I have just upgraded to the 'new' Blogger which has heaps of new features which I haven't fully worked out yet.You will notice that some of the elements from the sidebar on the right are missing. Certain things will be replaced but not all of them.In the near future TRW will be getting a complete overhaul so look out for that.
The Razor Roundup 1970-01-01 00:59:59 A lot happened this weekend so here is a quick round up of all that was important.Pete won Big Brother 7 as expected. He seemed genuinely astonished that he had won and gave one of the best 'winner exiting the house' performances of all time. His interview seemed very brief and they didn't do that thing where they pretend the prize money is being transferred into his bank account which was a shame. Well done Pete.LINKThat Killers video we mentioned (see below) wasn't quite as 'epic' as was expected but nonetheless is still rather good. It premiered on Channel 4 Friday night so should be on all the music channels and oh look... ...LINKIt turns out Snakes On A Plane is the best movie ever. I went to see it yesterday and was very impressed. It has just the right balance of action, drama and comedy plus some of the characters even develop as the story unfolds. Go and see it now! The only complaint I has was with the 'snake vision' scenes, completely unnecessary and they looked shit Read more:Razor
Movie: Snakes On A Plane 1970-01-01 00:59:59 "That's it! I have had it with these motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking plane!" This weeks sees the release of one of the most highly anticipated movies of the year.Snakes
On A Plane
, a horror filled action packed thriller starring Samuel L Jackson, has been through a lengthily and somewhat unique process to get so that you can go and see it at the cinema.Filming originally wrapped last September but following an unprecedented internet following surrounding the film, New Line cinema ordered the shooting of a number of addition scenes which took place in March. The movie's internet buzz has also resulted in a number of bootleg trailers, a title change and a wealth of Snakes On A Plane influenced music.Never before has a film been so talked about without the aid of a multi million pound marketing campaign. Snakes On A Plane's self promoting nature could well mean that it becomes one of the highest grossing movies of 2006.Trailersee You Tube for loads more SoaP related vidsPerso
T®W On Demand 1970-01-01 00:59:59 *new*I hate music video channels on TV. They are rubbish and you have to sit through all manner of advertising aimed at chavs who are assumed not to posses the power of thought. Word of advice - be sure to check the details of how you know someone, a classic 'facebook joke' is for someone (usually of the same sex) to say that you banged them when you are actually just pals - hilarous! The Killers in Blackpool - Part 2 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Despite the generosity of The Killers
as they roamed around Blackpool
during the day and Radio 1's liberal giving away of tickets throughout last week, there were still hundreds of fans desperate for a slice of the action waiting on the streets surrounding Blackpool's Winter Gardens in the hope that they would get their hands on a ticket for this one off gig.Even those lucky enough to have tickets began queueing many hours before the show, desperate to secure a spot as close as possible to the stage. Anticipation was high and the atmosphere was electric as the crowds waited for the doors to the Empress Ballroom to open.Inside, the venue was perfect for The Killers. Incredibly grand, slightly camp yet incredibly classy and cool. The crowd poured in, racing towards the modestly sized stage emblazoned with hundreds if not thousands of fairy lights. There was no waiting around. Zane Lowe took to the decks for an incredible DJ set, warming the crowd into a frenzy.Shortly after 9pm The Kill
The Razor Roundup 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Robbie Williams has cancelled the Asia leg of his tour. I'll be alright for the next few weeks but a bit tired on Wednesday 18th October so don't expect any posts then alright?![LINK]Scissor Sisters are warming up to play in front of 15,000 fans tonight in Trafalgar Square, London. Lil' Chris 1970-01-01 00:59:59 When I first heard 'Checkin' It Out', the debut single from, the star of Rock School, Lil' Chris
, I thought: "Blimey, that nose job really really has changed the sound of Ashlee Simpson's voice, but I like this new song".Since then of course it has emerged that the song is in fact sung by a very small boy. Instantly I felt weird about liking the song. Saying out loud "I like Lil' Chris" is even more embarrasing than saying out loud "cor, this Ashlee Simpson song is good" - isn't it?!I'm still not comfortable with the idea but it is a good song... ..I think. Jo Whiley, she who is an authority on all things cool, likes it and so do the rest of the clan at Radio 1. 'Checkin It Out' has made it onto the 'A' playlist in time for its release. It's all still a bit novelty though isn't it? If you watch the video (which is also worryingly watchable) you'll notice that Lil' Chris's' (apostrophe confusion) band members are all about three times his age (and height). Also, despite
