what shows they would be watching the next day. Whenever their teacher told them about watching shows the next day, they would come home telling me the good news. They are just crazy about watching cartoons and movies. Children are very active. Woodlands Checkpoint

Went to Woodlands Causeway or Checkpoint (Don’t know what the place is called). Took a direct bus, 911 there. Somewhere this year, perhaps around February or March, Richard and I went there to visit the Adult Shop (don’t know what is the shop name), which was being mentioned in the TV. We went to the shop, but on this day when we came here again, we could not find this shop anymore. It is such a old town here. I would not want to come here again, nothing special and nothing worthy to buy. There is Sheng Shiong Supermarket there, but I would prefer NTUC to Sheng Shiong. Used to eat at the Food Market. After they had upgraded, Richard and I went back to eat our favourite food there, but some of the stalls were not there anymore. The food were not as tasty as before. This is me in Second Life, playing my favourite songs with the piano. I love to sing when I was young. I sang when I took my shower, I sang when playing and I sang as a hobby. Goodbye to my old template, Jakarta. I never know it is such an old version. It was outdated already. I love the template anyway. However, I always like 3-column template. Just as in housekeeping, the more shelves you have the more things you can put. Now that my page rank has dropped, my tasks at PPP had reduced. As it is coming to the end of the year, everything need a cleaning up, both my real home and my virtual home, my websites. Peacemotivate.com is the first one to be ‘refurbished’. Bukit Gombak TeoChew Porridge Just as I was wondering if the Bukit Gombak Teochew Porridge is still there, I got a chance to pass by there on yesterday(Sunday). Lim Chan invited us to her new house. There was no special occasion, but just a small gathering, to have dinner at her house. We went to her house after church by train.
