Now imagine having to wait 10-15 minutes for a taxi somewhere alone with nothing to do, would you use this time to play a game? Most people would answer "yes" because there isn't much else they could do with that time anyway.Now count all of the people you know that have a PC powerful enough to play recent games, all of the people you know that own a console and add them up. Compare them to all of the people you know that own a cell phone or better yet try to find someone you know that doesn't. I hope that now you've realized the reach and extent of this new market. Of course the idea is nice but the games are hardly comparable both in graphics and gameplay.The story of the game is that of the struggle between lord Cain and his pet dragon against an evil Empire, know as, well .. "the Empire". Phone games aren't much on story anyway, especially platform arcade ones.The graphics are about what you would expect from a platform action game, the only real complaint here for me is that the backgrounds are very repetitive and lack diversification in an area, for instance the whole "Silent Forest" area is just green grass with rocky background, no trees, no bushes, nothing.From a control point of view the game is medium to hard to control because of the different keys it uses, practically using every key on your keypad at some point and so it's hard to combine all of them.A nice feature of the game is that it alternates land battles using Cain with aerial battles using the dragon, so while on land it's
Burning Tires 3D 2007-05-23 11:32:00 It's 3D and it's a racing game! That alone would make a lot of people buy it. However I should advise you not to get overwhelmed by your instinct in this case. The game lacks a lot in comparison to other mobile racing games.The 3D engine is nice and looks ok, not great, just ok, all of the cars and the tracks are seriously unrealistic which makes us put this game in the arcade category. There isn't a lot of variety when it comes to environments though, just 3 types are present: desert, lava and ice.The cars are varied enough not to get bored of the game immediately. You start with one car and need to unlock the others as well as a few extra game modes. However the controls of the car are horrible! Strip Club Manager 2007-05-25 09:59:00 This little mobile game puts you in the role of a manager owning your own fancy (or not so fancy) strip club. The game actually features 3 clubs, 2 of them locked, which you have to manage one after the other: Eden's Paradise, The Fantasy and Pink Kitten.The objective of the game is of course to make money, while also keeping your customers happy, since general customer satisfaction is what enables you to buy better furniture or dancing poles or anything else you think your club might need. There's also the possibility to hire a dj and a bodyguard, along with one of the 6 featured girls, each of them appealing to a different kind of costumer and dancing in their own way on their distinct music track. It's nice that the game has this "match-up the girl with the customer" part because it keeps your interest going to see how each girl dances and on what music. Rollercoaster Rush 3d 2007-05-29 11:37:00 A very addictive little game, a lot of fun too. I can say that I've played it for hours today and hardly even realized that so much time passed by. The goal of the game is simple enough, you only use two keys to control the coaster, one is to accelerate and the other to brake. You need to give the coasters passengers the ride of their lives through the track, while making sure that they keep their lives as well, since a few wrong moves, too much speed or a wrongly calculated angle can lead to the cars of the coaster crashing and your beloved passengers dying (well not really, they fall off the track and open their parachutes).While playing the game your performance is ranked by the amount of thrill you give your passengers, and of course the more are left standing the more points you get since you make more people scream with joy. A turn based strategy that has a lot to offer.The first thing to note is that just like in HoMM your army is led by a hero who can level up and cast spells during combat. The hero's name is Ortega, he's a famous retired necromancer who is asked for help by a group of gnomes against the evil undead that are beginning to plague the land. Which seems a little odd since necromancers are supposed to make undead armies, not fight against them, but oh well, I guess they chose necromancer because it sounds cool and because of the old saying "fight fire with fire".The game features a map where you can move your hero in order to fight the evil undead armies or in case you spot human troops when you move towards them you can recruit them.
