The Nasty Green Thing on My Kitchen Shelf 2007-05-17 17:12:47
We had been eating out on so many nights for the pass few weeks. I had been coming home late from work and got home so exhausted; I couldn’t detour my mind from thinking about what to wear tomorrow jumping into bed with my work clothes on and just doze off to sleep!
Today while fixing ourselves a pitcher of cold drink, I saw a glimpse of something mysterious lurking among my groceries on the kitchen shelf. As I peered closer, I saw it was about four inches long, green in color and unmistakably ALIVE!!!!!
I leaped back. Poised in my Jackie Chan karate fighting stance; I clenched my fists hard; gritted my teeth and glare at The GreenThing
. My heart was pounding hard! At any time it could pounce on me, that Nasty Green Thing!
I gulped hard. Something needed to be done immediately. I must eliminate this Nasty Green Thing before it ventures out of the kitchen into the other rooms in the house. God knows once it reached one of those rooms there was no way even a professional eliminato Read more:Kitchen

From Starbucks to Kinrara 2007-05-15 17:42:51 Today is diyanazman.com’s four months birthday. So young it is; like an infant just beginning to grow baby teeth and like a Proton beginning to get stuck at its all four power windows.
Though we seem new, Azman and I have begun blogging a long time before. The first blog entry I wrote was in a Blogspot in September 2004. I can remember vividly how we were still dating back then. So often we go out to Starbucks
, not only to devour the intoxicating lattes but to relish on the free wireless broadband; because Azman and I incase you have not noticed are extremely sexy boring geeks and there is nothing we love better than to spend long intimate time together while watching our computers grow obsolete before our very eyes.
I almost cannot believe how awesome I was when I started blogging. Entries in September 2004 were written at great length and with exceptional flair of writing. For someone as indolent as me to write so many entries in just one month is also amazing. I wrote exactly TWO

Win, Lose & Draw ..Manchester United Is Champion Again ! 2007-05-08 11:56:58
This week has been a really interesting week for all Manchester United
fans. 3 different result gives all what Manchester United
really want !!! Lose…Win..& Draw…
Lose :
First, they have been thrown out from Champions League after losing to AC Milan 0-3 at San Siro. This happens right after a superb comeback at Old Trafford by winning 3-2 just a week before that.
Win :
Then, on the weekend, they struggle to beat their closest neighbor 0-1 in Manchester derby match. And finally…
Draw :
Arsenal holds Chelsea 1-1 giving Manchester United their 9th championship in 15 seasons!
During the start of 2006/2007 season, Manchester United seems cautious to sign new players in strengthening the squad. My confidence in Manchester United battling for the title this year fades once Chelsea signs Ballack & Shevchenko while the only player Manchester United managed to get is Michael Carrick. At the same time, Manchester United also seems to be losing Cristiano Ronaldo to Barcel Read more:Again
Was just kidding about the stripy hair 2007-05-06 17:51:40
For as long as I could remember I had always hate brushing my hair. As a child,if my mom or my aunt or my grandmother wouldnt spend some time brushing them, I could live with frizzy messy tangles forever and ever. I guessed that’s the reason why I was never a pretty little girl with braids or ponytails throughout my childhood.
It was either my mom or my aunt who took care of me when I was a kid, kept my hair cropped as short as a boy’s because I had no interest what so ever in keeping my hair neat, and I especially hate brushing my own hair.
“You better comb your hair Diyana! Some days when you are all grown up, you will regret having hideous hair just because I never comb it when you were young!”
I was advised on the value of beautiful hair more than the importance of doing my Maths homework. And I never did my Maths homework. Back then in the late 80’s moms didnt know how the rebonding technic coul

Last week i was quite busy with a test run at CTV line. I was looking forward for a new value analysis design and this test run was just to give me time and idea before I come out with a new project. It was Saturday..and normally..if I had to work on Saturday, it was going to be the most unproductive day of all times!! but unfortunately that day was different..I had a lot of things to do…siigghhh..
I arrived at Sony at 7.50am..and after that..went straight to CTV line that was located in a different plant. The test run supposedly started at 7am and I promised to my boss that I was going to come to work at 6am..!! so,practically I was late for about 2 hours!!..hahahaha..
Everybody kept blaming me throughout the day because of that…some claimed that their production schedule had to be revised for the whole month…and some complaint because they’re late for breakfast !!…come on…it’s Saturday !!!..I dont know how to work on a Saturday! Since
Apple juice are costly these days 2007-05-22 11:59:04
We went to Giant in Bandar Puteri Puchong this evening to purchase apple juice. The hypermarket is relatively huge but we have been there a hundred times, and yet we still lose our way among the many aisles.
This is a confession that I am writing here, please keep it between us okay? Azman and I get disoriented in Giant all the time…Shhh….
We can’t seem to head straight to the chill zone no matter how hard we try. Its our legs… They are possessed!! The demon influenced them to never cooperate with us.
I feel sorry for my hubby, Azman tried so hard to hinder his legs from skipping to the electronics section and then to the gardening section and the tools section. But his possessed legs; they later influenced his hands to pick up extension wire, a flower pot and God-knows-for-what hammer and throw them into our shopping cart.
Oh, he didn’t mean it. I know he didn’t. In fact I know exactly how he feels. Cause I feel it too. It wasn’t me who took us to the toiletries secti Read more:Apple

