Especially for Ratu Syura 2007-07-21 04:57:00 Happy birthday to you...Happy birthday to you...Happy birthday to RARAAAAAAA!!!Happy birthday to youuuuuuuuuuu....!! Yay!! Happy birthday to my dearestestest KAK SYURA!! My gawd.. She's 26!!! OMG!! She's soooo old! Haha.. no lah.. Old pun, I'm the one with the kids. *gasp* hahaha.. Sorry.. I don't have a birthday present for you.. and ur "beloved" bro-in-law pun bukan boleh harap sangat to find you a pressie for me to pass to you over there.. *shakes head*.. (hopeless in the gift buying department)..Nemermine.. Later we go makan at Victoria's Station.. kalau ndak mampu nanti.. we just go eat at the bus station in Cyberjaya. Station jugak tu!But still the best gift of all that Johnny, Buddy and I can give you will be making his/her debut in October.. So Titi Rara have to be patient for that.. I just have to say YOU are one of the best aunts that my kids can ever have. Even if you DO teach my "buddy" to sing Ice-Ice Baby.. We are grateful to have you in our lives.. Anyways, I hope
Market bags.. 2007-07-18 22:55:00 Okayyy... so for those of you gals.. or guys out there who just happen to be a loyal reader of InStyle magazine will definitely find this pretty hilarious.. This is the LATEST "Market
Bag" by Jaye Hersh. Apparently these bags are sold at $85-$100, monogramming from $20. $35 of each sale goes to the International Rescue Committee.. (which is great by the way).. And these bags are used by the likes of Hollywood A-list Celebrities.. Vanessa Minnillo and the like... What I find hilarious is, how these international upcoming designers can make so much out of our "pasar malam"(night market) bags! You don't have to be a Vanessa Minnillo wannabe to own this bag.. just go down to Gaya Street (if you're in KK) and Petaling Street or any other "pasar malam" in KL to get this.. You can get them big for less than RM10 I think. No need to spend USD100 for these bags.I'm sorry peepz.. you might disagree with me but I just find this utterly ridiculous..
I'm back!! 2007-07-18 22:13:00 I've been really feeling under the weather lately.. Well, actually that's an understatement. I've been really sick.. and having a fever, cough, allergies, runny nose, headaches, backaches.. The whole works!! And when I got better, the internet was so haywire.. I don't know what happened and only yesterday was I finally able to get things back in line.. or online. Anyways, I hope to get back and see what's up with all my readers and fellow bloggers.. Loves ya!!
Oh my! Oh my! 2007-07-06 08:35:00 Nicole Richie pregnant?? *sigh* I feel sorry for the baby already.. Okay that might seem a little mean for an expectant mother to comment about another expectant mother.. but.. *sigh* these people are just not normal! Sure the kid will grow up to be rich and have all the other things in the world that other parents can't afford for THEIR kids.. but parents like Nicole Richie and Joel Madden. Look at Britney Spears.. her parents are as close to normal as you and I.. look how SHE turned out.. Okay okay.. *exhale* negative energy out *breathe in* positive CHI back in to my body... *smiles* I'm all better now!!
