The Fever of Traumatic Fear
2007-09-19 12:08:44
I remember not too long ago when I was about 8 or 9 years old, I was watching television with my aunt and there was a musical show airing on RTM. Must be one of those “Hiburan Minggu Ini” shows and one of the artists performing was the renowned M. Daud Kilau. M. Daud Kilau is a veteran artist in this country and there is simply no one who can match up to his inimitability. He always wears his black curls thick and fake looking, plastered to his head. His ward robe is so psychedelic, one need to wear a sun glass when opening his closet else risking the blinding of the eyes due to dazzling effects from all his sequined and beaded outfits, in the brightest hue of all colors of the rainbow. I think that is why M Daud Kilau himself is cross eyed. Until today when he already is a senior citizen, this talented artist with many-many fabulous hit songs will never have the adjective masculine describing him. The most notable uniqueness about him is the way he dance – belly dance! I don’

Just when I ran out of reason to shop
2007-09-17 12:18:12
I have a childhood friend living in the UK and I hate her. Picture this! How could you not hate someone 5 inches taller than you and way skinnier than you and looking absolute hot while she had just given birth few months before? If you are not feeling me, you are a saint and I hate you too! Plus she is a Stay At Home Mom (SAHM) that spend her days with her handsome baby Harith, going shopping all day and painting the town red. Damn I hate you Sharifah Lina! But what drives me nuts the most is the fact that she is an absolutely sweet sugary nice person. Ugh, exactly the kind of girl with ass you’d love to kick out of jealousy but you ended up kissing her couse she’s so kind she makes you feel like Cinderella’s step sister that has just turned over a new leaf! All the way from across the globe she offered to get some terrific bargain of branded baby stuff since have I not mentioned that she is THE shopping expert? With great hair? She is too much la! Lina bought a bun

Ramadhan Magic
2007-09-13 11:28:37
Ramadhan last year was one the most meaningful in my life. I cooked breakfast for the first time. I was Azman’s wife and for the first time I was not just my Mom’s daughter, Melati’s housemate, or Mawi World’s Haters’ Club President (which I still am now). It was a Ramadhan of significance but inarguably it was not one of a challenge. Fasting was still like having 5 thousand bucks in my pocket, walk into Zara and try to refrain myself from NOT buying anything, way too easy. The situation this year is tad different. Significant and memorable? Yes because for the very first time also, I kena buatan orang am carrying the world most precious parasite in my tummy – a baby! I waited for the 1st Ramadhan this year with mixed feeling. I am eager to take the golden opportunity of fasting for 30 days straight, something I have been unable to do since acne puberty hit many years ago. That’s the privileged of being a pregnant mama. But this pregnant mama is also a ferocious eating

Woooo! Fireworks! Woooo!
2007-09-08 09:24:36
The Malaysia International Fireworks Competition 2007 was held at Putrajaya from 18 August till 2 September 2007. Azman and I went to see Italy, Japan and Canada’s performances. The first time we were there for Italy’s we managed to get really close to Putrajaya International Convention Center (PICC). So close that we can hear the background music playing. After all it was a musical fireworks competition and every bang! was musically choreographed. I was trying to capture the 20 minutes long show with our dvd recorder, but there was this little kid, I think about three or four years old that screamed “Woooooo!!” on top of his lungs at every exploding firework. He was standing really near to us so despite being close to PICC, the background sound for my recording was not Italian music but a kid yelling “ Woooo! Woooo! Woooo!” for TWENTY WHOLE GODDAMN MINUTES! I am gonna spare you the heartache so lets forget the movie and just enjoy the pictures here. Click on the image t

Of little birdie and little ballie-ballie
2007-09-03 11:03:02
“Stop posting my naked picture on the internet Mummy!” “This is not your naked picture son, its just your crotch!” Its just unbelievable thinking about this tiny little dude that’s growing inside my tummy, sucking the calcium outta my system, pressing the hell outta my bladder. I am now 20 weeks throughout the gestational period, the image above was taken when I was 18 weeks bloated pregnant. Yes, Insya Allah we are having a boy! In fact we had known this on the 14th week, when the baby decided to have his picture taken just like Daddy while watching TV; arms spread up like saying DON’T SHOOT ME! and legs sprawled wide apart. So there you go, shame! shame! The doctor had spotted your tiny little birdie and two little ballie-ballie which was oh so clearly exposed! Azman and I was really excited we were almost speechles. Didn’t expect that we could know our baby’s gender that soon. In fact, we didn’t even ask the doctor to find it out, it was so happene