Tips on Ceiling Fans 2007-04-30 23:28:07
The invention of air conditioner for home has changed the usage of ceiling fans. From merely reducing the temperature to as one of your house decoration. So, it’s always a good idea to install ceiling fans in your home. Furthermore, advances in ceiling fans technology over the past 10 years have expanded their money saving benefits by almost 40% compared with air conditioner.
Below are the benefits of ceiling fans that I can think of,
1. Reduced Electricity Bills – Ceiling
fans are certainly lighter on the pocket than using air-conditioners.
2. Space-Saving – Instead of having to allocate floor or wall space for air-conditioners or electric box fans, why not take advantage of seldom-used ceilings by having ceiling fans installed? With ceiling fans, you get to have more space to use for other furniture in the room.
3. Practically Beautiful – While no one can certainly dispute the usefulness of ceiling fans, an equally significant benefit of using ceiling fans is how its appear

Malaysians have always been known for our good manners, politeness in communication and our delicate choice of words in speech.
Over the weekend I have met a few friends, aunts and cousins that I have not seen in a long time. They all have the same sentiment over me.
"Diyana, look at you! You are so much fatter!"
This is another perfect example of how Malaysians thoughtfully rephrase their thought in order not to hurt one's feeling.
Oh,please! It is so obviouse that they are actually describing my exact resemblance with Rihanna Under My Umbrella… ella..ella..ella.. eh! eh! eh!
But of course Malaysians wouldn't say such a thing! It is not polite in this country to voice out my similarities with that ultimate babelicious bombshell with legs that go on forever and a body simply to die for! Not to mention the chic bob hair cut and the curves all at the right places because Rihanna is never dressed modestly. She is VERY sexy and clearly not a good role model!
Tsk tsk tsk!

Next week my colleague has to go to Tijuana Mexico for a rework. Since I’ve been there a couple of time, he came to me for some advice regarding his trip. I considered him lucky because he will go there with another 3 members, not like me that travel alone during the first time I’ve been there. His request actually reminds me of the story of the first time I’ve visited San Diego, California & Baja Tijuana, Mexico.
My first visit was on 30 May 2004 for technical meeting. First, I had to go to TV Design Dept in San Diego for introduction presentation and after that to Tijuana, Mexico for test run. It’s a really busy 1 week trip for me.
My first story was when I was at Los Angeles International Airport. Once I’ve arrived in LA at Tom Bradley International Terminal ( near Terminal 3 & 4 ), I had to take a flight to San Diego at domestic terminal ( Terminal 7 ). The aeroplane was really small. To go to the terminal, I need to take a shuttle bus. I was not sure which one Read more:Travel

