Today was the Flea Market
.. I must tell you I have Not been in 6 years right after my Back Surgery and I did Not make it far then. The kind of Weird thing about this time is that My Back has been Bad for several days. Just something that struck me as wierd! Well, I snuck away early at 8 am and was at the gate by 8;30. I paid the extra to get in. (I did Choke up a Lung paying that price too. ) Anyway the Vintage section is literally 75% of the Business. Let me start by saying I only went over my budget by $40! Not Bad... I was leaving and found a Lovely lady who has the prettiest Vintage FaBric totes and purses also pillow that are Beautiful. It is Huge and a bit Overwhelming. In my Opinion it is a Bit OVERPRICED. Now I get most of my Jewels from a local Flea Market that could Never Pail in Comparison. You can probably find just about anything Vintage you desire here. Happy Weekend my Friends. I Wanted to share some of my Fall/Halloween Decorating that I have Scattered about. I have put out quite a bit This year and have not even Begun on the Outside. Well, Elijah's evening with the Husband went well and they both had a Great time. My Evening with the Sass Mouth "Fell by the Waist Side" but SHHHH it was Fine with me.The Movie she wanted to see isnt playing until the end of the Month and she was Hanging out with some Girlfriends. She slept at a Friends and today is MallDay for her Posse!!! She was cocerned that I was Upset? Haha, An evening ALONE, Are you serious? She said, "her friends think I am so Cool cuz I let her hang out with them and did not insist she be with me". Just playing on Photobucket so I wanted to share My Version of a Greek Salad...It is Easy and Low Fat. Since it is so hot this time of year who wants to be Slaving in Kitchen. We are big Salad eaters and I came up with this Version:
Romain Lettuce
Low Fat Fetta Cheese
Red Peppers
Cucumber
Purple Onion
Greek Olives (optional)
2-Lemons (this is your Dressing)
Cut up all the ingredients and mix everything together. I like to add some spices, salt,pepper and garlic powder. Cut the lemons in half and squeeze them over the Salad. (I hold my hand under the lemons to catch the seeds) Mix it all together and there you have it!!! The Lemon Juice mixes with the Feta Cheese and makes the Best dressing. I like to have it with fresh Bread and a Veggie or Fruit Salad. Just my little Twist on a Traditional Greek Salad... Try it!

Good Afternoon to Everyone. I do hope Everyone has been having a Good week. We are experiencing some Cloudy and Cooler Weather wich is so nice. Our Washer broke this week and the Repair man came and said it was Finished! We have only had it for 8 years. Geesh... I guess I do a bit too much Laundry. Well, I have been Improvising, Guess where I have been doing the Wash? In the Kids Bathtub!! Hey it is working... Elijah is getting the biggest kick out of this. Happy Mid-Week to all. Busy around here as usual. Lots of Good things Happening. My New T-shirts are on their way and will just need to be Rhinestoned and then they are Ready for anyone who would like them. I also ordered Long Sleeve Thermals for the Winter cooler weather. I made my Weekly Run to the Flea Market and got some Great Jewelry Finds I am so thrilled with. I added some of the findings to my Etsy shop and the rest I am using in my Jewelry. I just Love all the Colorful People I meet up with there.My most FAVORITE find is the Birdcage in the Picture. I saw this a few months ago and it was to Pricey for me. Everytime I would see the Vendor after that I would Eyeball it and just pass by. Well, this week I just asked her in passing how much? Her price Lowered quite a bit so I took it home! These pictures are the before, I was going to do a whole post on fall flowers, well by the next day..... They were all Decapitated! Ughh,, I know better, the Bunnies have been an Issue for a long time. I knew they liked the Pansies but it comepletely went out of head while I was buying and Planting them. Don't get me wrong I am a Huge Animal Lover but, When it comes to my Garden I get so PO'd at the Creatures that see fit to Eat my flowers. My Back has been Terrible lately so for me to have to go dig them up and