HORROR AT YOUTH LEADER'S WEBSITE
2007-05-16 21:32:00
Videos apparently inciting anti-Semitism were posted on the internet by a youth leader who was last year commended for his work with teenagers. The films entitled Raceland and What Is White Nationalism? were added to the Bebo site, which is used by millions of teenagers, by air cadet unit leader Mike Howson.Mr Howson, who leads a unit at Rudloe, is also the British National Party regional organiser for the mid-west, and two months ago launched a community patrol in Corsham to provide what he described as a "calming influence on local yobs". One of the films added by Mr Howson included text promoting white nationals as "ordinary white people who want to protect themselves from being mugged by multi-culturalism and raped by multi-racialism".Another depicted a police officer being attacked on a public highway, images of the Israeli flag pierced by a dagger, American president George Bush taking a bite out of the neck of the Statue of Liberty and

Sian Timoney attacks the BNPNot local, just funny !!Great speech by Sian Timoney. The British National Party was booed out of Luton during the local elections. After roundly defeating BNP candidate Robert Sheddock in Farley, Labour councillors laid into the BNP.One, Sian Timoney, said: "Have you heard the one about the Muslim, the Jew and the woman who whipped the arse of the BNP? The people of Farley have rejected fascists, racists and extremists. "Go home you are not welcome here." There were boos and clapping as the BNP stormed out of the hall. The BNP was clearly defeated in what was a knifedge night for the main parties with councillors refusing to predict a result.Council leader David Franks refused to be drawn after winning his seat but said: "I want to thank Crawley voters for their confidence in their Liberal Democrat councillors."Labour's Cllr Roy Davis though predicted that Labour could buck the national trend in a big way and after getting elected said: "I l

Red card' for BNP as party fails to make gains
2007-05-14 11:31:00
FEARS that Heckmondwike could become the first all-BNP ward in Yorkshire were quashed at last week's elections. The far-right party failed to make any gains at the Kirklees elections – despite standing 23 candidates.Had BNP candidate Steve Cass been elected in Heckmondwike he would have served with BNP councillors David Exley and Roger Roberts – a situation the party’s leader Nick Griffin anticipated.Mr Griffin visited Heckmondwike and Cleckheaton last month. At the time he said: “I’m hoping we’ll get the third seat in Heckmondwike. If we can get a few more seats then we can start to make a difference in council chambers as well as in the wards.“I think you’ll see a difference in the council landscape after the elections.”But despite a strong campaign the party lost out to David Sheard, who has been a Labour councillor for more than 20 years.Coun Sheard said it would have been bad news for Heckmondwike had the BNP taken his seat.He added: “I thought I would

Malik says BNP got thrashing.
2007-05-11 19:31:00
DEWSBURY'S MP says the far right has been "stopped dead in their tracks" in the town. After last week's Kirklees Council election, Shahid Malik described the Conservatives as "a spent force" outside the South of England. The MP was reacting to the vote which saw Labour take Dewsbury East from the Lib Dems with the BNP finishing a close second. In Dewsbury South Labour came within 150 votes of unseating the Conservatives while the Lib Dems easily retained Dewsbury West.Mr Malik was delighted with the results."Labour has increased its support in Dewsbury and across Kirklees," he said. "The BNP, who had predicted a doubling of their councillors from three to six, have been stopped dead in their tracks."And Mr Malik said he thought the far right party would receive less support in future elections. He said: "It is clear that the tide is slowly shifting against the BNP and I believe that as more decent people understand their agenda they will cease to vote for them."Mr Malik also critici

A DAY TRIP TO AUSCHWITZ
2007-05-11 12:53:00
A really thought provoking piece by the Stirrer.Dozens of West Midlands teenagers headed to Auschwitz yesterday – courtesy of Gordon Brown. And The Stirrer was with them. An excursion to World War Two’s most horrific extermination camp, where at least one and a half million souls perished? What a gruesome prospect for day trip. At the same time, although Auschwitz never appears in those lists of “100 Things To Do Before You Die”, there’s a strong argument that a visit should be a compulsory part of the school curriculum. The government hasn’t gone that far, but an award of £1.5 million from Gordon Brown to the Holocaust Educational Trust has ensured that at least two pupils from every school in the country can go at a vastly subsidised rate – and youngsters from Birmingham, Dudley, Wolverhampton and Coventry arrived bleary eyed at the airport at 5 a.m. to take full advantage. Also with them, a cluster of journalists and a couple of local MP’s

BNP Lose Another Councillor
2007-05-11 12:17:00
It appears that Mark Leat the Longton North BNP councillor on Stoke Council has jumped ship.Leat is now listed as a non aligned Independent on the Stoke Council website. This wipes out the overall gain of one councillor that followed the elections last week. That means the BNP have the same amount of councillors now as prior to the elections.May just gets worse for the BNP

University halts BNP speech plan
2007-05-10 20:24:00
BNP leader Nick Griffin has been blocked from making a speech at a university meeting amid fears over security. He was due to address students at the University of Bath after permission had initially been granted. But a university spokesman said it was concerned a large number of protesters would create public order problems. The BNP said it was disappointed that free speech and debate had been prevented. Bath Students' Union President Paul Jaggers welcomed the decision and said students had spoken. The row began when first year politics student Danny Lake, a national organiser for the youth wing of the party, invited Mr Griffin to make a speech on campus.

