apparently we are pirates 2007-06-05 20:49:58 Well, it seems the US (or at least a US-based research firm) is engaging in piracy. I’m sure that everyone’s first reaction to this statement would be something along the lines of “You cracked Vista?” Well, that’s not what I mean. I mean real pirates!
Play games straight from .ISO 2007-06-04 04:06:37 I am a big PC game fan and am frequently finding the games I want to play available in*.ISO format. This is great in the sense that it is just like owning the original CD, but this sucks in the sense that I burn through writable CDs like I’m getting paid for it. I wish [...]
Google Calendar on Thunderbird 2007-06-03 20:28:56 If you have set up Google
Apps for your domain/server, then you know just how useful some of the things offered can be. Aside from the awesome prospect of Gmail hosted email with your domain name for free, Google also provides Google Calendar
, a rather attractive editable calendar, also for free. [...] Read more:Thunderbird

a robot that can… do the robot? 2007-05-29 20:29:17 I copy-pasted this from a blog post on my now-dead server, so the links are removed. sorry.
I was just stumbling around on this here Interweb and came across a video of what appeared to be a robot… well, doing the robot (caterpillar style?). A few snippets of text informed me, however, that this video was [...] Read more:hellip
servin aint easy 2007-05-28 18:34:19 New to the world of blogging as I am, I am still exploring for the best methods to get things done. At the moment I am using bBlog to serve my blog posts, but I am not sure it is quite as user-interactive as I would like it to be. I’m looking into using WordPress [...]
english meets computing… but not really 2007-05-27 18:32:26 Like so many other’s my age, I find myself trudging through college in the “it seemed like a good idea at the time” direction. That is to say that I am one of countless English majors who took the major not for a love of teaching or writing, as the major would suggest, but simply [...] Read more:hellip
xkcd 2007-05-25 07:52:52 xkcd is a terrific web comic, this particular image being one of my all-time favorites, so I thought it deserved its very own domain.
crappy-blog-ophobia 2007-06-06 22:34:03 I think that a lot of blog readers as well as blog writers probably suffer from what I call ‘crappyblogophobia.’ Now, this fear is not just a fear (an oftentimes unsubstantiated one) of reading a crappy blog, but more importantly of writing a crappy blog. Hell, I know I suffer pretty heavily from this. But [...]
43 hours in 4 days 2007-06-11 18:22:03 Well, since work has been pretty rough lately (I am working 43 hours in 4 days), I haven’t posted in a couple days. I don’t have anything (finished) to put up today, either, so I’m just going to put up links directing your attention to two blogs worth a bit of a read.
The most recent [...]
Hosting your own blog. CHEAP 2007-06-28 13:21:45 This whole blogging thing is getting pretty popular right about now (RE: my one-month-old blog), and it seems like everyone wants a piece of the action. This is completely understandable considering the fact that you can easily make a few bucks on the side if you keep on top of things. Since I have only [...] Read more:Hosting
DirecTV or Digital Cable? They both suck, really… 2007-06-26 21:13:59 The bank account is tight right now, so I’m trying to ferret out all my over-priced bills and cut down on spending wherever possible. Granted, I spend way more than I need to on things I don’t really need, but in most cases those are things that either my wife or myself would rather not [...] Read more:DirecTV

Serve your own E-Mail. FREE 2007-07-02 22:26:53 This is just a brief follow up to my last post, Host your own blog. CHEAP. I guess it goes along the same lines in the sense that this is yet another cheap-o admin trick I have picked up in my time with a computer. Ok, let’s get to the free email.

Has the iPhone met it’s match? 2007-07-09 15:27:51 Well, to answer my own question: Doubtful, but let’s let the consumer decide.
I was cruising around the interweb today, and, as usual, about an hour of link following ended me up at a lolcats site, and one about the iPhone
. What a surprise. While there is nothing very new in the world of lolcats since lolcode, what I found after following a few iPhone links was pretty interesting.
This may prove to be the inexpensive, open-source, touchscreen interfaced alternative to Apple’s latest giant, but let’s not get our hopes up too high.