Harry Potter anyone???? 2007-07-05 23:41:00 Okay.. So, I am anxiously waiting for the release of HarryPotter
and The Order Of The Phoenix.. Yeah yeah yeah.. Call me pathetic or whatever, but don't act as if you guys have never watched a single installment of the movie at all! Pfffttttt~~ Anyways, getting back on track, I am under a current dilemma.. I have no one to watch it with. I usually go with my younger sister. However, this year, her class is going on this "field trip" to watch the movie when it premieres.. and that leaves me with... ME! *gasp* I can't watch it alone.. and I can't bring my son either.. I know he's gonna get fidgety and all.. after all, it's not like we're gonna watch Transformers.. (he soooo loved it by the way..) So, anyone wanna watch it with me, just give buzz me anytime, k?? *sigh*
Scorching hot.. 2007-07-05 10:37:00 Am I the only one feeling this heat or what?? I tell you (if you didn't know already, that is..) the weather in KK is just too too hot.. I think for every 20 seconds in the heat, I become a shade darker, seriously!!Okay, like today.. after doing the usual house chores and what not, i decided a little too late to change my bedsheets. This was like sometime around noon. So i changed my bedsheets and dumped the old ones in the washing machine.. Round and round it went.. until "kaching" (okay, my washing machine doesn't ring.. but then again, you get the point, right?) the sheets were done.. this was around 2pm. So i hung 'em out to dry.. under the terrible HOT and HUMID weather.. with a wet pillowcase on my head (to protect myself from sunstroke) and guess what?? By 4.30pm, everything was D-R-Y~!! Well, it is a good thing when it comes to laundry.. at least I don't have to worry about going out and the possibility of it raining and nobody's at home to pick up my clothes from the line
Thank you.. 2007-07-04 01:59:00 I would like to thank :The Ferrari team.. Raikkonen and Massa.. For giving me a great start to my weekend.. FINALLY, a 1 2 finish... there's hope yet!! Also, the ever cool Transformers... I finally got to watch it on MONDAY.. and i am UTTERLY speechless at how cool the movie turned out... Thank
you Micheal Bay! I could watch this movie over AND over AND over again.. they need to do a sequel! I SO LOVES!!I would also like to thank the people who created the latest technology in sonograms and detailed ultrasounds.. It's so amazing how I managed to be able to see ALL of my baby's vital organs in detail.. and Alhamdulillah.. everything is going well! And no.. i'm not telling what the sex of the baby is in MY blog.. because my hubby doesn't want to know yet.. So for those of you who know.. don't blab it out to the husband, okay?? Desperate Housewives.. For giving me my Tuesday dose of entertainment.. Yeah, i do not download off the internet.. :) And finally, Grey's Anatomy.. For TO
No more bad hair days.. 2007-06-23 12:30:00 For most of you who don't know, my 3 year old son has really curly hair. Lately, it has been pretty unruly and my mom has been pestering me to cut his hair. It's really getting on my nerves too. But I had to wait for his Daddy to come back from KL, so that both of us can have a hand in cutting it. And no, sending my son to a barber will just create a havoc that we both will regret. :) BEFORE Haha.. Doesn't he just look adorable.. I couldn't stand it, you know, when people come up to me and say, awww.. isn't she cute.. Then ask me again, "He/She ah? " Okay. I'll let all of you single/unmarried people out there on a little clue. Please LOOK at the clothes that the child is wearing. It WILL give you a hint. And the shoes. I dress my son as boyish-ly as possible to deter people from asking me this question.. but I still get it all the time. WHY?? Ok, let's blame it on the hair.. So, mommy does a chop chop chop... and let's look at him now... AFTER So, what do you guys think? Yeah,
My day with fun clay 2007-06-18 23:12:00 Yesterday, while going out to buy some stuff for my kid sister's school project, my son suddenly saw this Ferrari model car he wanted so bad. Seeing as how "dry" my purse was, I had to steer him away to the cheapest item I saw. Fun clay or what we familiarly call plastesin. I was telling my son just how much fun we'll have making all sorts of shapes.. dinosaurs and all other cool stuff. Luckily for me, my son was easily dissuaded from the Ferrari car... THIS time. *phew* So as we got home, he immediately asked me to produce all the said things that I promised him in the store. So i started off trying to make a dinosaur, which ended up looking like a turtle.. Anyone who knows me well, just absolutely knows I have nil talent for these creative things. I can't draw, paint, or decently colour a kids colouring book. Haha. But soon I got the hang of it.. I soon moved on to snakes, a snail, a pig.. until he suddenly asked for the impossible.. MAKE ME DADDY!! Okayyy.. hold on there. I bet
Miss you daddy.. 2007-06-12 11:43:00 It was June 13th 2001 when we received the call that you had left us forever.. I can never forget the feeling.. I was shocked. I was numb. I was filled with grief. It's been 6 years today.. since that fateful afternoon. At this moment, when I think back to it, I'm glad you had the foresight to put me in the same college with Kak Syura. Conicidentally, that day, we shared a class together. How ironic.. But I am forever grateful that we had each other to share our grief and support each other.. for I wouldn't know what I'd do if I was alone. We are still missing you today.. even though the years have passed. I can still feel your presence as if it were yesterday. Years have gone by yet the imprint of you still sticks with us and we love you and miss you more and more each day.I will never forget the sight of you giving me your trademark thumbs up as you drove away to the airport that Sunday. You were on your way back to KK and dropped by to see us. I'm glad you did. You passed away
Bye-bye Dr. Burke.. 2007-06-12 04:59:00 Apparently, because of the gay slurs spouted by actor Isaiah Washington towards co-star TR Knight on the set of Grey's Anatomy prompted the shows' producers to cut him off the show.. So there will be no more Dr. Burke
in the upcoming season 3 of Grey's Anatomy. Boohoo!! I kinda liked Dr. Burke.. Actress Katherine Heigl was also one of the most vocal of all the co-stars and criticised him openly. Yet, Isaiah Washington has been remorseful and apologetic following the incident and has since attended anger management courses. Hmmm.. gonna miss him! But it's okay.. there's always McDreamy and McSteamy and the hot Dr. Alex Karev anyway, right??
