Britney's Meltdown
2007-07-31 06:56:00
Britney Spears has suffered another breakdown on the set of her new music video, with production grinding to a halt after she began "sobbing hysterically" during a pole dance routine, according to reports. The troubled pop star was shooting the video for her new single Give Me More in Los Angeles last Wednesday (25Jul07), but had been holding up filming with her unwillingness to co-operate with the crew while taking hour-long breaks in between production. Onlookers claim Spears - dressed in a black leather waistcoat, black hot pants and fishnet tights - appeared "disorientated" throughout the shoot, before becoming paranoid when she performed her sexy dance routine. A source tells British newspaper the News of the World, "Britney was completely uncooperative and left everyone hanging about when she went for an hour's massage - twice.Personally, I think she needs help. Lots of it. Or else she'll just end up losing more than her hair. More like her sanity, by the way I see it. But come

Family Outing
2007-07-30 08:27:00
Yesterday, the hubby was scheduled to go back to KL in the evening so we took the opportunity of the nice weather to have a family outing.. where else in KK to bring THE KID if not to the Lok Kawi Wildlife Park!Actually we wanted to go in the morning, right after breakfast but had to wait for my mom, younger sis and her friend (who slept over). After alot of dilly dallying, we finally were out the house to head for the park at 1pm..Yeah.. I know I said after breakfast. But it ended up being brunch. *sigh*ANYWAYS, it was our first time to the park.. We only had to pay RM20 for entrance fee. RM10 for each adult. Kids are free. I think.. or maybe kids under a certain age.. I don't know. All I know is that my son wasn't charged for admittance.Buddy was so excited to be there. So he and daddy went ahead.. running. Haha. I just took my own sweet time... feeling sooooo "Zoo Tycoon"-ish. Well, for those who play the game, you'll understand.Well, here are some pics that I took during our vis

Ooohhh.. you're so "REXY"!
2007-07-25 22:32:00
Have you heard? Kate Moss has started a new fad! And no.. it's not from her latest designs with Topshop. The new fad is... (drumroll please).. her new bod! The Brits have labeled her new bod, REXY. Which by the way is, a cross between looking AnoREXic and Sexy. What has the world turned into? Since when can looking almost anorexic is sexy.. *sigh*.. I don't know. But one thing I know for sure is, I don't want to look REXY. Thanks but no thanks. And please, peepz. Click click. Don't forget to feed the hungry. (maybe Ms. Moss is one of them.. hehehe). Sorry. Bad joke.

Feed the Hungry
2007-07-25 03:28:00
As I was doing my usual blog hopping today, I noticed that us bloggers must have had at LEAST one post on food. Accompanied with pictures. U name it, we've blogged about it. Cakes, done. Local food, done. Durians, done done done done. (at least 4 bloggers - including myself have blogged about it this past month or so).We love food. We can't help ourselves. I feel really fortunate that food comes in abundance wherever we go.. and that none of us have to go through starvation and hunger. Therefore, we should really count our blessings that we lead a happy and blessed life. So, why don't we lend a helping hand to those who need it the most? Famous celebrities, Sheryl Crow, Drew Barrymore, Angelina Jolie.. all the UN ambassadors are doing their part in the battle to fight hunger.. Why not include ourselves in trying to help the UN in their bid to end child hunger by 2015.ONE CLICK. That's all it takes. One click and one child will be fed by a sponsor. So, I hope all of us can take time

Soul of the Universe

Last night I started reading Harry Potter Book 7 and only slept around 4am. Or was it 4.30am?? I am now halfway and stopped reading it. It's pretty intense actually.. I wonder how 7 year olds are able to handle it. Haha.Anyways, I haven't picked up the book today. Went out most of the day and besides, I don't want to end the book so soon. Went for lunch at Ocean King somewhere around Beverly Hills, Bundusan. Then went to Centre Point because my kid sis didn't get the things she wanted at Popular (City Mall) yesterday and wanted to try the store in CP instead.Found another book I was looking for. "The Secret". They had both the book and VCD set. The book was priced at RM61.50 and the VCD was at RM99.90 , I think. Haha. I think we were in line with the universe or something.. We were talking about the book all through lunch, and an old friend of my dad who was eating at Ocean King as well, picked up our bill! How "in line" can you get??(Okay, I wish I could tell you what I'm talking