New Singles - 25/09/2006 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Here's a quick look at the best new singles in the shops on Monday... ...Lil' Chris - Checkin' It OutThe star of Rock School begins his assault on the charts with this mini anthem. Set to chart this Sunday on downloads alone it looks sure to be a top ten hit. Catchy, infectious and annoying are all acceptable adjectives to employ in the description on this song. Despite my reservations about the whole child popstar thing (see below) 'Checkin' It Out' is growing on me - eek!*** (these are stars, Lil' Chris has 3 - that probably counts as 'good')Paolo Nutini - Jenny Don't Be HastyThe second single from this super talented Scottish teenager is a cracker. More upbeat than it's predecessor, 'Last Request', the track has been receiving an excellent reception at his live shows for some time now. Described as a 'vintage classic' on the artists website, I have no doubt that in years to come it truly will be.**** (stars again, Paolo Nutini has 4 - that probably counts as 'very go Read more:Singles
The Killers in Blackpool - Part 1 1970-01-01 00:59:59 As you may have heard, The Killers
played an amazing gig at Blackpool
's Empress Ballroom on Friday night. The Razor Wire headed to Blackpool for all of the action.Arriving late Thursday night after a delayed Ryanair flight, Blackpool didn't strike us as the 'Las Vegas of the north' which is how Radio 1 had described it in their publicity. Instead we struggled to find a bar which we were confident we wouldn't leave in an ambulance and I got shot in the leg with a BB gun by some filthy chavs. In stark contrast on Friday morning we awoke to bright sunshine and Blackpool had come to life. First stop was the Pleasure Beach where Jo Whiley was broadcasting live from.Jo was having whale of a time playing on the rides and incredibly managing to keep her breakfast down and continue with her show like the professional she is.The Killers arrived to an less than overwhelming response from the theme park's patrons. This was mainly because they were a hoard of about 4,000 chav kids who have bee
Mercury Monkeys and A Trip to Primark for Girls Aloud 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Last night the prestigious Mercury
Music prize was, in a shock move, awarded to a band who have actually sold a copy of their album.Hot favourites Arctic Monkeys
won the £20,000 prize for their record breaking debut album 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not'.Another shock was that the band were actually there to accept the award, a stark contrast to their refusal to appear at the Brits and the hoax they pulled with their pre-recorded acceptance video. In true Monkeys style however, the boys were less than co-operative in the post ceremony press conference.... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...On the other side of town another big music prize was being awarded - the infamous Popjustice £20 Music Prize.Although no official announcement has been made yet, it is rumoured to have been awarded to GirlsAloud

The single, taken from the debut album 'Here Come The Drums', samples the guitar riff from 1979 hit 'My Sharona' originally performed by The Knacks apparently.Lets watch the video...It's not as good as 'Voodoo Child' but I think it may be a grower. TRW Most Played (04/09/2006) 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Basement Jaxx - Take Me Back To Your HouseThis track taken from the new album 'Crazy Itch Radio' knocks the socks off the new single 'Hush Boy'. It's classic Jaxx with a hint of progress. They have already made the above video so one can only assume it will be the next single. The Only Ones - Another Girl, Another PlanetNot a new song but given a new lease of life by the recent Vodaphone adverts on the telly. Mason vs Princess Superstar - Perfect (Exceeder) 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Hoi.. ...You know the drill by now. A dance track comes along, it's an instrumental (i.e. there is a distinct lack of vocals), it's ok to hear out on a boozy night but you'd never buy it - this is why upon it's original release it charts lower than Emma Bunton's album....But then... ..just when you think it's all over along come some vocals.. ...they attach themself to the aforementioned instrumental dance track and it becomes an absolute belter... ...cue video:That's what's happened here. T®W Loves (...and Doesn't Love) 2006 - Part 1 1970-01-01 00:59:59 It's time for the obligatory review of the year rubbish. To keep things simple TRW's is in the form of two relatively short lists. T®W loves… … Nelly Furtado - not only is she very pretty and a bit bananas, this year Ms Furtado has made a brilliant album and provided the country with the best number one pop record of the year… ….well done Nelly. Pirates of the Caribbean: 2 - it was a very good film. Although I didn't see many this year. Nikki Graham - the true winner of Big Brother 2006, although give it a bone now please love… …we've had quite enough. MySpace, You Tube, Facebook etc etc - it really has been a good year for the internet. Not only can I watch any music video ever made on You Tube, I can share and talk about said videos with all of my friends and millions of strangers on MySpace. It will probably all get ruined next year by a fat man in a suit and some legal proceedings so enjoy it while you can. Lil' Chris - a very sm