Rookie of the Year.. 2007-06-10 13:53:00 As the winner of the Canadian F1 GP 2007, I say, he is amazing and extremely talented. Although I'm a Ferrari fan (and pretty much disappointed at Massa's outcome -- or lack thereof), I say hat's off to "Hammy"!! After making his debut, he has really proved himself a very very talented driver and I really hope he kicks Alonso's a$$.. Doesn't matter if he doesn't win the Driver's Championship this year, I say this season belongs to him. It's far from over.. but he has done the team proud.. Ron Dennis was absolutely right to handpick him when he was 14.. Amazing! But if he DOES win.. then he will prove those people (namely, Alonso) who says "he has a loooooooonnnnnnnggg way to go to win a driver's championship", wrong. What more can I say?? Well done and congratulations to Louis Hamilton! Superb~~!! Read more:Rookie
Comfort food... 2007-06-09 02:52:00 At last I found a place to get my choc fix here in KK.. I'm not saying it's astounding and amazing, but it get's the job done. If you guys have any recommendations, lemme know. But so far, I really don't mind going for my Fish and Co's Hot Fudge Chocolate Cake. Yum-O!! It's still a far cry from TGI's Chocolate Malta Cake, but I guess in KK, this is what I have to settle for at the moment..
Bad drivers in KK??? 2007-06-08 10:51:00 At the risk of sounding like a "DIVA", I just wonder WHY OH WHY, do people drive badly?? This is the second time I've blogged about bad drivers in KK.. The first one was waaayy back when I was blogging in Friendster.. Or is it that THESE incidents only happen to me??So anyways, for those living in KK.. there's this zebra crossing from Waterfront that crosses all the way to Warisan Square. There's two sections. First section is when you reach the island, and the next section goes all the way to Warisan Square (that is, if you come from Waterfront). So, we (mom, sis and my son), decided to park at Waterfront since the traffic police did the "sensible" thing of blocking the entrance to the Centre Point-Warisan parking area. That left us the choice of parking at Waterfront see? So as we continued down the zebra crossing, halfway through -- I might add, cars were still zooming past us as if there isn't a law in the world that says STOP AND GIVE WAY TO PEDESTRIANS.I was freaked out of my
Syura "ESP"n-ed me the durians!! 2007-06-07 06:32:00 OMG!! Just a few days ago, on Tuesday to be precise, I had this craving for durians.. YUP! I LOVE 'EM!( Don't you people go "ewww"-ing me.. 'Coz I would totally "EWWW" you when you people drink milk!) So there. Anyways.. I was soooo totally thinking that SYURA had to put durian on her gratitude list.. and when I checked out her new blog post, there it was at #31!! For those of you who don't get head or tail at what I'm getting at, you guys can check out Syura's blog.. "Petty Ramblings of a Petty Queen".The thing with Syura is.. She has this ability to "share" things with me just based on her ESP (or ESPN as we bimbo-jokingly say). I can't believe it.. My husband bought me a couple of durians when we passed the durian stall, 'coz I told him I totally needed to eat some. So while we were eating 'em, my mom was like.. Syura should be here with us.. She really loves durian. Just like her father. Then I said, "It's okay.. I'll take some pics and blog about it and she'll k

Fred the "Monster Pig" 2007-06-03 01:57:00 I'm sure most of you have heard about the "Monster
Pig" by now, right??? But finally, it makes sense now that the so-called "Monster Pig" was actually a farm-raised "hog/pig" named Fred.. Apparently, the Fred's owners had sold him off because they wanted to get rid of all their pigs. It was sold to the Lost Creek Plantation just 4 days BEFORE Jamison Stone and his father killed it in a 3 hour chase. That was the thing that really boggled my mind in the first place. IF i was the pig (that looked like some creature reared for torture in LOTR), I would have chased that father and son and pull a "LOST" on them so fast before they can say "pek!" Hahahaha..I was discussing it with Syura, and we thought they found it already DEAD, shot it, then claimed they hunted it down. A pig that size, I thought it might have died of a cardiac arrest. But since it was in fact farm-raised, and not even close to wild in any manner, then it DOES make a little sense that it was the one RUNNING AWAY instead
