Lamborghini’s El Diablo
2007-07-24 07:00:35
The Lamborghini Diablo, in many ways, enjoys a reputation for distinction in terms of  visual presence. It broadly flows along the same proportions as that of it predecessor, the Countach, which was a breakthrough in automotive design when it first came out. Before this astonishing shape appeared in 1971, bodylines were steadily lowering, making it more and more difficult to blend the cabin area or glass house, elegantly into profile. What the designer Marcello Gandini of Bertone did was to remove any break or interruption between the bonnet line and windscreen for the first time on a production car. (more…)

Bentley Continental: Old World Charm
2007-07-20 19:47:11
For a great number of years, a Bentley was merely a re-badged Rolls Royce, which was a constant bit of shame. The name once stood for one of the racing greats in the tracks at Le Mans. During the 1980s, however, the Turbo was introduced, adding an electrifying performance to Rolls Royce luxury. In addition, it also attracted the company’s first royal customer in years: Prince Charles. He keeps a Bentley along with his Aston Martin Volante convertible. Further developments led to the production of the first pure Bentley in 1991, after decades. (more…)

Fast Cars in the Philippines
2007-09-01 02:26:54
I have always been fascinated with fast cars.  There’s something about the rumbling of the engine that never fails to captivate the racer inside me.  The full speed of vehicles makes me crave for more action. Did I just say ACTION?  If you’re an action buff like me, then Philippines is the place for you.  Vehicles in this tropical country get the perfect kind of action that makes their engines go absolutely wild.  But aside from the fast cars that reign in the city’s main roads, Philippines is packed with vehicle action as many motor shows and other auto events take place in this part of Asia.  One of these events is the recently held “Fast Cars & Stars” of Ford Philippines. Held in Taguig City, this auto experience certainly thrilled many vehicle enthusiasts as it introduced the latest model of Ford Motor Company—the diesel model Ford Focus. The action-filled event featured test drives of the Ford Focus model and series of speed contests.   The incredibly fas

So Wrong About Engine Oil Level
2007-09-20 04:38:48
There’s no doubt that I am madly in love with cars, but who says that I know everything about them? Well, recently I experienced one of the most humiliating moments of my life — actually forgetting about one of the fundamentals of engine oil check. That shameful incident happened as my best friend parked his precious blue BMW Alpina B7 on the roadside for a sudden oil check. I actually argued with him about the amount of oil that should be added when the engine oil is below the “full” line of the dipstick. I insisted that the level of oil should not be between the two lines of the dipstick. Well, he was adamant that I was totally wrong. A few days after that incident, with the enlightenment of our favorite mechanic, I realized that I was, if truth be told, absolutely misguided. When adding oil, the technique is looking at the two lines on the dipstick. The level of oil should be in the middle of those two lines. I have learned my auto mechanic lesson, and now I mus

Sports Car Club of America Sponsors Racing Event to Raise Charity Funds
2007-09-14 04:35:14
Here’s one good news that greeted me recently as I did my usual net surfing. Just wanna share it with you.   Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) affiliates hosted a racing event meant to raise funds for the Mothers Against Drunk Driving movement. The race was held at the Louisiana State Police Emergency Vehicle Operations Center in Zachary last Labor Day. SCCA is a state-run association that obtained more than 60,000 members all over the country. It advocates all sorts of motor sports such as rally, road racing, and autocross. It is open to both amateur and professional racers.   Isn’t that good enough? Now, we can prove to the world that motor sports aficionados are more than just racers. They actually know how to advocate something worthwhile.

Great Vehicle Deals in Canada
2007-11-15 00:32:09
People in Canada must be so excited to hear that almost all the up to date Ford automobiles sold in their country will be offered at great discounts between 953 and 6,735 dollars. Even the price of the Ford F-Series pickup, the most famous vehicle in this second largest country in the world, has been cut off. What’s more, it is assumed that Chrysler Canada will eventually go after the trend started by Ford. It will also come up with an incentive plan. It is reported that the consumer motivation program of Chrysler will cover investments on certain vehicles and a gas discount card that entitles consumers of 20 per liter savings for an annual driving.   So what’s the reason behind this discount galore in Canada? Well, obviously, the primary aim of such program is to catch the attention of a certain market. The target market of this marketing strategy is basically the expanding group of Canadians who opt to buy automobiles in the United States than in Canada. In reality, a
