'Web Downloader' freeware update - 1.0.8.1 2007-05-26 13:15:20 And another update to 'Web Downloader' freeware, up to version 1.0.8.1.The download rate has been changed from BPS to KBPS, as suggested by Bert van Velsen. Also, following his request, the 'blue hint' window that used to show whenever the user added a new item to download is now showing again. The problem it was causing before is now solved in a different way, so no worries after all And, as always, this new version is available for download from the freeware webpage.
'File renamer' freeware update - 1.1.8.4 2007-05-26 13:10:29 Just a quick update to 'File renamer' up to version 1.1.8.4.The only change made was to use 'creation date' instead of 'last modified date', whenever possible, for sorting of files in Renamer's window list, as requested by John Wood.
'Web Downloader' freeware update - 1.0.8.0 2007-05-22 14:35:56 'Web Downloader' was also updated to version 1.0.8.0.This time a nasty bug was solved, thanks to Bert van Velsen for finding it and help on debugging! Whenever the 'Auto-reset downloads' option was selected on preferences together with 'Start downloads immediately', the program wouldn't find a new name for the file about to be downloaded and, if a file with the same name already existed on disk, it would overwrite it !! Not nice.. Also, when first called from the browser's context menu and option 'Show hint on adding' was also selected, the program wouldn't minimize even when the option to minimize was selected - this one was simply solved by disabling 'hints' when being called from the context menu, as a minimized window shouldn't show hints on screen anyway.Well, and this software is getting better and better, always with the help of users that do care to send feedback - thank you to you all
'Stock Control' software updated to v.1.0.3.4 2007-05-19 14:31:49 Our Industrial production and stocks control software has been updated to version 1.0.3.4.A few more improvements and small bugs corrected, some thanks to a few users that sent requests and suggestions to make this software better for everyone. The help file has also been changed from the old windows HLP format to the newer CHM (html help) format that Windows now uses, has this is the only format running on Windows Vista - so I was told.As always, if you have questions, suggestions or doubts, just contact us or leave a note at our support blog and our technical support people will do the best to assist you in any way they possible can. 'Web Downloader' freeware update - 1.0.7.9 2007-05-19 14:23:21 'Web Downloader' was also updated to version 1.0.7.9.The command line - when being called from a IE browser - was not working correctly when a 'non valid' file or link was being added. It has been corrected - at least I hope it was - but it is also depending on user's OS and browser so it's not so easy to test fully, unfortunately. Just hope more users send feedback - like our old time user Bert van Velsen did - to help us debug this thing! So, thank you Bert. Also, a few more options were added to preferences, like the 'Exit on downloads finished' and 'overwrite existing files'. This later one is for times when you have to download a file repeatedly and want to replace it without renaming, but must be used very carefully as it will effectively overwrite any file with same filename already on your disk!! This was, nevertheless, a fine suggestion from Helge Philipp that needs this for server use.And - you guessed it - this new version is also available for download from our fr
'File renamer' freeware update - 1.1.8.3 2007-05-19 14:14:11 'File renamer' freeware has been updated to version 1.1.8.3.A few things were improved, and the 'change file extension' has been updated so that it will now respect the upper / lower case the user wants to use - it was causing trouble when, for instance, you wanted to upload files to a Linux server and the case was wrong The 'add file date / time to ... of filename' has also been changed, replacing the brackets chars to underscore ones, for the same reason.New version of 'File Renamer' is now available from the freeware page.
And yet a few more updates to the freeware ... 2007-05-06 07:48:18 FREEwareAnd here are a few more updates
, to the freeware:'File renamer' up to version 1.1.8.1 with a few improvements, like saving spaces in renaming strings between uses. Previously it was striping all spaces - all people that noticed this know what I mean... of course, thanks are in order - again - to our good user Klaus for all his help with debuging and suggestions troughout all the years.'Wav player', up to version 1.1.1.4, with a few corrections to the command line - if files were inside the same folder and no path was defined, or if the file didn't exist, it would show an internal error and hang! Thanks to Michael Marquart for noticing this.'Watch', up to version 1.1.3.5, with a few changes to it's source. This one got me perplexed has the program was showing different names in Windows' task manager (and even no name at all) depending on the actions taken during it's use... This one was spotted by Erik den Houter and was kind of hard to solve but.. now it's showi