:: AdSense :: Journey to AdSense WebmasterWorld 2007-06-04 09:12:37
I’ve been developing my own website since 1996. It’s actually a plain first generation Manchester United website called United We Stand. During that time, my website got an average 200 visits per day. Then, I developed another website called 100% Dragonball Mutiara Naga. This website also got an average 200 visits per day. However, around year 2000, I just stop taking care and updating those websites and since that, I’m losing almost all my visitors.
At the end of last year, I met my friend Sulaiman aka Offshoreman at a mamak stall and he talked fancy about his earning from the internet. He has plenty of websites and his earning mostly came from Google Adsense program. It’s hard to believe that he is gaining 4 digits profit from that program that actually been introduced to him by ME! Since that, I start thinking, if AdSense had been available in 1999, I would have NEVER shut down my Manutd & Dragonball fan site that received a combined 400 hits per day. I would have bee Read more:Journey
We came this close to having twins! Phew!! 2007-06-10 13:08:24
Ladies and gentlemen, to the many-many people that have been asking Diyanazman the no.1 frequently asked question, I am now ready to answer. First I want to thank you for your utmost concern. I am now 8 weeks pregnant. You may now send me the 9 month supply of folic acid and Anmum, I know you were dying to give me these presents because you have been asking about the progress of my ovum and Azman’s sperms a thousand times since the moment we touched down from our honeymoon in Bali last year. Janganlah malu-malu, hantarkan saja hadiah-hadiah tersebut ye?
Azman and I planned to conceive our first baby after we have had our mountain climbing adventure because pregnant women don’t climb mountains duh! unless they want to their kids to grow up and become a sherpa. Ever since we bought the hotel and flight tickets to Kota Kinabalu in April, every month I anxiously wait for my period because a skipped one would mean our baby will be doomed to be born to a non mountain-climber parents a
How to display different number of entries in Wordpress front page and archives 2007-05-21 08:49:44
Do you realize that my Wordpress
blog displays 3 entries on the front page and 10 entries in archives and categories?
By default, WordPress displays a same number of entries on the front page and this setting also applies to archives and categories.
Here is how I do it;
Open your index.php file, found in your theme folder ( /wp-content/themes/themes_name/ ) folder and look for lines 5 and 7.
They should appear something like this:
<?php if (have_posts()) : ?>
<?php while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>
Replace those lines with this code:
<?php $custom_loopcount = 0; ?>
<?php if (have_posts()) : while ((have_posts()) && ($custom_loopcount < 3)) : the_post(); ?>
<?php if (is_home()) $custom_loopcount++; ?>
What we’re doing here is changing Wordpress Loop by telling the script that when viewing the Front page, show 3 posts. ( You can see on second line there is number 3 )
However, when viewing archives or categories, Wordpress Loop will fol Read more:different
The idiot who wannabe a Tamil hero! 2007-06-18 11:48:20
Last Friday, Diyana was sick and was on MC. We usually car pool to work but since I had to go to work alone that day, I decided to drive my old Proton Wira and left the automatic car with Diyana. I was already late so I rushed to my car…heat up the engine and drive! However, the car felt so heavy and its sound was terrible…kepeh kepeh ( sound effect from Nize ). My first thought was that..it had engine problem because the car had not been used for the past one week!
So I stopped my car.. looked around and thats when I realized that the most terrible things had happened to my car. The tyres were punctured! Not one or two, but all four tyres are flat! Deffinately a foul play!
Too bad I didn’t have much time to investigate; I just parked my car by the road side then ran back to my house to take the other car to work! Along the way to Bandar Baru Bangi, I just could’t stop swearing throughout the whole 45minutes!!!
After Friday prayer, I requested for a half day leave. Went to G Read more:wannabe