Do your bidding!
2007-08-05 09:08:00
Have any of you ever participated in an auction before?? I've had the chance to follow my mom once for a carpet auction.. and it really was interesting.. As most of you know, auctions start with the lowest bid, and builds up until the highest bid is made.. Therefore the purchase goes to the highest bidder. I don't know about you guys, but I don't have the means to participate in auctions. What I do have the means for is, participating in a game that gives cash prizes and free gifts by having the lowest and unique bid! It's sooo fun and totally easy to do. Instead of like an auction where you purchase things by having the highest bid, you get to enter this sweepstake by doing the total opposite. Just enter the lowest and most unique bid that you can come up with. The amount that you bid is just a number to determine the winner. It's not like you have to pay a cent! That's the fun part! And the prizes are just to die for! Apple I-phones, Designer bags, HDTV and much more.. Cool, h

Har! Har! Har!
2007-08-04 05:10:00
Today's not that bad after all!! After doing all the housework, okay, maybe not all, (haven't done the ironing yet), we went for lunch at Anjappar at Asia City Heritage Plaza (or something like that). Ooohhhh lovely authentic Indian food. Unfortunately for all my readers out there.. I'm not much of a camwhore. I DID bring the camera but didn't take any pictures because once I took it out, Buddy started taking nonsense pictures, so back it went inside my bag. Next time hopefully, I'll snap all the delish dishes that we ate. The garlic naan was yummy-yummy by the way.Anyways, after that.. We went to City Mall because my younger sis wanted to get some books from Popular and other stuff.. and HAR HAR HAR!! She didn't get the books that she initially wanted because they were out of stock. But what WASN'T out of stock was the...Kekekekeke. Yes.. I FINALLY GOT THE BOOK! I got it for RM82.42 and got a free Harry Potter Book 7 T-Shirt. However, the T-shirt is nothing to shout about. Look

Saturday Afternoon BLues...

Today is one of those days when I just want to laze around doing nothing.. But unfortunately, I'm not that lucky. I've got tons of ironing to do. A stack of plates to wash. Laundry to do.. (the weather isn't helping one bit, too). Sweeping. Vacuuming. I just want to sit down and watch TV. The only show that I watched this whole week, was Grey's Anatomy on 8tv, last Wednesday at 11pm. That was it. Nothing else. But that's ok. As long as I get my dosage of the comp, that's fine by me. At least I get to connect with fellow bloggers and the outside world. Yes, I am ranting for no particular reason. It's so not "The Secret" way. Nevertheless, I need to let it out. I wanna go out and shop.. but my son "bankrupt-ed" me yesterday after a trip to KK Toys. OK, so maybe it was my fault for indulging him in the first place.. but he was missing his daddy.. and missing the zoo.. so I just felt bad about not getting him what he wanted. Which was... of course.. his Hasbro dream toy, Optimus Pri

Buddy's Language Guide (for Rara)
2007-08-03 10:06:00
As most of you all know, Buddy is my 3 year old son. Of course his real name is NOT Buddy. That's just his "nama timangan" (translation: pet name). Anyways, I just noticed that while I can understand whatever my son is saying.. people around me are just laughing and furrowing their brows as if they can't understand a word he's saying. Because they CAN'T. And I just realised that.I'm too attuned to his language that to me, it's not alien anymore. I know that most kids his age can speak very well indeed.. but 1) sometimes he CHOOSES to talk like that. 2) I found out that boys talk slower than girls. Not having a slower speech. Slower as in learning to talk. So here are a few of Buddy's words that lately he has chosen to use in his daily conversations. (It may not be of any interest to you guys, but it will certainly help if one day you were to have a conversation with him). Especially for his Aunty Syura. Plan your dream vacation!
2007-08-08 03:38:00
I love travelling.. I would really love to go and travel one day.. WITH my kids. Most people I know usually tell me to leave the kids behind. They'll only delay your traveling and make it harder to go sight-seeing. But then again, without my kids, I might as well stay at home instead of traveling especially with all the homesickness I might get. In the end, I might just badger my husband to bring me home. Having a husband who works in an airline company, our budget for tickets are pretty minimal.. So staying at a good hotel with good prices are exactly what we are aiming for when we plan to travel one of these days. Luckily for me, Hotel Reservations can be done easily and most importantly, more affordable than my budget will allow. Booking your hotel accomodation or vacation package online with HotelReservations.com can save you up to more than 70% compared to other online offers available. This site gives you the lowest rates - GUARANTEED. Worldwide destinations too! If you don't

