The morning-after You Know What..
2007-08-11 00:21:00
... which was Thursday, I asked my brother and my mom if they were awoken by the same noise. My mom, who was up until 3 something playing her Spider Solitaire told me that she didn't hear a sound. The weirdest thing however, is my brother not hearing it too. Because his bed is directly beside the window. The same side as my room's window. So if I heard something THAT loud, i find it impossible that he didn't hear it too.. So for the past 2 nights, my husband asked me to sleep in my mom's room.. Which I find very inconvenient.. So tonight I'm moving back to my room. My husband will be coming back again in the next few days, so there's nothing to worry about. My brother is worried because of my pregnancy. He says "things" attack pregnant ladies. Now, is that supposed to make me feel better????

Contacts, anyone???
2007-08-10 02:20:00
Once upon a time, I was working as a telemarketer with one of Malaysia's leading resorts. I left after a mere 5 months. Yes, it was not easy. One thing you need when you take up a job like that is YOU NEED CONTACTS. Whatever business that you're doing OR thinking of doing, you need contacts. Preferably some sales leads so that you can inform all your potential customers about your business. Martin Worldwide provides you with just that. They are one of the largest and also one of the most successful Mailing Lists provider in the United States. They have compiled an extensive database of the most active, most responsive and most importantly, consumers with an impulsive buying history. Gone are the days that you call or mail consumers that flick your products away like an annoying pest. From telemarketing lists, consumer lists, business lists, mortgage lists, etc, this unparalleled website offers you AND guarantees you that the lists they provide you with, will be exactly what you need!

The You-Know-What post
2007-08-10 01:36:00
I promised you guys that I would tell the reason why I'm sleeping on a mattress on the floor in my mom's room, right?? (On my husband's request, mind you).Well, actually, the story was...The night before last night.. some indistinguishable noises woke me up in the middle of the night. Can't say what time that was because the clock in my room was out of batteries and I left my handphone in the living room.I don't know how to describe the sound I heard.. It was like a shrieking bird/siren/banshee thingy. At first I thought I was still sleepy and pretty much disoriented. But the sound got louder and it was really really annoying. My first thought was, whose car alarm is that?? Then it stopped for like 10 seconds. Then it started up again.. then I thought, isn't that what criminals do to warn their accomplices that all is NOT clear. But then again, who in their right mind would do it THAT loud? I wanted to go to the next room and check with my brother. But I didn't want to leave my s

Wake me up before you go-go (Part 2)
2007-08-09 20:34:00
... continuation... So, to answer Cindy's question... I ended up having Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich with a cup of hot Milo. :) Sorry to burst anyone's bubble... it's nothing "wow" but it hit the comfort spot that I was looking for. Reminded me of the breakfast that my late grandmother prepared for me before school. For exams, it was rather special.. Oats and a cup of hot Horlicks. *Forgive me nek, I know you meant well but I couldn't stomach it.. but I do love you!!* :D Now, I am waiting for Buddy to wake up. We slept on a mattress on the floor of my mom's room last night.. (Why??? I'll post about it soon.) Anyways, buddy is sleeping now with upper body on the bed and lower body on the floor. I changed his position and 2 minutes later, he ended up on the same position as before. *sigh*My sister is badgering me and mom to go out. Where?? She says she doesn't know.. she says she just feels like "want to go jalan". Keleeeever gel!! (Translation: Clever girl). Skipping school

Wake me up before you go-go.. (Part 1)
2007-08-09 18:32:00
That's exactly what I said to my kid sister last night.. I asked her to wake me up before she left for school so I can do the house chores early. Hehehe. Wow.. Unbelievable right?? Yeah, actually it is unbelievable.. Because the actual truth is, I asked her to wake me up early because I wanted to use the comp before everyone in the house (including buddy) bugs me around asking me to do this and that. So... this is my alone time.. (and FYI, before I started, I DID do the housework).. heheheheh.. Believe it or not, my kid sister woke up as she usually does and woke me up.. Next thing I knew she crawled back into bed.. I woke her up again at 6.30am and heard her mumble something incoherent like "mmmmnotgoingtoshooollll".. I looked beside her to my mom (yes, she still sleeps with my mom), who was still in slumberland, and said "OK!". I thought I caught a hint of a smile within the confines of the blanket. Oh well.. I know for sure I've had one of those days before. Besides, it's a Frida