replant something else was notFUN!!! I replace them with Stock,and more Snapdrogns. Do you like it? It is called a Moving Billboard. I purchased it a few months Back from a Shop at Etsy www.busymomcreations.etsy.com . When it came in the mail My Hubby asked what was I going to do with it? Well, HELLO, Im going to put it on my Car. He informed me the lease is up on the Car in a few months so you may want to wait. Well, I did and Friday Night he brought me a New Car and guess what we did Saturday morning? I Love it, It was Very Easy to put on and it looks very Good. I received wonderful service and it was at my door Quickly. I know there are many of us out in Blogland who also Have Etsy shops or Ebay or even your own Web shop. Good Monday Morning to Everyone. Hope everyone had a Nice Fall Weekend. I am Affraid mine was Painful. I have a Few Bad discs in my back one was Repaired 5 years ago and the one above it was not Reapairable at the time. I am sad to say the last several months I have had such bouts with Tremendous pain. This on was set off by my Planting some Fall Flowers last week. I am Not a Complainer and my threshold for pain is Very High. My Husband is insisting I go to our Dr. and get another MRI. I Dispise the MRI's more than Back Surgery. Those tubes even the Open MRI's make my skin Crawl. Anyway, enough about my Achy Breaky Back, We did have our Carpets cleaned this weekend and boy does the carpet look good. I did Clean a bit too. My kids made my Step Daughter a cake for her Bday and she couldnt get to our house due to a Very Horrible Truck Accident Near our house. Twenty four Semi-trucks and some Cars caught fire in a tunnel and it burned for 12 hrs. Anyway, she couldn't get to us so my

This is the Question the Sass and I go Round and round about.. Of course being a 12 year old girl in Jr. High she wants it Straight as a Pin. Also, not to mention God Gave her Gorgeous Curly hair she Wants it Pin Striaght. Of Course, the Hair came from the Mother Side of the Family where only a handful of us have that hair she wants it Pin Straight. So what does the Mother do twice a week? Flat Irons it for her. Not to mention Every Morning before school. OK, so as the Mom I completely Understand her Angst with the Hair, After all I have lived with it for 40 years.Mine has Straightened quite a bit due to babies and chemicals and who knows what else but needless to say, I do Understand. I grew up near the Beach so with the Humidity my hair always looked like I stuck my finger in the Light Socket. I as a Teen Ager had my own Ironing Board and Iron that I would Iron my own Hair. Wow, the Changing Season is BitterSweet to me. I am Done with the Heat Index between 90-100 degrees, but I do Love everything that Blooms in my Yard. So I have been Bidding a Goodbye to the Summer Blooms. The Nights are getting much Cooler and the Warm Weather Plants are feeling it. So, the last two days I have been cutting back and planting Fall and Winter Favorites. I bought the most Beautiful Very Old and Chipped Frame, that has such Pretty Detail for only $5. I was so thrilled. The man who was Running the booth had stepped away and had another man there and he said Well, $5. I swear I took it and Ran. I know in my Heart is was worth more than that. For many Years I have had a tad bit of an Obsession with Wrought Iron. We have lived in this House for Eight years Now and the Architechture of the House and Neighborhood are Spanish Style. I Really do Love so many styles of Architure but I have concentrated all the Decorating on this Style. So thru the Years I have collected so Many Wrought Iron pieces. Last January we had some Beautiful Custom Wrought Iron Gates put on the Front of our House. I Have Wrought Iron on the Front of the house and in the Pool ARea too. It adds so much to the look of the House and the Style of Architure. Along with all my other Obsessions, Shutters,Ceiling tiles,Anything Old and Chipped and so many other things, Wrought Iron has been my Faithful Friend for a Long Time...Enjoy my little OCD.. There is a Little Tradition I like to do around my Neighborhood, I make up GOODIES for a child or Children and I Annonomously leave it for them at there