Firth wins back Dewsbury East
2007-05-10 10:45:00
This is one especially for Serial Loser Nick Cass ! ERIC Firth is celebrating after narrowly winning back the seat he lost last year to the BNP. The Labour candidate snatched back his seat with 2,172 votes, giving him a majority of 84 votes over the BNP's Nick Cass, who polled 2,088.It means Dennis Hullock (Lib Dem) has lost his seat. He polled 1,283 votes.Amelia Bolton (Con) polled 382 and Claire Plunkett (Green) received 88 votes. In Dewsbury South, the Conservatives held on with narrow victory over Labour.Salim Patel (Con) polled 2,162 votes while Abdulhai Munshi received 2,026.The BNP's Frank Atack polled 1,613, Lib Dem candidate Bernard Disken received 346 votes followed by the Green's Adrian Cruden with 277.Naz Hussain was re-elected for the Lib Dems in Dewsbury West.He polled 2,650 votes, 939 more than Labour's Cathy Scott with 1,711.BNP candidate Simon Towers polled 950 votes, followed by K

Exley admits BNP did badly in Kirklees
2007-05-10 10:09:00
TORY leader Coun Robert Light insists the Conservatives will remain in control of Kirklees Council despite Labour becoming the biggest party. The expected march of the BNP failed to materialise but BNP leader David Exley said: "We are down but not out."The Tory administration took over from the Lib Dems last June and Coun Light said: "A change now would be disastrous for the district."The Conservatives have made a good start in changing Kirklees for the better and we will be seeking the support of the other parties to continue to run the council."I believe you cannot have a revolving door approach to how the council is run."Coun Light said his party would speak to any of the other groups but ruled out any form of shared administration."That has never worked before in Kirklees," he said. Before Thursday’s poll the Tories had 21 seats and Labour and the Lib Dems 20 each. The Tories held two closely-fought seats in Dewsbury South and Liversedge & Gomersal but lost cabin

Police investigates claim it has BNP members
2007-05-09 11:39:00
One of Britain's biggest police forces is investigating allegations that it has British National party members among its frontline officers, the Guardian has learned.Greater Manchester police launched the investigation after complaints from its own officers, who say they saw colleagues at a BNP event to mark St George's Day.The supporters of the extreme rightwing party had gathered outside a pub in Manchester city centre and police were called after complaints that they had turned rowdy. The allegations are especially embarrassing for Greater Manchester police, (GMP) which was one of the forces whose trainee officers were caught making racist remarks by an undercover television programme. After the revelations in the BBC Secret Police man documentary the force vowed to stamp out racism in the ranks. The force says it has seized CCTV footage and its detectives will scour it frame by frame for evidence. The force vowed that any officer found to be a BNP member could be sacked. But the BNP

Kirklees BNP Humiliated-Again!!
2007-05-07 19:21:00
David Exley BNP councillor for Heckmondwike and North Kirklees organiser recently predicted in the media that the BNP would win 7 seats in this years council elections. This came as no real surprise as Dippy Dave always predicts a 7 seat haul and as in previous times Dippy Dave was very wide of the mark. The BNPs favourite rag "The Dewsbury Press" confidently predicted that the BNP might hold the balance of power after May 3rd.But when has anyone ever believed "The Dewsbury Press" ?However the reality was very different. It became clear on the night of May 3rd that nationally the BNP vote had collapsed.Sandwell in the Black Country was one of the first set of results to come through. The BNP had high hopes here as they already have 4 councillors here.In the Great Bridge ward alone, disgraced former teacher Simon Smith took the ward in 2006 with 45% of the voteIn 2007 the BNP vote collapsed and the Great Bridge candidate came second with just 30% of the vote.A full 15% decrease. One by one t

Use your vote, stop the BNP says Tatchell
2007-05-03 14:21:00
The far right British National party (BNP) is fighting a record 800-plus seats in today's elections - fielding more than twice as many candidates as in previous votes. At stake are seats in the Scottish parliament, the Welsh assembly and local councils in most parts of England outside London. The BNP is aiming to double its number of councillors. This is the biggest electoral push the party has ever mounted. There are widespread fears that the BNP will make significant electoral gains and strengthen its foothold in dozens of local authorities - unless voters turn out to block its advance. The BNP tends to do well when there is a low turnout. Voter apathy allows its candidates to come through the middle and snatch seats. That is why it is so important for you to vote today, if you live in a constituency where elections are being held. Make sure your family, friends and neighbours vote, too. A high turnout will reduce the BNP's share of the vote and lessen its chance of winning s