At least there is no tar in my fart! 2007-06-24 11:47:59
Was in the big boss’ office discussing a multi million project. 4 out of 7 people there was devouring cancer sticks puff puff puff none stop one stick after another. The room was not exactly big and of course air-conditioned.
I saw the smoke from their cigarettes and those gushing out from their mouths and noses formed huge evil skulls with fiery red eyes in the mid air before disappearing. My face turned red then blue then purple. With every breath that I took, I could feel exactly how so many of the alveolus in my lung shriveled and turned into gooey green poisonous mass forever.
Fifteen minutes through my colleagues were already noticing how close to dying I was but they too cant say a word because after all one of the smokers, a lady pushing forty, so disgustingly obese and so horribly arrogant was the biggest boss we need to please.
Yes, I had the urge to pounce onto them and slap their faces one thousand times each and yell into their ears YOU ARE SUFFOCATING ME before I cho Read more:least
Attack of the Ferocious Eating Monster - Me! 2007-07-04 11:51:54
I have never felt so hungry in my whole life the way I have been feeling hungry for the past couple of months. In every breath that I take, I every step that I make, in every gossip I pass around, in every Google search I type; I think food.
I try hard to understand my new body, the one that acts so amazingly mysterious and unpredictable.
Every night, I would wake up 3 or 4 times simple because my tummy was yelling fill me up, im freaking empty! Then I think of me with Afdlin Shauki’s body with boobs, and force myself back to slumberland. In my sleep id dream of Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory, and how I would lay on the candy grass, surrounded by my most favorite things in the world, FOOD! Other times I would dream of Ramadan Buffet and how I will go round and round the table to enjoy the splendid delicacies. Every night I dream of food and even when I take a nap on the afternoons too.
Nowadays, I would need to take seven to eight meals just to stay alive. A delay in consuming Read more:Monster
Because of Pepahat, I forgive you Bani 2007-07-08 11:51:04
Our friend Bani is a pain in the ass. One fine day in late May 2007 he launched a mouth watering story of his dining experience in a sea side restaurant in Bagan Lalang, Sepang, Selangor. Bani, all knowingly that the Big Fat Ferocious Eating Monster will drool and dream of seafood that night, had purposely described the varieties of fish, crabs, clams and prawns that were available there at very cheap price.
Bagan Lalang is a place unknown to us. So I persuade Bani to take us there. He said okay, let us all go at the end of the following month!! So late! A food-crazed expecting mother cant wait that long! But Bani gave 1001 reason why we had to wait until end of June. Actually it was only one reason “I am Bani! And I am mean!” only he repeated it 1001 times.
Couple of days before we were set to go Bani changed his mind. He said Bagan Lalang is too far away, and suggested that we purchase fresh sea food from the market and bbq them ourselves. Bani the super genius said that it wo Read more:forgive
Say no more, Malaysia has been humiliated in the Asia Cup (Again..and again..) 2007-07-11 01:51:07
As expected, Malaysia
have lost to China in Asia
Cup Group stage. However, to be humiliated 1-5 in Malaysia home soil is a total disgrace.
To make it even worse, Malaysian players seem to enjoy the result and didn’t feel any embarrassment whatsoever. Just after the match, they were clapping their hands and chatting to each others just like nothing had happen.
After the match while reading the list of Malaysian players, my friend, Cok Man realized that something is wrong with Malaysia player selection.
First team players featuring ;
3 players from Selangor , 3 players from Pahang , and 1 player each from NS Naza, Perak, Perlis, TMM & MyTeam.
The weird thing about the player selection is there were no player from the current Malaysian top club, Kedah. Kedah is currently sharing top spot with Perak in Malaysia Super League and recently, they have beaten Perlis in FA Cup Final to be crowned as FA Cup Champion!!. Even Perak & Perlis only have 1 representative in Malaysia squad.
Vietnam..the land of honk! honk!! 2007-07-19 10:40:14
Last week I had a meeting at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
. This is my 3rd visits to Vietnam. My last visit was about a week before my marriage. This time, I took Malaysia Airlines because I’ve bad memory with Vietnam Airlines during my first travel to Vietnam.
I arrived Tan Son Nhut Airport in Ho Chi Minh City about 4.30pm. The driver was already there waiting to pick me up and drive me to the hotel. His name is Mr. Minh and they pronounce it “Men”.
He then drove me to hotel at Ho Chi Minh City center, Rex Hotel. It’s a nice and beautiful 4 stars hotel.
The hotel was located in front of People’s Committee Hall near Saigon riverside and about 7km from the airport. However, it took almost 40 minutes by car because of too many motorcycles crawling about the streets!!
The best thing about this hotel, they offered free WIFI in every room!! That’s really great because I can get connected with my Diyana for Free every night!
There is not much change about HCM City since my last