My Ramadhan Memories
2007-09-27 10:13:23
The month of Ramadhan will always bring back sweet memories. I can’t really remember when I started to fast, however, I am sure I started during my primary school years because I managed to keep all my school allowances of RM0.30 per day and become a little rich man at the end of Ramadhan with around RM5 in my pocket!! If I could complete all the 30 days of fasting, my mom would request for all my saving and she will exchange it with a sacred red color note, RM10. Having ten bucks back then was so great, I almost thought it was in my dreams because even during Hari Raya, my total Duit Raya collection could hardly come close to that amount… That’s why in every Ramadhan as a grown up, each time I get hold of RM10 notes….I will always remember the day that I first got hold of it, appreciate it and dream about it… I have a lot more nice memories of Ramadhan…Once when I was in Zaaba College, University Malaya, my friend thrown a cat from the forth floor because the cat ate

Halloween on Aidilfitri, My Baju Raya Disaster
2007-10-10 08:00:43
Do you know how it feels? Can you feel the agony.. the frustration.. the urge to strangle a tailor with her own measuring tape that is nestling inside my aching heart? Oh dear.. All I wanted for Hari Raya is to have a nice decent dress, a longer version of this… And yet the cruel stubborn old witch tailor named Sally made me a longer version of this… My dream dress turned out to be a cross of Master Yoda’s robe and my mother’s sliding door drapes. It is so gross! The sleeves are so huge I could hide ten rabbits inside them. I don’t know what gave her the idea. I am pregnant in my tummy, lady! Why did you have to make the dress so huge around the sleeves and chest area too? I am having a human baby for goodness sake, I did not mate with a blue whale, okay! And where the hell did you get that design pattern? Its hideous!!! Oh what did I do? Can somebody tell me what have I done to deserve this fashion curse from hell? Is it all the laundry that I make my husband do since the

Angkasawan Malaysia - The Making of Malaysia’s First Astronaut
2007-10-06 09:46:57
I just received an e-mail that questions Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor’s position as the Malaysia n Astronaut . This is due to the information on NASA website, where they are not calling him an astronaut but a Spaceflight Participant. While reading that e-mail, I realize that they’re still some people out there that strongly believe that they are so bloody smart but actually so goddamn stupid!! Keep complaining about almost everything just because it is not them. Or maybe he/she was also one of those people that had tried their luck during the selection but failed miserably!. In my opinion, whatever you would like to call him..or NASA called him…he is still going to space and he’s still going to be our first astronaut!! Why do I say that?… Based on Wikipedia, An astronaut or cosmonaut is a person trained by a human spaceflight program to command, pilot, or serve as a crew member of a spacecraft. While generally reserved for professional space travelers, the term is sometime

Kedah Won 2007 Malaysia Cup to Record Historic Treble!
2007-09-10 04:30:25
The seeds of Kedah ’s unprecedented treble were shown almost three years ago. And on Saturday night, it all came to fruition. Having already bagged the Super League and FA Cup, the youthful Kedah side added the Malaysia Cup to their trophy cabinet when they defeated Perak 3-0 in the final on Saturday. First half goals from Mohd Khyril Muhymeen and Marlon James deflated a Perak side, who didn’t help themselves when skipper Ahmad Shahrul Azhar was sent off just before half time. Injuries to first choice strikers Khalid Jamlus, who limped out in the 30th minute and Guinean Keita Mandjou, meant that the Perak frontline was not effective as it was. With a comfortable 2-0 lead, Kedah just played on the counter attacked and finished off the game 10 minutes before the final whistle, with Marlon James nailing the coffin shut on Perak’s cup hopes. Kedah head coach, Mohd Azrai Khor Abdullah was notably delighted with his teams performance, “It is not easy to score three g

Ketupat Palas Galore
2007-10-19 23:38:49
People say kids enjoy Eid or Hari Raya Aidilfitri more than adults, but I’d say nope! that doesn’t apply to me ! I look forward to Hari Raya more anxiously every other year, and honestly deep down in my heart I feel more joy in giving Duit Raya rather than receiving. I must be getting old wiser! We spent Hari Raya eve at Azman’s parents home in Kedah before we head back to my mother’s in Penang that raya night. Azman managed to help his mother wrapped up some Ketupat Daun Palas and I the Ferocious Eating Monster Ketupat Eating Expert got to watch and learn for the very first time in my whole life. Of course, it is so cool that I just have to post it in this website. Who knows maybe there are more Ketupat Eating Experts out there that can learn a thing or two about making this delicious Malay Hari Raya delicacy. Yum! 1) These are young Palas Leaves, from a type of palm tree. 2) Take one, cut the jagged edges at the end and spread it out. 3) One end is folded like this 4)

