Cool appz! 1970-01-01 00:59:59 I was reading Dipankar's blog and saw this very nifty 'Snap' preview on the site. So I was curious and clicked on the image and boy! it is really really smart!Just hover your mouse over any hyperlinks and immediately it will pop out a screen shot of the website, aint it cool! Add a link to your email signature. 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Most of us send and receive emails, be it for personal or for work wise .... So why not just add a brief description of your blog to your email signature? Keep it simple that blends well with the format of your outgoing emails and create a hyperlink on the descriptions or just simply provide the website link on it. Others that receive your mails may just be curious to find out more and just a click on it, vroom ... off they go to your blog. Just remember, if your blog is about your personal stuff then please keep it personal. Dont place signatures all over the your company's emails with links to how cute your husband is. Your clients wont want to know how cute he looks in his underwear jumping out of the fake birthday cake for you. Instead you may just risk them putting off cakes forever. :)Also, instead of just adding 1 signature why not rotate them in the emails that you send out? Some email clients allow you to do that, randomly or to follow a certain rules to it. Stick a diff
Let the blog 'sinks in' 1970-01-01 00:59:59 It takes time and a lot of patience for a blog to get picked up by new readers. You may post many articles, tried many cool tools on it, visited many other blogs, signed up with lotsa community-based portals but your traffic just dont spike at all.Let your blog 'sinks in', let time take control for a while. If you have done what is needed, you also need to give it time to take its course too. Sit back and relax on it. You cant expect to start a blog and then expect to see money rolling in from all those advertisements just like that. Even the Great Wall didnt happened overnite too. Most importantly, you must have fun while doing all these bloggings. Dont just blog for the sake of money, add in a bit of fun and enjoy it too.---------------Tags: blog, patience, great wall

PageRank dropped to zero? 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Dont worry, Google is now updating the infor and most likely will take a while before you see your Google toolbar gets its PageRank
back.I learnt about Google going to update the PageRank sometime back and was not expecting them to do it this week but was kinda surprised when I found out that the company's PageRank dropped to zero from a 4/10. Give it some time and I am sure everything will be fine.---------Tags: pagerank, google toolbar

What is Keyword density? 1970-01-01 00:59:59 If you are using Firefox browser, you may have notice that upon right-mouse click, you will see the text 'Show Keyworddensity
'. But what is Keyword density
and how can it help if you are a webmaster of your blog?According to some definitions, Keyword density can simply means the followings:"Keyword density is a measurement of how often a certain keyword appears within a page compared to the total number of words on the page."And from Wikipedia:"Keyword density is the percentage of words on a web page that match a specified set of keywords. In the context of search engine optimization keyword density can be used as a factor in determining whether a web page is relevant to a specified keyword or keyword phrase. instead of IE. Why? Simply because Firefox is so much secured than IE and also for the fact that Firefox is not from Microsoft too. :)Take a look at what this user from Forbes said and also 'Top 10 reasons to switch'1. Tabbed Browsing - Makes surfing the web faster2. Popup Blocking3. Find Stuff Easier4. Simplified Privacy / Annoyance Eliminator5. Better Bookmarks and History6. Accessible, Intelligent, Responsive7. The 'Ws' 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Ask yourself what these few 'Ws' mean to you;"What, Why, Where"Q. What is the X factor that attracts readers to your blog? Q. Why will they visit yours instead of others especially competitors? Q. Where are they from and where they head to after visiting your blog? Q. What is it that will attract readers to your blog?Identify the core, the one or few things that you think attracted your readers to come visit your blog more than once. Then break it down to the number of days, weeks or even month and evaluate from there what are the clicked links, how long they stay at that particular page etc. How? Why will they visit yours instead of others especially competitors? This is a bit challenging to know but before I go into details about it, let me first tell you that any bloggers like you and I do not just go loyal to any blogs just becos the blogs provided some very good hin

