Baseball Night at Dodger
Stadium. We are big Dodger fans so, we surprised the kids and off we went. It was a Super Exciting Game, although the Dodgers lost by one run. They came back in the seventh inning and caught up. It was so fun with the kids and we all lost our voices from Screaming. We all ate too much too. What a Fun Summer evening with the Family. Tomorrow is School clothes shopping for Miss Emily and Grandma, so it will be three generations shopping at the mall for clothes. Actually, not a Pretty sight, Emily Hates whatever I like so it should be interesting, Wish me Luck. Hope everyone is having a great Weekend.

Ago My Life changed Forever. I went with my Roomate to "Happy Hour" at a local Bar and Restuarant. We did Our "Thing" and were just about to leave and In walked this Man! Well, to make a Long Story short he sent over two drinks for the both of us and the rest is History. Three and a Half years after we met we were married on the Big Island of Hawaii. He Never stops helping me with so many things. He is there every evening at 5p.m. after a 11 hour day of non-stop work to help me. Can you believe by these photos this is where I create all my Jewelry? I Swear to the "Good Lord in Heaven" that my House is Neat and Clean. You can ask my family I am a Cleaning Nut. When it comes to my work though, I am all over the place. When I Craft, I set up in the Kitchen and work my way thru the whole Downstairs like a Tornado!! Midweek Update and Thank You's 2007-08-15 08:50:00 Good Wednesday Morning, My little Man starts the Third Grade today.. Wow, time sure flies with the kids. Anyway to my suprise yesterday the Grouchy Mail Lady brought some Wonderful things to my door. I must say I was very Happy to see her. Anyway after ripping the two Envelopes open here is what I got. My Dear Friend Rosemary was the Sender of this Wonderful Envelope. I won a Giveaway she had and boy did she send me a Bountiful. It was all wrapped so Beautifully too. WEEKEND WEDDING... 2007-08-13 09:22:00 Happy Monday Friends! Well this weekend was a Full one. Parties for the Sassy Girl Errands for me and the Boys had Swimming and B-ball. We all had a Family Wedding yesterday in the Very (unusually) Hot Malibu,California. My Sister-in-Law got married. The Location was right on Pacific Coast Highway across from the Beach. It was a Jewish Orthodox Wedding so it was rather Interesting. Hubby is Jewish, but Not Orthodox. Her Fiance is very Friendly with this Rabbi, who happens to be an Orthodox Rabbi. Anyway it is Wonderful to be with the Family and the Cousins all absolutely Love to be together. My Mother-in-Law is truly the Matriarch of the Family who is so Loved. Anyway it was Very Nice and I took Lots of pics. to share with all of you. Now I want everyone who is Not from California to take Note to the Pic. of the Home above where this wedding was held. SOMETHING TO BEAT THE HEAT 2007-08-20 07:49:00 Good Monday Morning. Since it has been so HOT where I am , over 100 for about 10 days, I am doing a post to COOL down. The Heat is beginning to get me down or should I say Slow me down. I wanted a little something that would be Refreshing and Cool. These are ICEBERG Roses. I have a Hedge of them that divides our yard and Scary Neighbors yard. They are so Easy to grow and Bloom 9 Months a year. I use them around the House all the time.. If you cut them as buds just about to open they will open in the water. Easy very pretty rose and make a Wonderful Hedge.Ya know Fall is just around the Corner!!!! Today is a BIG day here in our house. Miss Sassy Girl starts Jr. High. My Gosh, I remember the day I brought her home from the Hospital. She is Extremely Nervous and Very Excited. This week will be a Challenge for us all. I will be having that Glass of Wine at 5:00 straight up , I am sure. LOL, anyway Have a Wonderful week and stay COOL.