Dinner@Shang's Palace 2007-06-01 10:26:00 Last night my family and I had a pretty good time at dinner. My brother and sis-in-law were very gracious to bring me and the rest of the family to Shang's Palace
, the Chinese restaurant at Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Beach Resort. My mom had wanted to go to have steamboat for dinner instead.. but NO CAN DO.. After all, before they could satisfy their cravings, they have to satisfy the pregnant lady's craving first.Hehehe.. Well, it wasn't like that. But I don't know who told them that I had a craving for PEKING DUCK.. I've been having that craving since I saw Anthony Bourdain's No Reservation!! All Syura's fault! And that was in March!! And FINALLY, after all that time, I FULFILLED MY WISH.. But it seems like the duck was pretty scrawny right?? Well it didn't TASTE scrawny at all! SOOOO DELISH!!! MY DELISH PEKING DUCK! But one thing I was really glad about, was the restaurant's service.. Everyone was friendly and accomodating.. Actually, when we arrived there, my son was already Read more:Dinner
A totally different ballgame... 2007-05-31 05:25:00 I really don't mean any offense towards all the Malaysian Manchester United supporters out there.. But come on 'lah'.. no need to boo-hoo over them not being able to play in Malaysia in July. They've played here what, 3 or 4 times already?? What to do if the AFC and FIFA say no?? Just shut up about it already.. I can't stand anymore of the whining!! GOSH!On the other hand... we can all have a change of scenery from this particular sport to another totallydifferent
ballgame.. none other thanROGER FEDERERVS.PETE SAMPRASNow I say THIS is the match that we all should be anticipating at the end of the year.. Man U is great and all but... overexposed all the same. Can't wait to see THESE guys in action!!
Sleep deprived~! 2007-05-24 22:36:00 Hey peepz!! It's me again.. I just need some tips here if you guys can help...I am sooooooo sleep deprived. I'm an 8 hour kinda gal.. and now.. I'm getting barely 4 hours of sleep. I'm sleepy, but I'm not relaxed.. I keep tossing and turning the whole night. Any tips??? I am in need of my sleep!Don't bother asking me to try sleeping pills.. after all, I am pregnant.. is it because of that?? And this is... American Idol.. 2007-05-24 11:16:00 Admittedly, Sparky is the better singer.. but I just couldn't stand her! What was it that Simon said in the first few rounds before the final 12??? Too sugary sweet?? Yeah.. that's it! PLUS, she looked so confident that she would win (have to blame Randy and Simon for that!) that I really COULDN'T stand it!!! Poor Blake. He saw it coming. She saw it coming too.. But I could bet you my pinky finger she wouldn't have that same look on her face had it been Melinda Doolittle singer there with her at the finals.. Whatever it is.. Melinda is still my Idol.. Unbelievable singer, down-to-earth.. and not a total smarty pants.. UNlike that certain 17-year-old who looks like she has something to say when the judges give her MILD criticism.. Thank God for the American
Idol theme song cue that shuts her up! I dowanna sound like a HATER u guys.. I still think that yeah, compared to Blake, Jordin was the obvious winner.. ALTHOUGH, I would have preferred to see her battle it out with Melinda in Read more:American Idol
Making a comeback.. 2007-05-24 06:19:00 FINALLY! And I really mean FINALLY! After all this time that my connection and router has been down.. I've finally gained access to the net! Well, there are definitely stories that need to be told and shared with the rest of the world.. but they're coming to me one by one in such a rush that I can't even begin to think which one I should start with.. Have any of you ever thought about something to say, and when you're about to say it, you remember something else connected to what you were ABOUT to say, and then you also wanna say THAT and THAT also reminds you of something ELSE.. AND.. you end up not saying anything.. it's overwhelming.. Really, it is.. Anyways, enough of my rambles and jambles.. I have definitely decided that this is my blogging home.. no more blogging in Friendster... although I will update it and just link it here.. I think opening my Friendster account is just too much of a hassle.. and too many fake pretenses.. Basically, I just wanted to say "Yeah, I'm back Read more:comeback

