School's In Session 2007-07-24 09:14:00 See, SJP isn't afraid of a little plaid! There are a lot of off-beat trends coming out for fall (i.e. huge mohair sweaters at Prada, metal spikes on handbags and Louboutins...), but even in the midst of trends everyday girls can't possibly pull off on the street, it's nice to know there's one trend out there that anyone can wear. It's the prep school look. It has a classic, old English vibe reminiscent of school uniforms...in a good way. Think argyle, warm wool skirts, sweater vests, cozy turtlenecks, Oxford pumps, pins that look like antique badges with a British feel, even kilts (if you're brave). So it might not be as edgy as, say, black patent leather, but for gals that just want a simple, classy fall look, make like a student who's late for class and go pick up a pair of Oxford-style heels before they're all gone (which I'm sure they will be come September). What's New in J. Crew 2007-07-30 20:42:00 Whew, it's been a while since I've blogged! Sorry I've been a bit MIA lately! I'll try to be more faithful this week :)So...I just received one of many emails I get daily from J. Crew, and today, I got one saying they have officially debuted their full fall line! And no surprise...it's gorgeous and totally in sync with fall's trends, like striped cashmere sweaters, autumn-appropriate minidresses, cropped peacoat sweaters, even fashion-forward metallic distressed mary janes. Letters seem to be popping up an everything from bangles to bags to tees. M.I.A! 2007-09-12 19:15:00 Hi everyone :) Some of you may have been wondering why I haven't posted in, what, over a month? Well...it's because this once-job hunting fashionista finally landed herself a job :) So obviously, that's been taking up quite a bit of time lately, but I shall return!