BUTTONS GALORE 2007-08-21 20:43:00 This morning after getting my kids to school I went to my Favorite Tuesday morning place. The Flea Market. It was much more "FLEA" ra ther than "MARKET" today. LOL, anyway I did go with a Specific plan. BUTTONS.. and that I did find. The Motherload of Buttons. So Vintage and So Gorgeous. I swear one of these weeks I am going to bring my camera to photo some of the characters I buy from. These Colorful people have some great stories too. Well, there is this man and I see him there all the time, I have bought a few things from him from time to time but this week it was Great... Anyway, he was telling me a story about an Estate Sale he went to last week in the "90210" Beverly Hills for those who don't remember the Famous 90's show? SHOWERING HER WITH LOVE 2007-08-27 11:52:00 Yesterday was a Day to Shower my Sister in Law with lots of Love and Gifts for her Wedding Shower. It was a Beautiful Shower. She Loved everything and was So Happy. It was at a Lovely little Cafe near her house, we rented the whole place so it was all about her. The food was Delicious and the Cake was so Pretty. The favors were a hit and my other Sister in Law made the cutest place cards. I ate way to much food but enjoyed every bite. There was some real Excitement too, there was a big Fire in the Foothills right above the Restaurant and the Brides house. While the Super Soaker planes and Helicopters were flying over and dropping water we were eating and visiting. Only in Los Angeles would this be Normal!!!! Sassy Girl and I got our Dress's for the Wedding and they are Truly Beautiful . Although they both need some altering and about 5 pounds need to come off me , but I can do it. WHAT TO DO ON A DOG DAY AFTERNOON? 2007-08-25 19:49:00 Swim of course!!! Well, it is a Summer Right of Passage in our House here in the Ranch for my Dogs (the three stooges) to chase Dragonfly's around our Pool. Well, Inevitable one if not two fall in every Summer. Well, of course it happened to be Jesse (the golden mix) she is our Regular Swimmer. She has lost about 15 pounds this Summer and is feeling good , so after a half hour of Barking and Chasing in she went!! Luckily my Hubby and Son were having a Swim so off to the Rescue In the "RiverRat" went the man!!! After she took it a dip it was only fair the other two had there turn so it was a Swim Fest for Dogs... Anyway they all cooled down and got brushed and Perfumed and we were all Happy. Needless to say they were all Wiped out after there chase and swim. Got a quite photo of Hubby and Elijah sitting and talking after their swim. What were they discussing? DODGERS, of course. HERE COMES THE BRIDAL SHOWER 2007-08-24 11:23:00 Happy Friday to Everybody. Wow,this week has flown by. The first full week of school is down. Many more to go... I have been busy the last few days making little party Favors for my Sister-in-Law Diana's Bridal Shower on Sunday. She is getting married in October at a Lovely Place here in the Los Angeles area, Desconso Gardens. Well, my other Sister-in-laws and I are throwing her a Shower. I was in charge of Party Favors. The theme of the Wedding is Shakespere in the Park, with her colors being Emerald green,purple, red and Gold. Both Sassy and I are in the wedding too. Sassy is thrilled to pieces to be in a Wedding. Anyway, I worked for the last two weeks on a certain Party Favor and decided that it wasnt what I wanted. I think I need my Head Examined! LET THEM EAT CAKE 2007-08-29 22:37:00 My Most Favorite Show on T.V. and the most Sexiest Pastry Chef to go with it!! Does anyone else watch " ACE OF CAKES" Food Channels resident cutey and Artsy Pastry Chef. Miss Sassy Girl and her friend got me Hooked on Duff and the rest of the Gang at " Charm City Cakes". They are so Unconventional in their cakes and the Cakes are AMAZING. I Tivo it and love every second of it. He went to Culinary School and Pastry school and then opened up shop in Maryland and Hired all of his friends. Now, His friends are all Artists of some sort by trade Not Pastry Trained.Anyway it follows Duff and the Gang and their stories each week of the cakes they are working on. The Cakes are Amazing to look and Sass and I wonder every week if they taste just as good? Wouldn't you Love to Have just One Piece?
LOOK WHAT I DID WITH THE BUTTONS! 2007-08-28 12:28:00 All is well and the Button Jewels are finished. They were done last weekend I just did not have time to photo them yet. But, Alas they are in the Shop. I went to the Crazy Flea Market today and got more buttons and a bit of Great Vintage Jewels. Of course I had two convos. with some of the Colorfuls that are there. It was already over 80 at 8:45 so I went thru quick and did my stuff. I got my T-shirts from the Printer and they came out Great. I am off right now to get some Swaorski's for Embellishment. Hope everyone is staying cool and enjoying there week so far. Miss Sassy has a young man she is all Swooney(wd?) about. Dont't tell her I told ya though, Ill be in some major Hot Water. Her friend and I straightened her hair yesterday to change things up a bit. I prefer the curls, but you know the drill, always Like what you don't have. Happy Saturday, we had quite a MUCH NEEDED Rain Storm last night. It was Wonderful! We don't often get Lightning and Thunder so it was Nice!! Of course I was in my Long PJ's under my Down Comforter but I did Enjoy hearing it outside. We Need it here so Badly.. Happy Friday to all, We have Cool Weather with RAIN on the Way. Woooohooo.. We Need it here so Bad. We are a Dry Haystack waiting to go up. Anyway I am a Salvaged item kind of gal. I Have lots of Goodies from OLD Buildings,Roof,Gardens you name it. I Love Garage Sales , Flea Markets, other people's Trash , Good Will You name it. Yes, I do like Monday's here in my Neighbor hood cuz it is Trash day! Hehehe, Anyway, I have the Greatest Ceiling tin from New Orleans that I treasure. I have a Corbel from a Building in Down Town Los Angeles that is a Favorite. An old Pic. Frame from Goodwill. My big $1 purchase from a Garage Sale two years ago a Wagon Wheel. Oh, my two Shutters for $5 from the Cutest older couple out here who had them on their house from years back. My Newest find a Picket Fence that is quite Rickety but so Charming. Well, Our weather here in Southern Cali is changing, (thank goodness) so I had the Urge to make a Fall Favorite here in our house... I call it "PASTA BAKE" It is so Yummy too. On a Cool Evening it is Perfect. You can even make this ahead and keep it in the Frig. then throw it into the Oven when you get home from work or the Kids Practice.Here is the Receipe:
1-pound any Pasta cooked (I used Elbow, kids fav.)
Ground Turkey or Beef (cooked)
Sweet Onion (chopped fine)
Pasta Sauce (jar type, I used Classico Tamt. Basil)
Shredded Mozzerela Cheese (I used Low fat,could also use fat free)
Parmasean Cheese
Cook the Pasta, I like it Al-Dente, cook up the Meat, we use Ground Turkey. I use a Baking pan and Layer the Pasta then add the cooked meat.Add chopped onion and then Pasta Sauce. I Mix it all together and add Some of the Mozz. cheese. Add a layer of Parmasean Cheese and then a thin Layer of Mozzerella Cheese.
Bake it at 350 degrees for about 20 min. If the cheese starts to get to brow