Family Outing 2007-07-30 08:27:00 Yesterday, the hubby was scheduled to go back to KL in the evening so we took the opportunity of the nice weather to have a family outing.. where else in KK to bring THE KID if not to the Lok Kawi Wildlife Park!Actually we wanted to go in the morning, right after breakfast but had to wait for my mom, younger sis and her friend (who slept over). After alot of dilly dallying, we finally were out the house to head for the park at 1pm..Yeah.. I know I said after breakfast. But it ended up being brunch. *sigh*ANYWAYS, it was our first time to the park.. We only had to pay RM20 for entrance fee. RM10 for each adult. Kids are free. I think.. or maybe kids under a certain age.. I don't know. All I know is that my son wasn't charged for admittance.Buddy was so excited to be there. So he and daddy went ahead.. running. Haha. I just took my own sweet time... feeling sooooo "Zoo Tycoon"-ish. Well, for those who play the game, you'll understand.Well, here are some pics that I took during our vis Read more:Family

Ban Gwen Stefani's Concert? 2007-08-02 03:09:00 Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia should pull the plug on the Kuala Lumpur leg of US Singer Gwen Steefani's upcoming Asian tour because of her indecent dressing and obscenity, a Muslim students' group said on Tuesday. The 10,000-strong National Union of Malaysian Muslim Students said Stefani
's August 21st concert, which is part of her "Sweet Escape" tour, would clash with local Asian and Islamic values."Her video clips promoting the event are too obscene," Mohamad Hilmi Ramli, the group's president, told Reuters. "We want the organisers to cancel the concert, failing which we will ask the authorities to intervene."Ethnic Malays, who are by definition Muslims, make up just over half of Malaysia's 26 million people. Ethnic Chinese and Indians who are mostly Buddhists, Christians or Hindus, form sizeable minorities.Hilmi also criticised Malaysian mobile phone firm Maxis Communications for promoting the concert."Maxis has been staging a series of foreign acts... to make a profit and to expose our Read more:Concert
Our very own Borneo Orchid 2007-08-01 22:08:00 I know there's lots of hoo-haa going on about the Borneo
Orchid show at Tanjung Aru.. Can't remember the date, though.. Mom is planning on going I think with her "gardening gang".. Usually she'll bring me to tag along. I still don't know whether I wanna go or not.Anyways, after YEARS AND YEARS of trying to "piara" or care for this particular orchid, my mom never got it to bloom. So she got fed up of trying and just really let it be. Suddenly while getting into the car, we caught a glimpse of colour near the garage.. And there it was.. blooming in all its wonder!I'm not really into gardening but this pretty orchid really makes me feel all nice and happy. :D Maybe I should pick up this "gardening thing" soon. :)
Car dummy 2007-08-01 11:00:00 Honestly, I'm a dummy when it comes to cars. Or driving. Yup, that's true. I don't own a car... because I can't drive to begin with. WHY? Because.I think for my next birthday someone can buy me a "Driving for Dummies" book.. and I will treasure it forever. Haha. I do feel the need to learn how to drive and one day own my own car.. but I don't see that happening in the near future, though. It's not only driving. I don't know crap about cars, either. Syura or my brother will talk about cars and I'll just listen like... *dazed*... I don't know the mechanics of the car.. and yes, when it comes to purchasing a car (like what most of my friends are talking about nowadays), I can't even discuss insurance coverage for cars or where to get better car insurance rates. I am really totally alien when it comes to all this. But then again, one can just check out insurance quotes online, can't they?Well, whatever it is, at least for the time being, I still don't have to worry too much abou
