Blades of Exile source code released
2007-05-20 10:30:00
Older RPG fans will remember Blades of Exile by Spiderweb software, a top-down isometric sprite based role-playing game (gasps for air) from way back in 1997. The game is so old that its source code is now being offered for fans to tinker with, free. So, a little piece of RPG history has died its commercial death and passed into the hands of its users. Let me know if you see anything

Friday Q&A #1
2007-05-18 03:39:00
How it works: use the comments form of this post to ask me any RPG-related question. Stuck in a particular area of Dungeon Seige? Ask me. Got a bug in the Shivering Isles? Ask me. Want to know what the average review score of Baldur's Gate 2 was? Ask me. And so on. If it's related to RPGs - even vaguely - I'll answer your question to the best of my abilities. How you will get your answer: I'll

The site is ConceptArt.org, and it contains a gallery of several hundred pieces of (really good) artwork. Some suggested uses: Use a piece as concept art for your RPG character.Inspiration for modders.Inspiration for world-builders.Motivate your inner

Visit the official site to view the previous two bits of concept art and listen to the game's title score. What is that strange, space-ship looking thing? It's an aircraft carrier. How do I know this? The title of the image is carrier_m.jpg - and the folks at the Fallout forum seem to think it is. Yes, I don't really know what an aircraft carrier looks like. I'm a sensitive role-player - don't

2007-05-14 09:25:00
I don't want to make a big deal out of this, as it's pretty clear what this site is dedicated to. So, here's a few basic facts to get us started. I'm the only person working on this site, and thus its content will inevitably reflect my taste. I'm at university full-time, and I don't get paid