door. It has Become so Popular now that I even see BOO kits at Walmart or Target. Well, this year I picked two little Girls a few doors down who are also friends. There Mommy is a Teacher she tutors Sassy and is such a Delicious Baker. She is forever bringing over goodies she has baked from Scratch...Anyway, the Girls are so Cute and so Adorable they are 5 and 2 and I know they will Love this so tomorrow morning I am going to sneak it down and leave it at there door. These are all Goodies I got from the Target Dollar bins and the Michaels Dollar bins. I actually used WITCH HATS that are supposed to be for the Dog to put Everything in. I Made a "BOO" Sign too so they can put it on there door to let others know they were Boo-ed. It is kind of like a Chain letter type thing, you then Boo someone else. Well the Holiday Catalogs are Rolling in Daily. My Husband thinks there is a Conspiracy with all these Companies Sending me Catalogs!!HeHe,,,this time of year I start to get 5 to 7 a day. Anyway, I thought I would put together a compilation of Inspirations. We Do Not celebrate Christmas in our home, We Celebrat Haunukkah. So it can be Very Hard for me to find Nice Decor to put out and Enjoy every year. Most of it Paper and Crap to say the Least. Anyway, We also do a New Years Party every year too. It has become a Favorite for many and the Kids have a blast too. It is all Families and there is much fun to be had. Well, I decided a month or so Ago I would combine the Decor for Haunukkah and New Years.So I chose the color scheme of Blue,Black,White and Silver. My Pictures really do Tell Stories. I Have many,many, Photos in my house. I know many Decorators will say DO NOT use photographs as Decor. Well I have Blown that out of the Water. I Love my Photos and Proudly display them. I have some Very Old photos of relatives that to me tell lots of stories, especially for my kids. I am a Big Lover of Black and Whites. When you walk into my house there is a large wall in my Living Room that is covered in Black and Whites. My Late Father in Law was a Photographer so my Husband shares the same love. We have photos that go back many,many years. He used to take photos for the Los Angeles Times Sunday Magazine so I have a few of those. I know it is a whole month from Thanksgiving but here is what I am Thankful for. Our Home is Safe, We are Safe, Our Neighbors are Safe. I am so Greatful and Thankful to the California Firefighters, Pilots and Forrest Service. These Men and Woman are True Hero's in my Eyes. Yesterday Afternoon around 2pm The Surrounding Canyons of my Development here in Southern California went up in Flames. Due to a Sewer Pipe being installed Near Six Flags Magic Mountain and a Spark igniting a Fire, We were Packing up Anything we Deemed important. The Husband, Myself and Elijah had taken a Break and went to Eat lunch out. We came home and I sat down for two minutes to work on a Simply Me T-shirt and I see Tons of Smoke and I hear and Feel the Vibrations of The Los Angeles County Helicopters. Within five Minutes Huge Fixed wing Aircrafts are flying over along with Waterdropping Helicopters. The Sassy mouth was with a few Girlfriends getting out for lunch and trying to calm down a bit. Well after a Very Tough Week Last Week I Needed something Fun and a bit Frivelous!!
I have been wearing Converse Tennis Shoes for several years Now and Love them.. A few Years back they came out with this Slip On Style that has No laces that I Love. Anyway the Pair I bought last year actually wore out!! I mean the bottom Sole on the Right foot started to come apart. So I picked up a New pair, Brown this Year, cuz I thought it would go with lots of my Casual Clothes. Oh Yeah, I basically only wear Casual Clothes..
I decided to add some Bling and Fun to them,Since I have been working on my T's I was in the Rhinestone mood. It is Easy as Cake. Just a little E-600 glue,a little stick with some wax for picking up the Stones and your Crystals. I use Swaorski's , the color is,Light Colorado Topaz. I did the Toe,the top 3 lace holes,and the Converse Star on the Tongue and the Back of the shoe.. A day to let the Glue set and There you go!! Some Bling Bling in my Step..