Great reading...
2007-08-13 06:04:00
Thanks Rozie for giving me this book for my birthday. Yeah.. even if my birthday was some 3 months ago. :D I love it.. I've just started reading it hence the absence of my regular blogging. "... Here, in this beautifully written and forceful memoir, is Poitier's own introspective look at what has informed his performances and his life. What emerges is a picture of a man seeking truth, passion and balance in the face of limits - his own and the world's. A triumph of the spirit, The Measure of a Man captures the essential Poitier..."Thanks again Roz! *hugs*

Or maybe he'll be obliging and get me one. *More wishful thinking!* I think it's just sooo darlingggg!!! Oh well.. (will continue to dream on)...

Life on Saturday..
2007-08-18 04:16:00
Today, we went to Fratini's. The Italian restaurant at Warisan Square.. Had to let out some steam after seeing our Malaysian doubles (badminton, that is) losing to the Japanese doubles. It was sooo intense, I kept turning my back to the tv and just listen to the crowds' cheers and jeers.Anyways, these were what we had. This was what mom had. The mixed seafood linguini. Not bad. A tad bit too salty. The seafood soup was what my Aunty Siti had.My sister Seri, had the Saffron with Smoked Salmon Penne... or something along those lines. :) Tasted better than the one they used to serve in Mosaic, Hyatt. The "Lasagna di Carne".. Buddy's order. It was pretty good. Buddy really enjoyed it.. he finished it all. :D So happy!!And mine.. well, originally I ordered the Tiger Prawn stuffed Ravioli. However, they ended up serving me the Spicy Tiger Prawns instead. It was alright.. but not what I wanted. I was craving for the ravioli. I was so disappointed that I forgot to take a picture of it (beauti

Starry eyed..
2007-08-17 09:01:00
I kinda dig this baby crib for my little one. Pretty snazzy huh?? I'm checking out websites for baby furniture and drooling over all the cutesy and gorgeous stuff. I wish I was in KL shopping for all the baby things I need. Sure, you can get stuff here in KK, just that, my shopping partner in crime a.k.a Ratu Syura, won't be able to come back until Raya. *hmph* So, for the time being, while I'm still figuring things out - the whole "where do I shop" situation, I will continue to browse online and get a gist of what I want for MY baby. On another note, HAPPY 1 WEEK OLD, Presley and Preston.. two of PapaJ's latest addition to the family!! Congrats again, PapaJ!

Drive Shmrive
2007-08-17 01:27:00
Most of those who know me, KNOW that I DON'T drive. Why? Because. Not a good enough excuse??? Okay.. tell you what fellow bloggers.. If any of you can interpret this sign for me, I might get my license sometime next year.. after the arrival of my little one.I took that picture from the first floor of Stadium Likas in KK. :DSo, tell me what the hell is it doing there?? My husband thought it was the most hilarious road sign he's ever seen. What do you peepz think?

Dedicated to Rafiq
2007-08-15 01:13:00
Rafiq, these are the pics that you specifically requested..after transforming... I know it doesn't quite look like the old one from the cartoons. The model collectible (like the one in the movie), needs to be pre-ordered and costs so much more. So, I had to get Buddy this one. Still, as was stated on the box, it's the Hasbro Collectible Optimus Prime Classic Voyager. But at least, the Transformers logo on the door still changes color when you rub it. Just like the old ones. :DWell, enjoy!

rat-a-too-ee!!
2007-08-20 11:56:00
I really thought that this movie was brilliant! My son enjoyed it, obviously. My MOM enjoyed it too. That's a first. She's usually not into all these animation movies. She slept watching Shrek 3. The movie was humorous and realistic! Not realistic meaning that a rat CAN cook, mind you.. Realistic in a way that all the movements of the rats in this animation were depicted so amazingly. However, if I saw a rat in the kitchen, what more to say seeing one actually COOK, I'd be horrified!! Nevertheless, I'd say this movie is way better than Cars and The Incredibles. For me, a 6.5/10. Worth watching!