Hari Raya Gathering Sesumojian Batch ‘93
2007-10-25 08:56:19
On the day my Pak Lang passed away ( Al- Fatihah ), my ex-schoolmate has arranged a Hari Raya gathering. Normally, we host gatherings in hotels or resorts, however this time..we chose to have it at our former class teacher’s house, Cikgu Puteh (Mrs. White..hehe). Cikgu Puteh was my class teacher for 2 years and she’s been teaching at Sekolah Sultan Mohamad Jiwa for almost 27 years. In fact last year she had won the award as the longest serving teacher. It is quite a difficult situation because I wanted to attend both ceremonies that are scheduled at the same time. Luckily, my friend, Adut, at the gathering informed that most of them are willing to wait for me until that late afternoon. So, I arrived at Cikgu Puteh’s house at Sungai Petani close to 4.00pm. Only Azli @ Adut, Basyir@ Buas, Megat @ Megades, Sofwan @ Mat Puan and the only schoolmate that I have not met since we finished schooling, Khairuddin @ Pak Din Kulop was still there . I thought I was the last person to arrive,

Have the world gone Microsoftised?
2007-10-30 10:27:05
In the morning when I was driving to the office the “ON” button of the car’s CD player was playing dumb to my finger’s command to start playing music. Was my two and a half year old metallic red car finally tired of my constant demand for a spin of Mawi Timbaland’s CD while transporting my butt all over the city? But how could I drive with the radio broken? What do you expect my left hand do if it can’t flip through radio channels while I drive? Hold on to the steering wheel? Puhleeez… So after thinking really hard I pulled over at the road side. Turn off my car engine and then turn it back on. I pressed the button and once again I was served with the barbaric terrific melody from my favourite tune- Chaiya Chaiya Give it to Me! Hooray! Later that evening at home, it was Azman’s beloved big screen HDTV’s turn to drive me up the wall. When I tried to switch it on, just like the usual I could hear the sound but now there was no picture. After 10 seconds, even th

Sensible Mum : As soon as we got to know that I was having a baby, my husband and I have done a lot of thinking and immediately prepare for the baby’s future …. We wanted everything to be convenient for her from the day she is born until she is all grown up… Geeky Mum : Yeah, same here with Azman and I! In fact, the day our baby is born, we will register ******azman.com just for him! Just imagine the horror someday when he wants to develop his own website and someone else has taken that unique domain name?! Oh! What kind of parents are we if we can’t even get THAT pre-planned for our child?! Sensible Mum : Actually the preparation I was talking about is college fund…. Geeky Mum : Aah..right…..

Celebrating our first Paypal withdrawal to Al-Rajhi
2007-11-01 23:54:36
Thursday nights are happy nights but last night was one hell of a happy Thursday night! Hehe! In late September, we got the news that our money in Paypal can now be transferred to Visa Debit Card. I can’t say it was like seeing a light at the end of the tunnel because our financial tunnel is honestly have always been brightly lighted like SMART Tunnel. So it is fair that I say the news was to me like seeing the light at Louis Vuitton boutique at the end of the dark Starhill corridor. If you know what I mean. So following the good news, we decided to go for Al-Rajhi Bank Malaysia for the Visa Debit Card and very soon after we found ourselves floating like angels to Al-Rajhi Bandar Puteri to get one. And we must give credit to the bank’s excellent service, from the resourceful Pak Guard to the helpful Bank Manager; we got the debit card right there and then. Though we itched and itched to transfer some money from our Paypal right away, we remained patient and waited until other Mala

Betrayal
2007-11-06 00:50:18
The day you knocked appeared at my door was the day you knocked into my heart. The pleading look on your crystal clear eyes and from the way your soft thick hair frame your handsome face I knew immediately that you own a very special piece of my heart. So I took you in… I have nothing but warmth and love to shelter you from the spite of the outside world, to shield you from harm and danger.. to embrace you from your aching memories of those vicious dogs… I vow to make you forget… With me, you will never be harmed again… So I shower you with love and affection…Every tender caress every affectionate kiss.. Everything that I have I share with you, even the tiniest morsel of tuna, and the very last drop of Dutch Lady Full Cream milk… As you recuperate, your needs get more demanding …But it doesn’t matter. I was willing to sacrifice! I would give you just about anything.. when I see Friskies is too hard for your little teeth I bought you Whiskas Pockets.. When you took