Ok,Ok, I confess, My work Desk is an Absolute DISASTER again!!! Suprise,Suprise although it did stay neat and clean for almost two weeks.I was thinking a few days back as I was sitting there trying to figure out a design for a Necklace, Geesh I have way too many Jewels.. Sassy has even made Snide but true comments on how much I have. If I had more time I would definately be making Jewels and Crafts 24/7. you don't Even know what i deal with i have tourette syndrome.
have you ever walked up to somone and said are you going to start yelling out bad words? that's what tv makes it look like. in my case on a scale of one to ten my tourette's is about a six. i will normally roll my eyes,pop my arm out of its socket,crack my neck and my knuckles and lift my eye brows.
school has never been easy for me i have always needed extra help
from the minute i get home i struggle trying to get my homework done.
in the last year in a half i have become very comfortable and confident
my friends will ask me if i get annoyed by my tourette's i tell them i have gotten so comfortable that i barely know i have it.
remember to give people a chance before you judge them!

Hi My Name is Jamie and I am a TARGET ADDICT! Hehe, ok, Im not that bad? Anyway, was in there Friday picking up the little guy some pants and Soon as I walk in I of course have to hit those $1 bins. Not sure if every Target has them but I bet most do. Anyway I hit some great stuff for Halloween and fall and Shower stuff for ME. I Like to make a few BOO kits for the little kids here in my neighborhood so I found some fun goodies to include in them. Just wanted to share and tell each and everyone of you to hit Target this week and get to those Bins!! I am also throwing in a few pics. of these WONDERFUL bags I found at a small store near my house. I have the Packing tape to match so I got the bags for the Holidays. Good Morning and SHANA TO VAH (Happy Jewish New Year) Today is a Celebration here in our home.Today begins the year 5768 on the Jewish Calendar. The Holiday is Called "RoshHaShanah" and it is a Celebration of the begining of a New Year. It is In Judism the Day in which God created Man.Jews around the World celebrate by going to Temple and begining a 10 day long period of Repentance. The Holidays will end in 10 days with Yom Kippur which is the Holiest of all Jewish days. The children bring what is Called a Shofar (Rams Horn) to Temple today to Blow which helps ring in the New year, similar to Noise Makers on New Years Eve. It is a Happy Day and a Celebration. Another fun Custom we like to do is have cut apples and dip them in Honey to symbolize a Sweet New Year. I was born and raised a Catholic but stopped practicing when I was a Teenager. I met and Fell in love with the most Wonderful Jewish man and together we decided when we had kids they absolutely needed a Spiritual backround. H

Well, busy here in my Casa as Usual. Been Creating lots of Jewelry from all my Flea market Goodies and others too. My Mind is always going lately with Jewelry Designs. I also got a Bug about picture frame art! I have always love Leopard print anything so I got the Bug that I had to put it into picture frames and Add some Vintage Bling....Well., Miss Sassy Girl decided at her Sleep Over the other night to Add some Red to her Lovely Blonde Head of Curly Hair!! What the He** can I say, Duh,,,, Sassy Sharpie is PERMANENT! I actually don't think it looks that Bad, But dont ever tell her that. I told her she should put it in with the changes of Seasons!!! She did NOT think that was too funny. She told me that she counted 62 people asked her about her hair at school, Including all her teachers... She is putting me in an Early Grave I Swear to it...