'But how do I get them on again, if I hide both ?' - I can ear you all asking... Well, when you hide both, a new item is added to the 'right-click' menu that leads you to preference's screen again This new version is available for downloaded from the freeware page, here
'File renamer' freeware update - 1.1.7.10 2007-04-15 13:58:00 'File renamer' freeware has been updated to version 1.1.7.10.Most changes made were related to ease of use, like on clicking the 'up-down' spin buttons the connected option being selected and on selecting options the related input box (on top of the software) also being selected automatically.A small change to option 'Auto-create' file names...' was also made, allowing you to have either (but not both) prefix or suffix as blank.Download 'File Renamer' and a few other freeware utilities from our freeware page.
'Stock Control' software updated to v.1.0.3.7 2007-06-03 11:56:42 And yet another update to production and stocks control software, up to version 1.0.3.7.On shared configurations the use of decimals and dates could be compromised if, for instance, the database was created with a date and/or decimal format and another user, on a different computer, was using a different default for he(r)'s Windows date and/or decimal format. To prevent this, another extensive change has been made, now always saving the database on a 'neutral' format and, on loading data into the program, the default date and decimal format configured on the user's computer will be used, irrespective of any other user's format on a different computer that is sharing the database. This is also valid if, for instance, the user decides to change Windows configuration in the middle of work, making the data in the database truly portable now among different computers. This change was made following an alert from some users. The change took a full day to complete and test, keeping the stan Read more:Stock

'Stock Control' software updated to v.1.0.3.6 2007-06-03 11:45:47 Our Industrial production and stocks control software has been updated to version 1.0.3.6.The main change on this update has been the introduction of extended use of decimal values everywhere instead of integer ones on some places. This means you can now have, for instance, a production of 123.851 article units instead of just 123 units, among other things. This is geared to companies that manufacture in weight units, for instance. As this was a somewhat large change to the code, if you find any - unlikely - inconsistencies, don't hesitate in letting us know, ok? 'Stock Control' software updated to v.1.0.3.8 2007-06-10 12:49:48 The Industrial production and stocks control software got even better, and has been updated again, up to version 1.0.3.8.It now shows a much better version of 'production planning', with selection of equipments for each product planed - and remembering last machine/resource used. Thank you all very much for all the people that cared to email back!Wishing you all a good new year of 2008, and keep watching this space, ok?

Help files updated... 2007-08-05 12:11:45 Both freeware 'Web Downloader' and 'File renamer' have been updated with a new format html (.chm) help file, as the older format (.hlp) file is slowly being made obsolete by Windows Vista... FREE software? Yes, it is! 2007-07-22 09:39:56 A few people wrote back asking if all my freeware was really FREE... (??)Well, it is! Why do people find it so strange for me to be giving away my own software? I know I have had a few suggestions from users saying that I should turn at least some of it to commercial software, as 'they are so good' - their words, not mine - but everything on the freeware has always been free and I won't change it.At least, as long as I am able to support the expenses of maintaining it, as downloads are now well above 200 Mb per day !!Anyway, just download everything to your hearts content and keep sending me feedback on the programs as, more than donations - although those also help a lot - your suggestions and opinions are what helps me keep motivated to further develop those utility programs making the

'Softwar Submitter' new update - 1.0.2.2 2007-07-21 13:33:25 There is a new update available to 'Softwar Submit', the software to let software authors publish their work online across the internet, is now available. This update is already available for quite a while, although it hasn't been announced here. What has really been updated now is the software database of submit sites, trimming a few old sites that have gone dead - or changed subject - keeping it updated. Still, the software keeps it's site database above the 350 items - and those are true sites to submit to, not just link sites nor anything like it.You can, of course, download a trial version of this software from our webpage. This trial version has no limits, except for the fact that it only has a few sites available on it's list. To get the full database, you have to buy the full versi Read more:Submitter

Server on and off ... 2007-06-28 16:00:10 Our server has been on and off for the past week or so due to a small breakdown leading to the full rebuild of the web server - it was time already, as it had been up continuously for the past 7 (yes, seven) years...