Watch out for the slime

An excellent and well written article taken from our friends "The Hard Sell"http://thehardsell.wordpress.com/As you may know, there’s an election on and I’ve just received a massive pack of election communications through my door. Unfortunately amongst these was one for the BNP (oddly hidden inside one of the other leaflets, indicating that this was their one free Election Commission mailout.) I felt dirty just touching the thing. The fact is of course that they have no chance of getting anywhere in Scotland, but they try: commendably the parents of Kriss Donald told Griffin and co. exactly where they could stick their anti-Asian propaganda when they tried to hijack their tragedy, and hardly anyone up here has ever voted for them. But what of the leaflet? Well, it’s typical BNP propaganda. Home printer quality, twenty years outdated styling, crap about how they’re Scotland’s “fastest growing political party” (maybe from two members to four), grammar errors, almost all in

Probe into razor blade hate mail
2007-05-02 11:18:00
A HATE-mail investigation has been launched after a letter containing a razor blade was posted to a candidate standing in tomorrow's Bolton Council elections. The mail was sent to the home of Veritas candidate Anthony Backhouse and contained a handwritten note claiming to be from the British National Party.Police have been called in to investigate the incident. Detective Inspector Paul Hitchen, from Bolton CID, said they would be examining the letters for forensic evidence and finger prints. He said: "We have got to treat this as a serious incident. The blades have been placed right inside the lip of the envelope. It does give us cause for concern." Mr Backhouse, who is vying for a seat in the Tonge with The Haulgh ward, was warned about hate-mail on Monday by local Veritas secretary David Joneswho received an identical letter that morning. "He said watch your post' because he was sent a letter with a razor blade under the seal of the flap. So I rang my wife and warned her not to op

It's A Great Life- If You're A Griffin!
2007-05-22 11:38:00
Taken from our friends over at Remember StalingradA few years ago there was some outrage and even a walk out in the BNP over Nick Griffin 's decision to award himself a chunk of party funds to make improvements to his farm and home in Wales.Griffin said at the time that the funds would be used to build facilities that could be used by the party for functions and training seminars in the secluded surrounds of rural Welshpool, where Griffin has made a home on the back of his inherited wealth. As you can see from the picture above of Jackie "Night Nurse" Griffin, living the life of luxury, supping champagne in the family spa, the Griffin family home is already a long way from the reality of people in inner cities that the BNP attempt to target.Indeed, Griffin is on record as describing people that still live in cities as "decadent," while Mrs Griffin herself did tell the Mail on Sunday in 2005, that her husband had never "had a proper job."It's a great life in the Griffin family. Ignore myths, stick to facts
2007-05-22 03:44:00
It would be rough justice indeed to compare MP Margaret Hodge's weekend call for "indigenous families" to get a bigger share of East London's social housing to that watershed moment in 1968 when Enoch Powell made his "rivers of blood" speech in Wolverhampton.Powell's crude, calculated talk of bloodshed ahead and "wide-grinning piccaninnies" sullied his reputation for ever. Hodge too was seeking - not for the first time - to articulate complaints of her constituents in Barking, that newcomers are making it harder for their children to either rent or buy a home.In her case only the coded word "indigenous" was deemed offensive, just as David Blunkett was chided for repeating Mrs Thatcher's 1978 use of "swamped" in regard to schools and doctors' surgeries. The British Sociological Association has a list of racially sensitive words which is constantly evolving. In 1968 Martin Luther King, as well as Mr Powell, used "negro".But, like Mr Powell, Mrs Hodge was challenged to provide hard e

Jackson loses as challenge starts
2007-05-20 20:37:00
Thanks to our friends at Lancaster UAF for this one.News from the BNP bunker reaches us to the effect that the current BNP leadership is fighting off the proposed challenge from Chris Jackson in the only way it knows - by completely subverting the democratic process.Curiously for a party that purports to be the only truly democratic party in the known universe, its internal structure is probably as far away from democracy as it can possibly be. It certainly has nothing remotely like one member one vote and has recently introduced voting rights at its conference - where all the really big decisions should be made - for those who donate large sums of money into Nick Griffin's pock- party coffers. Now it has been revealed that the leadership challenger, although he fulfils all the convoluted requirements designed solely to keep Griffin in place until he dies or the membership has made him rich enough to retire, cannot use the internet, printed, electronic or recorded material to advance h