Coupons Galore!!
2007-08-07 05:13:00
Never had I imagined that online shopping could be so much fun!! ESPECIALLY, with a site like CouponChief.com, you can get almost anything with great deals and discounts. I know for a fact that my brother would flip out with the GNC deals that they offer. Like most guys, he's into going to the gym and building up his body and he just swears by the products that he's taken. Yeah, he can just drive down to Centre Point to get it, but with deals like this, how can one resist??As for myself, I wouldn't mind getting the Gap coupons. I mean, who wouldn't? Would you turn away a great deal from one of your favourite stores?? I think not. After all, with Baby No.2 coming up, mommy needs all the great deals that she can get!So why not check it out and see what they have in store for you!

Ban Gwen Stefani's Concert?
2007-08-02 03:09:00
Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia should pull the plug on the Kuala Lumpur leg of US Singer Gwen Steefani's upcoming Asian tour because of her indecent dressing and obscenity, a Muslim students' group said on Tuesday. The 10,000-strong National Union of Malaysian Muslim Students said Stefani 's August 21st concert, which is part of her "Sweet Escape" tour, would clash with local Asian and Islamic values."Her video clips promoting the event are too obscene," Mohamad Hilmi Ramli, the group's president, told Reuters. "We want the organisers to cancel the concert, failing which we will ask the authorities to intervene."Ethnic Malays, who are by definition Muslims, make up just over half of Malaysia's 26 million people. Ethnic Chinese and Indians who are mostly Buddhists, Christians or Hindus, form sizeable minorities.Hilmi also criticised Malaysian mobile phone firm Maxis Communications for promoting the concert."Maxis has been staging a series of foreign acts... to make a profit and to expose our

Our very own Borneo Orchid
2007-08-01 22:08:00
I know there's lots of hoo-haa going on about the Borneo Orchid show at Tanjung Aru.. Can't remember the date, though.. Mom is planning on going I think with her "gardening gang".. Usually she'll bring me to tag along. I still don't know whether I wanna go or not.Anyways, after YEARS AND YEARS of trying to "piara" or care for this particular orchid, my mom never got it to bloom. So she got fed up of trying and just really let it be. Suddenly while getting into the car, we caught a glimpse of colour near the garage.. And there it was.. blooming in all its wonder!I'm not really into gardening but this pretty orchid really makes me feel all nice and happy. :D Maybe I should pick up this "gardening thing" soon. :)

Honestly, I'm a dummy when it comes to cars. Or driving. Yup, that's true. I don't own a car... because I can't drive to begin with. WHY? Because.I think for my next birthday someone can buy me a "Driving for Dummies" book.. and I will treasure it forever. Haha. I do feel the need to learn how to drive and one day own my own car.. but I don't see that happening in the near future, though. It's not only driving. I don't know crap about cars, either. Syura or my brother will talk about cars and I'll just listen like... *dazed*... I don't know the mechanics of the car.. and yes, when it comes to purchasing a car (like what most of my friends are talking about nowadays), I can't even discuss insurance coverage for cars or where to get better car insurance rates. I am really totally alien when it comes to all this. But then again, one can just check out insurance quotes online, can't they?Well, whatever it is, at least for the time being, I still don't have to worry too much abou

But come
