Pager Rank update 2007-10-27 09:03:34 Yes, it happened. Google has started a Page Rank update. The last one was "who knows when" and I was really looking forward to this update until I saw what Google has done. Great blogs like www.connectedinternet.co.uk and www.onemansblog.com got Page Rank of 3 and 4. If you look at your Google toolbar you will notice that my blog also has a Page Rank of 4 after this update but I am sure that the number and quality of links pointing to my site is much lower that to John’s blog…
What have we learned from this update? Nothing really. All I can say that Google is doing some weird stuff and that they have really surprised me with this one….

Online success 2007-11-11 10:08:56 I was thinking last night is it really possible to succeed online if you work all by yourself with no initial money to invest. I believe that it is possible but the definition of success varies from one man to another. Marketing blog back in top 30 2007-11-25 04:59:16 Remember marketing blog challenge? I bet David from webinknow.com does. I started almost a year ago and during that time my marketing blog came from nowhere to top 20 in Google for the key phrase “marketing blog”.
Last couple of months was really bad and I wasn’t even in the top 1000 for marketing blog which made me pretty angry but it also made me realize that I was doing something wrong. Boy did learn something pretty important and that is: Never change your TITLE element on your homepage! I knew it before and yet again I have done a mistake that could cost me a lot of time and patience.
I wrote a short article and I decided to put the Marketing
Blog in my title element and two days after that my blog is at position number 25 for that same key phrase.
Hope we all have learned something from this. Google luck to everybody.
Cooking school 2007-11-26 12:02:00 Yes I know, I have been a pain in the *ss with all of my educational blog posts but I just feel lately that people lack education and this is one of my biggest motivators to post about educational topics. Marketing blog changes? 2007-12-03 14:18:17 Well folks, I am thinking about changing the content on this marketing blog a bit to attract more visitors of different interest. As you can see I have been doing some weird posts from time to time but what I am really think about is writing something like iphone review or any other gadget review together with some technological subject since I like this stuff as much as marketing.
I am hoping to get some feed back about my ideas since I am not sure will it do me good or not. I will surely decide in the next few days but I do hope it will be the right decision.

Marketing blog update and Real life problems 2007-12-08 08:31:37 So I am sitting at home doing some minor jobs on my pc and suddenly I have a need to print some documents that I needed to print like two weeks ago. While looking at my TV I am pressing CTRL + P and what do you know, I am out of ink. I really hate when these things happen and it just makes me want to have extra ink cartridges all the time. Don't you think that it is one of the worst feelings when you don't have something you really need?
The headline said update so I must tell what really made me happy today. It was my very first affiliate sale! I have sold a product that I have started promoting couple of weeks ago and today was my first sale. The commission is 39$ which I think is really good. I was getting traffic both from paid search (Adwords) and organic search. I have only spent 6.5$ on Adwords and I think that with conversion like this one it would be really great to do PPC for living.

I can't describe how happy I feel when we work on the project, only the thought about it makes me happy because I know it will be a success and it will make a lot of money even though money is not my main motivator but still it play a big role in anything you do.

Affiliate marketing is fun 2008-03-09 11:01:02 Guess what happened to me today? I got at work, fired up my laptop and started my usual procedure which consists of checking email and private messages on forums, read through my favorite blogs and checking who is online. When I opened my personal email and this same domain I saw three affiliate notifications. Wow. Three sales in one day. Well, two were yesterday and one today but i saw them all today.

I won’t go into details but my vision of saturation is simple; if you can’t get into top 10 on ALL search engines then the market is too saturated. Affiliate marketing - my second check 2008-04-28 11:10:05 Today I have received my second affiliate commission in the amount of 256.50$. It is not much but it makes a man (me) very happy. Since I have started this blog it was losing a little bit every month by covering my hosting bills. My hosting provider is pretty good and I was paying only 5$ per month for my reseller package. Great customer support by the way. The rate and the package increased to 7$ per month which is still good. So overall I have spent $165.75 on hosting bills and roughly 10$ for a domain name.
So 175.75$ spent and 133.5+256.5$ which leads to 214.25$ of profit. Nice isn't it? At least I get to write my blog and not worrying about will I be able to pay my hosting bills.