Let's Go Oldschool!
2007-08-20 11:24:00
I don't know about you guys, but when it comes to oldschool music, you could count on me to take out my dancing shoes and shake my bum bum! I'm such a fan of 80's music and I have my dancing partner, Syura, to shake the dance floor with!Since I've been a S.A.H.M ever since I had Buddy three years ago, I haven't really had the privilege to hang out with the girls and hit the clubs for 80's night. That really is a bummer for me. Thanks to LaRadioLive.com, Freestyle's #1 iRadio Station, I'm still able to enjoy my fave tunes that were classic hits during the 80's and 90's.LaRadioLive.com is actually an internet radio station that broadcasts 24/7!If you wanna know more about this great radio station, check out their MySpace page or feel free to email them at pd@laradiolive.comCheck it out guys! I wanna go wiggle my hips to Footloose! *Brought to you by LaRadioLive.com*

Smart + Sassy = "Randi"
2007-08-20 11:17:00
Honestly peepz, I didn't think that Bill Rancic (winner of the first season of Donald Trumps Apprentice) would end up getting married to the sassy E! host Giuliana Depandi. They seem like a cute but odd couple.. Still, in my opinion, he's wayyy better off with Giuliana than someone like Lindsay Lohan or Scarlett Johansson.. Yikes!!

Teeheehee.. I love my new layout.. Thank you SIS Ratu Syura!! You work wonders! Well, I love love love it. Thanks Cindy for allowing me to take your layout.. the rooster's sooo adorable. I wasn't expecting to wake up and find a new layout all done for me.. Thanks again. I love the "motherhood is awesome" touch.. Muah!!

New layout..
2007-08-25 10:43:00
I am in dire need of a new layout . I'm getting pretty bored of my layout. I want a new one.. But I can't find any layouts that strikes me in the heart.. *aisehman*.. Hehehe. I still want a 3 column type.. Kak SyuraaAAAAAAaaaa.. do for me!! Thank you!! I knew you would!! :D Make it nice, ya?

Raining cats and dogs..
2007-08-25 07:46:00
As I am writing my post, the thunderstorm outside is continuing steadily. The toads are croaking, snails are crawling in the garden (or so I think), and the koi are having a marvelous time in the pond. As for me, I am nursing a backache. *laughing* I can't help it, sorry. I do want to re-iterate the story to all of you, but it was just so hilarious I can't stop cackling with laughter. If my backache didn't hurt like all hell, I think I'll be laughing even louder. Anyways, the story goes like this.. I was in the wet kitchen area hanging the laundry on those tiered thingamajigs.. What do you call 'em? The indoor clothesline. Yeah, that's it. Since it was raining like nobody's business, the rain seemed to be blowing in all the "tempias" (translation: rain droplets) to the kitchen area. So as I was going back inside, I slipped on a puddle of water and I ALMOST did a split right then and there. CAN YOU IMAGINE????? Man, you guys should have seen me. It was hilarious!! hahahahaha.. T

I need a maid..
2007-08-25 02:42:00
I'm exhausted. It's only 3.43pm and I am totally pooped. My mom and kid sis went out leaving me and buddy to our own devices.. and to which I spent my time cleaning the house. Yes, it's been my normal routine. Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming all four corners of the house, top and bottom. Not forgetting to make up their bed, my bed and buddy's pile of toy mess. UNTIL... I came upon the guest room. My kid sister has been using it lately for her own "personal space" as she calls it. She's been wanting her own room but my mom said she's not ready for the responsibility yet. And I agree wholeheartedly!! Because not only the room was a mess... I spent a total of 2 hours just cleaning the adjoining bathroom. (It's not even big). She had her "posse"/"gang" over for a sleep over twice or was it three times last month. I hadn't bothered to check the state of the room and bathroom until today. I wish I hadn't. So I wouldn't feel compelled to clean it. I'm not usually a neat freak.. but si

