The sad fact of the matter is that there are still many people using Dialup, even today. Considering that the languages and techniques applied in modern web design are bigger than those of the days of old (in general), it makes it hard on this large population of Dialup users. I forgot about this screenie I took back in my Dialup only days, but yes, this is an authentic non-Photoshopped image of what Windows reported my speed to be on a Dialup connection I made in the past. Though I doubt it is accurate, I just can't help but poke fun, and add that I still think Kubuntu is far superior to Windows. This has happened to me more than once, too...hard to believe, isn't it? Site Structure Change..Again

I am so sorry about all of this. I know that many of you are getting 404 errors for links from other sites, and that is because I migrated to a different CMS and am using a different SEF extension as of today. I will look over the logs and 301 redirect all of the links that send you to erroneous pages, so that they will send you to the correct page. Hopefully Google will reindex soon and this whole nightmare (supplemental pages + having to migrate) will be over. Keep checking back! As I have recently re-structured my site... Since there is already a guide to Sharp Fonts On A GNOME Desktop (http://www.howtoforge.com/sharp_fonts_gnome), I thought I would adapt it a bit for KDE (thanks goes to the author, as I have used some of his content here). This guide leans towards Kubuntu, as that is my distro of choice. It seems that Vista doesn't even require human interaction to break. In other words, Vista breaks itself... Kubuntu - My Favorite Distro and Why You Should Try It

I have had way to many problems lately with Vista on my HP Pavilion dv9000 (specifically a dv9250us)... Quite frankly, it is pretty, but it really doesn't get the job done. Where did I turn? I didn't go to Windows XP. I instead opted for Linux. I chose the Kubuntu distro (http://kubuntu.org/), which is Ubuntu Linux that uses the KDE manager rather than Gnome. So far, it is working beautifully for me. I am using the 64 bit version on my dual-core Athalon, and couldn't be happier. Although there is a slight learning curve, it really... As some of you may know, I recently installed the Page Cache extension for Joomla by ircmaxwell. It is simply amazing. At 9512 signatures at the writing time, the Petition for iTunes on Linux (http://www.petitiononline.com/itmslin/petition.html) seems to be faring well.