5 things I love about being pregnant
2007-11-11 08:34:51
Today I am 30 weeks pregnant . You guys should see my tummy, it looks like a juicy, delicious, huge brown melon. If only I can get it to a county fair,I bet I can bag gold medal in water melon AND pumpkin category just like that! But instead Azman and I attended an antenatal class today, and we met the lovely MummyDini there. I did not recognize her,for she hardly uploads her picture in her blog. But she is so kind to say hello and I pray for her safe delivery in a couple of weeks. So far my pregnancy has been pretty breezy, thank goodness and here are 5 things I love the most about being pregnant: 1) Husband does the dishes 2) Husband does the laundry 3) Husband supports excessive spending 4) Husband drives out to get large A&W root beer float at 1am 5) Sexy super huge boobs

Majlis Hari Raya Diyanazman
2007-11-17 11:27:10
This website has slightly more than a hundred posts only but I really can’t recall if I have written anything about our Hari Raya in 2006. The pictures are here though, you can have a look and see how much we have not change except for my face that used to look like a face but now looks like a dining plate and my nose that used to look like a nose now looks like a jambu ayaq terlebih baja. We had a small Majlis Hari Raya again this year for family members and close friends only. But that still adds up to about 100 people. I guess we have a lot of close friends huh? This is in spite of forgetting many people like my darling SuperfluousBabe and her sister the equally lovely Alyne. Sorry babe! Huhu.. it’s the pregnancy, I tend to forget beautiful people with hot bod and flat stomach during my pregnancy, its nothing personal okay! (Bodek jangan tak bodek!) I cooked my signature Bolognese spaghetti and chicken rendang (chicken stewed in local herbs and spices) again this time around.

Remember.. Remember the 10th of November
2007-11-15 09:06:31
Last weekend, my car got stuck in a traffic jam at Bandar Kinrara. It was pretty weird because the traffic is normally smooth over there especially during holidays. I later found out that it happened due to the policemen conducting a road block in front of Bintang supermarket. Why??? I didn’t know until much later after I talked with my uncle, Pak Cu Din.He came to our house for Hari Raya gathering. From him I got to know that all the roads to KL have been closed due to the government’s efforts in trying to prevent the people from attending Perhimpunan Bersih at Merdeka Square. Anybody with yellow shirt will be asked to return back!! That sounded silly but after all silly things always happen in our lives. No complain about that!! Another funny thing is that.. I have never even heard about that gathering and marching before!! Looks like they were preventing me from attending a function that I was not aware of and in the process, I was exposed to something that I didn’t

Space Cop Gaban Meets Angkasawan!
2007-11-23 22:51:03
Since I have been transferred to Tuner department, I didn’t know any headquarter members from Japan until last week when one of our Mechanical Designers arrived! So, there will be no more Murata-san this time but Miyazaki-san. He is around 40 years old and at first, he seems like a very strict and serious person. But he cannot hide the real him from me because I just know how to bring it out! That is why, after just 1 day of working with me.. I managed to expose the real him!! He is actually a very funny guy. He laughs a lot and shockingly he is Metallica fan just like me!! He played guitar and even have his own band when he was younger. Not only that, he also knows a lot about other famous bands such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple etc quite well! I never met any Japanese that enjoys heavy metal before. This is the first time. Since I never heard Metallica song in Japanese accent before, I asked him to sing one song for me. Then he chooses to sing “Sad But True”. Fuuyyooo…he is

Mejar Dr Faiz Khaleed attacked by robbers
2007-11-22 05:51:08
I just cannot believe that this has happened. The Malaysian Angkasawan Mejar Dr Faiz Khaleed’s arm was slashed by two robbers with a parang at 2am today outside his house in Taman Mawar Cheras. He didn’t lose anything but apparently his friend lost piece of jewellery. Man, I feel so sorry for him, right after Dr Faiz was crowned THE SECOND CHOICE; he got parang put on his neck! So kesian. Luckily he got promoted as a Mejar recently. Else I would say he is badly in need some mandi bunga or something. Haha.. The people who need a good soak in a floral bath to get rid of all the jinx is actually me and colleagues. Yesterday the Minister decided to hold the Post-Cabinet meeting at our office at a spur of a moment. The meeting was to be held today at 10am and the news was announced to us at about 3pm yesterday. Since it is our nature as suckupsbuttkissers to prepare the best accommodation for the Minister and about 70 other Datuks and Tan Sris and Datins and Datin Sris that will be a