In pursuit of Kundang 2007-07-29 10:31:35 It was a typical busy day at the office when my colleague Yani offered me something to munch. And it’s not just an ordinary something but something I’ve never tasted before. She gave me the nastiest brain piercing, tongue numbing, gum tingling, tummy rumbling sour tasting fruit I have ever tasted in my whole life. It’s actually the young unripe Kundang fruit Bouea oppositifolia (Roxb.) Adelb. that was cut into small pieces and dip into salt before you pop into your mouth. One bite and it is sure to make your face squirm with its extreme sourness. I love it!
So when Azman’s parents call to say their orchards in Kedah and Perak are laden with tropical fruits that are pretty costly at the Klang Valley, my heart jumped with joy! Despite having morning sickness and motion sickness everytime I ride in the car, I told Azman that hey we just have to go back and check out the orchards. Seriously I was not looking forward to those juicy rambutans, sweet durians, tasty dokong, langsat,
Extinction of Endangered Species 2007-08-07 04:23:04 At last……the decision has been made!! My fellow DY designer in Sony Corp Japan, Murata-san, has been transferred to LCD TV panel engineering department. It’s a huge blow for him…because his whole life has been dedicated to the development of CRT TV. He has a couple of US pattern registration under his name that makes him untouchable to most of DY designers. Thats how good he is…it will never change the final fate of CRT TV !!….
Then, how about me? Am I going to be the last survival in the history of Sony Trinitron DY designer? Yeah..it should be like that. I don’t know if I should be happy or sad about that. I have been sitting at my desk with nothing to do for almost 6 months now. The only thing that I managed to do is surfing the internet and off course..blogging! …I have no problem with that though.. But since I changed from an active worker to a sluggish one, my weight has increased tremendously to 70kg…I realized that I have to take action as soon as possibl Read more:Endangered Species
I know now that I am home 2007-08-12 11:01:49 Boy oh boy don’t I miss this website a lot? I have been away on a working trip and I just arrived home on Friday evening. It has been a long and exciting tiring eight days of pure work! work! work!
Any nausea and blood vomiting that has occurred last week among this website’s visitors is much regretted. I understand it happened because you guys were too sick and tired of viewing that purple pitted fruit and that disgusting leech sucking a meal outta Azman’s little toe again and again. Please forgive the absence of my crappy rambling, I didn’t have a choice.
I was one of those unlucky thousand chosen by the government to be sent away from our beloved families. It was hard. For me it was just eight days, for some of my friends it was up to three weeks. We were separated from our home sweet home and were ordered to stay at the hotels with beautiful swimming pools by the sandy beach. Oh it was nightmare!! If I knew it was that torturing to devour taxpayers’ money, I would have w
Sad But True !! The Future of Malaysian Football 2007-08-19 01:48:56 Lately, people have been talking about Malaysian
young lads performances in Champions Youth Cup. Unlucky lose to Bayern Munich, lucky draw against Chelsea and unluckily defeated by PSV Eindhoven. In Malaysia standard, they got a really good result although failed to advance to quarter final.
Should we really be happy with the result? Yes we should!!.. However, does it mean that Malaysian football has a bright future?? I don’t think so!! This is not the first time our young squads perform very well in Asia and international level. They have good talent but they will never have a chance to wear our national colors in another 10 years because in Malaysia, there’re simply no places for good young players, not until they have gone old and sluggish enough!
So, what might happen to these young players in the future??? A smart and intelligent player will continue their study in the university.. Others will be sent for trial at European top clubs. But imagine this…they’d be going t Read more:Future

Aftermath of the morning sickness : Part 1 2007-08-21 10:41:40 Before morning sickness :
Until mid April 2007, I was up and about running my energetic butt everywhere! I could run forever on the treadmill before jumping on the gym bike and the later jump into the pool for a cooling dip. I would go hiking in the hills on weekends and not miss my favorite body jam classes on Fridays. I didn’t get tired.
I could drag Azman for hours and hours of non stop walking from store to store in the big wide Midvalley. Right before I decided that perfect tank top is not available here so we need start a fresh new search in big wide long One Utama. I didn’t need to sit down.
I could go for a late night movie that ends at three and then hang out at the Mamak’s till the crack of dawn. I could abuse the karaoke machine with tuneless singing and dancing to Spice Girls all night long. I didn’t lose my breath.
In April I climbed a mountain. In fact I climbed the whole freaking tallest mountain in south east asia! And I didn’t get no altitude sickness, I did Read more:Aftermath

“ Well maybe Mummy can go and get it herself!”
“ Can’t you see I have not a drop of energy! How could you deny our Baby of orange juice? Oh you are so cruel..” sob! sob!
“ Well, if you hadn’t wasted so much energy on talking, you would have some right now for walking to the fridge!”

Giant Bandar Kinrara vs Tesco Puchong 2007-09-01 04:44:51 Last week, Giant Hypermarket opened their 100th branch in Bandar Kinrara, Puchong. It’s situated just less than 1km away from our house. Very near however during its opening day on 23rd August 2007, it took me more than 2 hours to get out from their parking lot to our home!!
Since, Tesco
Puchong is just about 5 km from there; we can assure stiff competition between those 2 hypermarkets.
The first sign for the battle of supremacy is the signboard;
You can see this Tesco Puchong signboard at Bukit Jalil (Sg. Besi/Puchong) highway. It’s trying tell you that Tesco Puchong is just 5.7km away.
After you drive for another 100m, you can see another signboard. This time from Giant Bandar Kinrara. It says why travel 5.6km when theres another hypermarket just a hundred km away…
May you rest in peace, beautiful one… 2007-09-23 01:49:09
To Nurin Jazlin’s family,
While there is nothing that I can say to help you ease your sorrow,
take comfort in the knowledge that there will always be tomorrow.
I can comprehend just how heartrending you must be feeling,
the pain within your heart takes time to start the healing.
Let the memories of the years you’ve shared wash over your heart and soul, let the knowledge that she is in our prayers, help you to console.
Let her spirit fill you with strength and love may it help the pain decrease, as each day that brings a glorious dawn creates an inner peace.
Al- Fatihah…