Blindsided!
2007-08-24 12:04:00
I can't wait for Syura to come back. Can't wait to shop with her.. She did say she wanted to redecorate the balcony with me to make it less spooky. She wants to have blinds and flowers.. I would really love to have some wicker furniture there too, after all it is a spacious balcony. I don't know what type of blinds she wants, though. I've always liked venetian blinds although it's hardly suitable for the balcony. But then again, that's why the range of window blinds at Terry's Fabrics is the perfect place to consult. It shows a wide range of blinds to choose from that complements the interior or color scheme of any room. These discounted window blinds promise quality that combines a wealth of modern and traditional designs. From Roller, Roman, Venetian, Vertical and Wooden blinds, I'm sure Syura and I won't have any problems choosing one that suits our beloved balcony.I guess we'll just have to wait and see then.. ;)*sponsored post

I feel guilty..
2007-08-24 11:53:00
.. and feel like a totally bad mother. Why?? Well, last night, my brother stopped by the house with a bag of goodies.. (namely, Burger King). So that was our supper for last night.. Unhealthy, I know. And tonight.. I told you guys we went to City Mall just now right?? And yeah.. we went to KFC.. for Buddy's sake. Double unhealthy. Okay.. So around 11pm just now. My super hyper son came up to me and said,Buddy: "Buddy hungrryyyyy.."Me: "Mommy make for you bread ok??"Buddy: "No, bread. Optimus want burger. Uncle Tim buy."(I looked over to my mom who was staring at both of us in horror - with this book regarding health and what not to eat in her hands).Nana: "Buddy, it's 11 o'clock already.. Just take biscuits ok? Mommy make."Buddy: "Buddy hungrryyy.. buddy want burger and O (translation= onion rings)"After seeing his pitiful puppy dog look...Nana: "Come lah let's go before Burger King closes".Buddy: (smiles from ear to ear).. "Mommy pay???"Mommy: "mmm".I feel like the world's worst

Books for everyone.. My Top 10.
2007-08-24 08:15:00
Went to City Mall just now.. My kid sis seems to have this addiction to bookstores or anything remotely connected to stationeries. Anyways, as I was browsing through some books, I thought that some of the books really made great gifts. As seeing that Christmas isn't THAT faaaaar away..... Ok, ok maybe it is a little too soon to think of Christmas gifts.. so sue me. Any occasion will do, for that matter. Here are just some books that I would really recommend for gifts OR even for yourself.. Brag! The Art of Tooting Your Own Horn Without Blowing It - Peggy Klaus. I really think this is a great one to give to your "brags-so-much-that-you-feel-like-blowing-your-ears-off" kinda friend. At least it allows him/her to brag subtly while you can keep your ears intact.Trade Secrets. Everything You Will Ever Need To Know About Everything. - Various Authors. This self help book is amazing! As I perused the book a little, I found out that to lose weight on the hips, you need to avoid spicy food! So

I'm having a major craving for ice cream right now. I don't care what brand it is... I don't care if you give me Paddle Pop right now, I'll wrestle it from you. Actually, there is a tub of Bulla's Chocolate "something or other" ice cream in the freezer downstairs. But yes, I am a certified preggers scaredy cat. No way am I going to walk down the spiral staircase and into the kitchen and have to prepare myself a bowl. (I'm a bowl chick.. not a tub hogger). Anyways, was browsing around the net and found this quiz.. Pretty interesting how they came up with that result just from my name.. :D Have fun checking yours out..You Are Dave Matthews Band Magic Brownies Ice CreamNot *those* magic brownies! What Flavor Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Are You?

King Of Bargains
2007-08-23 08:53:00
If there's one thing you want to know about my husband, is that he's a stickler for bargains. I mean everyone is, right? Who isn't? But he is the KING AND MASTER of looking for bargains. Currently, he is looking to apply for a credit card (both of us don't use any).. but he just can't seem to make up his mind (for the past few years!)... Well, honey, this is the answer for you. Try Mint credit cards. It's a 0% interest credit card which means.. *drum roll please* 0% balance transfers until 1 October 2008, and also 0% on purchases up to 1 March 2008. Better yet, FREE online account management (so you can download all your statements and also receive email and text alerts), NO ANNUAL FEE (everyone's dream!), FREE additional card for a friend/partner. *ehem ehem* Also, since we'll be traveling a lot (as you promised), the Mint card is accepted worldwide, over 24 million locations or wherever we see the MasterCard sign. What was it you liked to say?? Savvy?? Definitely. As always