No more Soyuz for our Angkasawan
2007-11-25 11:01:38
The controversial Angkasawan Project never seems to end. Just as the national uproar on the significant but ineffectual project that costs US30 million about to ease, the government has taken yet another taxpayers’ money consuming step. This time it is even less beneficial to country, and solely for the personal benefit of the two Angkasawan, Dr Sheikh Muzaphar and Mejar Dr Faiz. It is reported that an exclusive personal chauffeur has been officially appointed for the two Malaysian heroes and following the robbery attack on Dr Faiz, the chauffeur is also their full time bodyguard. Following are the confidential pictures brought to you by Diyanazman.com. This picture is taken during the official appointment of Space Cop Gaban. With the appointment of Gaban, the second Angkasawan can be launched to ISS in the Cyberian (Kereta Perisai Gaban) instead of Soyuz.

MX3 2007 for mini me
2007-12-02 19:20:09
I feel like I have not blog in a long long time. I have been extremely busy with work and being pregnant and shopping and shopping and shopping. Yes, when you are 33 weeks pregnant, you do need to do a lot shopping, honey. Unless in case of an emergency pop out (touch wood), your baby is forced to use your lefteover Kotex pad from your last period 9 months ago as diapers because you didn’t get around to buy Mommy Poko. Among the earliest thing that we purchased for our kid is the baby jogger. We bought a jogger instead of a normal stroller because when having a mum like me a dad like Azman, you just don’t know what kind of activities readily lined up for you. Before I turned preggie, we have spent much of our free time with activities that range from playing sports to jungle tracking and from mountain hiking to tree climbing. Now we just can’t wait for the baby to be old enough to join mummy and daddy for our favorite pastimes that we have neglected for so long; I am pretty sure

I am sorry you have a lazy wife…
2007-12-10 11:19:29
It has always been my concern that the amplification of my husband's waistline measurement must be reflected from the efficiency of my wifey duties. In other words, if my husband gets fat, it must be my fault and not Kolonel Sanders'. Or Kenny Rogers'. Or Abdul Kadeer's; the head chef at Syed Bistro. But lately I have been Azman's premier subject of blame for the lost of the precious 5 kilos that he has been painstakingly accumulate on his tummy. He said because of me he has to reconsider the job offer as design engineer at Sony newest plant in north pole. He said because of me he looks a few years younger. He said because me his pants fit him better. It's all because of me! Me! Me! Okay… I admit. I have not been cooking for a long long time. And my gedik spoiled husband just cannot survive without homecook meals he is losing weight. Can you believe that? Mengadaness beyond words, that's how I would describe it but a part of me still contain some sympathy for mr.

I only have 6 more weeks to go before I pop. Hooray!! Then I can start walking again instead of waddling my way through. That's something that I started to do when I turned 8 months preggie and it annoys me a great deal. Not being able to walk very fast like I used to means taking longer time to check out the mega sale in Midvalley. Sometimes I get tired half way through and call it quit. Other time I reached Robinsons just in time for them to close down because I waddle instead of walk down from Isetan at the other end of The Gardens. I have been trying hard not to think of all the bargains that I have missed just because I walk very slowly. Rugi you know! Rugi! Tsk tsk! But if I were to look at it from a different perspective - damn! That's just 6 weeks before labour; 6 weeks before the haunting E.P.I.S.I.O.T.O.M.Y! Oh no! And guess whats the biggest horror of all?!… tick tock tick tock! I only have 6 weeks to fully utilize my pregnancy craving coupons! I have been thro

The time when we got scared
2007-12-16 22:33:43
A few weeks ago, my baby picked up a new habit of poking my tummy with either a knee or a foot or a fist or an elbow with such a force that I can see it protrude so sharply out of my tummy . This happens at every minute in a day, nonstop, poke poke poke! I thought he was just trying to amuse himself; I do that too you see, when I get bored I poke Azman's eyeballs with my index finger and shout "Toing! Toing! Toing!" to his ear too. Since I believe in karma; I thought my baby was just taking his father's side so I just let him punish me instead of poking back at him. With the heel of my stilettos. But when the jutting out of the fist MOVES in random motions, I am beginning to think that maybe my baby is trying to tell me something! Its the DHA supplement you see, I think he is trying to scribble some kinda message to me. Like in The Exorcist. So do not think I am weird when you catch me staring so intently at my own tummy okay?; I am just trying to catch one of his scribbling
