Killing Kottu?…Plans for shutting down Sri Lankas Blogosphere! 2007-03-31 19:01:00 Met up with Mahanghu a.k.a “Big Shit” at barefoot a few days back and I was sad and shocked to hear that Kottu was being shut down. At first I laughed and said no one could shut down Kottu but then Ghu explained the situation and this somber sort of mood set in.Apparently Kottu’s Parent hosting servers “Dreamhost” were being shut down by Wordpress due to technical problems (Clogging up of the dreamhost sever-series) so all blogs / feed-readers / Metablogs that depend on those particular servers were effectively being closed down.