Gift Shopping..
2007-08-23 01:21:00
I'll be leaving the sanctuary of my comfy chair and my only sense of entertainment (i.e. blogging/blog hopping/blog anything) for a couple of hours to do some gift shopping for a certain someone. I would tell you who it is, but just in case said person will somehow decide to peruse my blog... *sshhhhh*But then again of course that person will get a hint. After all, that person's birthday is pretty near.. hehehehe.. okay okay.. I'll let it out. It's my sister-in-law's birthday. No, she doesn't read my blog. Neither does her sister - anymore... due to my recently deleted Friendster account (that I link here through my ex-friendster blog). Anyways, I am not sure what we (the whole family, excluding my brother - he can get his own wife something) are gonna get her. I'm sure she'll love makeup.. Cindy gave me that idea after reading her post on makeup shopping. Hehehe. Mom wants to get her perfume. My kid sis says some office clothes will be nice since she just started working. Howe

Shana and Syura's Gift to me..
2007-08-23 01:06:00
Thank you Shana and Ratu Syura for awarding me with this award.. I really really appreciate it.. I don't know how much I deserve it.. OR whether I actually inspire other people with my rants and rambles. However, I will not let this award go to waste.. in a sense that I hope to improve my blogging content so that it will REALLY inspire people.. Anyways, thanks again.. I adore you guys.. and you guys deserve it just as much if not more.. Love, Me.

I need a Vacation!
2007-08-28 21:19:00
Yes.. I know I know. I said I need a maid, right?? Well, now, I need a vacation. Preferably, one of those beach resort holidays. I don't know.. I just love the sea. Still I would prefer somewhere else other than Sabah. More like those exotic beach holidays that Syura, Rafiq and I were planning to go to. Haha. I think if we want to go for beach holidays, we should try out Dialaflight.com. You can plan your whole dream vacation.. it's like having a vacation custom-made for you. From cheap flights to renting suitable cars, you can get basically everything you need on a holiday.Maybe we can go for a retreat to Bali.. I love that place. But then we could try Phuket.. and if we get lucky enough, maybe even Hawaii. :D The holiday offers for tropical holidays in Barbados is just amazing! 7 nights for £549 per person.. Okay, that is pushing it a little.. but one can only hope, right??Yup, all with the help from Dialaflight. So, it's never too early to start planning. Even if I am as huge as

8 more weeks to go..
2007-08-28 07:58:00
Yup.. That's right.. 8 more weeks to the impending birth of my little one. I'm getting excited yet a little anxious since I haven't even started baby shopping. I always told myself that it was too soon.. Until I was having my doctor's review this morning, and he told me that he'll want to see me in another 2 weeks. I was like "Whaaatt.." Am I THAT close to giving birth?? Seems so. Well, as to answer PapaJoneh's question, the baby is so far doing fine.. The doctor is pretty happy with the growth and all.. And no more hard work for me. More calcium to reduce leg cramps.. and that was it. Until the next fortnight, that was all the update I received regarding the baby. Now, what I have to start concentrating on is the SHOPPING!! Yeehaaaww~!! hahahaa.. I need to list down what I need so I can "organise" my shopping spree. Okay, shopping spree is just pushing it. Just plain old shopping then. Maybe Syura should organise me a baby shower when she gets back.. :D Well, gotta go. The husba

Gift Shopping... The result!
2007-08-26 23:51:00
Note: This is an overdue post. :DWell, after scouring the shops at Warisan Square, we finally found something for her.. Ended up getting her a blouse that she could use to the office. No pics, sorry.. My camera was charging that day. Teehee.. Anyways, we got it from Seed. Mom and I thought it was really nice and suitable for her. Anyways, that was on the 23rd, right? Well, her birthday was on the 24th. Just the next day. Mom and Seri sent it to her office that day... and we haven't heard from her since... *gasp* I don't think she liked it.. Hahaha. Ok, I am exaggerating. They came over last night.. And since we haven't heard from her since her birthday, me, being the busybody that I'm NOT, just had to ask her Me: "So, did you like your present?" Her: "Oh ya. Thanks". *silence* Me: "So it fit well also la?"Her: "I dunno. I didn't try it on. But it looks like it's my size. I'm sure it'll fit".Me: *burst into tears* Hahahahaha. Okay okay..