Follow up: SlashMySearch.com 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Following up on the article on SlashMySearch.com, I was surprised that it is spreading like wildfire in the blogsphere! Even from the article that I just wrote, it provided several outgoing clicks where many signed up too.Just from the few days, the signed up and the usage of searches made by the new members, the account hits US$30.00. I believe with more downlines build up overtime it is a matter of time to get the first payment at US$50.00 very quickly. Sign up here.
Words of Mouth 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Apparently SlashMySearch.com was down for the past few days with no access to the domain at all. Several members posted on the net asking if they been ripped off by the site with money stuck with them. :)Well, it is already up and everything seems to be back to normal. Some sites mentioned that it may be the high numbers of members signing up that the servers wouldnt cope. Others also said it is pulling a fast one getting the money and run away. One thing for sure, nothing beats words of mouth spreading good or bad news across the internet. Someone can just start a fire and very quickly is spread like an australia forest fire with no sight of stopping at all.The same goes to bloggers that endorse good products or services offer by others. If you provided a good customer service to a customer, she loves it and may just become a walking advertisement for you telling others about it.But if you stepped on her tail unreasonably, mind you there may be some damages to your reputations and may Read more:Words
From EntireWeb: Top 10 SEO Mistakes 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Saw this interesting read from EntireWeb
:Search engine optimization (SEO
) is a set of methods aimed at improving the ranking of a website in search engine listings. (Wikipedia)This definition of SEO sounds simple, but beware! Search engine optimization is a minefield, even for professionals, and although necessary to a business, should not be undertaken lightly. Below, is a brief look at the top 10 mistakes and how to correct them.1. Non-Relevant Linkage.External links to your site play a large part in most of the major search engine algorithms and can be considered an endorsement of your site. But if you are being linked to from sites that have no relevance to your content, then that is now considered a negative endorsement and will not raise your ranking in the search engines. Ensure all links to your pages are from relevant sites. Be wary of link builders who acquire links from gambling, pharmaceutical or adult themed sites, especially if your site is not of the same theme. Link bui Read more:SEO Mistakes

Part 1 - PayPerPost service 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Recently I been trying out this very interesting service from PayPerPost
where you are paid by advertisers for your opinion on various topics. Search through a list of opportunities, make a blog posting, get your content approved, and get paid.I just tried it out and it is really interesting as somehow the traffic to the website spiked whenever a post is made about some products from PayPerPost. You see, this is how it works:- Sign up (and then wait for them to inform you if you are in as member)- Once approved, visit 'View Opportunities' where there be a list of opportunities open for you to pick and choose which product or service to review.- Follow closely the instructions and the guideline given to you. For example, some require you to have a minimum Page Ranking of say, 3. If you are less than that, your review will most likely be rejected.- Once you take up that opportunity, you be required to submit the URL of that entry and also the title of the blog entry also. So open your b
Part 2 - PayPerPost Tips 1970-01-01 00:59:59 - Dont review just any 'opportunities' to make a few dollars. If you do not have a good grasp of the things that you are going to talk about, it will be shown very clearly.- Dont go greedy taking up any 'opportunities' trying to hit home run at the shortest time. If you dont do a good job, you may be given a negative ratings. Dont risk it.- Try to wrap around with a personal touch to the items you are reviewing. For example, dont select a female product and try to force feed it with a review when you have the least experience, especially if you are a man. :)- Focus on building up your credential first, be selective of the 'Opportunities'. Go for those that you truly believe and able to inject values to it.*Another method to earn some cash:From PayPerPost
-PayPerPost is proud to introduce the new Review My Post program! By simply putting a badge at the bottom of *EVERY* post, you can invite new prospective Posties to review your blog posts! When someone clicks on this badge and si
6 Things High Ranking Websites Have That Yours Doesn't 2007-03-02 04:42:00 Which of the following does your website have? 1. Unique Page Titles. Take a look at a selection of web pages that come up high in the search engine results for any search term and you'll notice they all have one thing in common: unique page titles. Denoted by in HTML, page titles tell the search engines what your web page is about, and are thought to be a critical factor in how search engines determine the order in which pages are displayed in the search engine result pages (SERPS) for a specific search term. 2. Descriptive Keyword Links. How do search engines find and index your site? They follow links from one page to another, indexing content as they go. If the links they follow contain keywords and phrases that are relevant to the page content, the search engines will boost the ranking of that page in their results. You should also use keywords and phrases in the site's navigation (menu), as those terms are (or should be) highly relevant for the page they link to. 3. Keywor Read more:Ranking
