Fiberglass and Resin 2007-11-29 01:09:47 My surfboard is woven of millions of tiny threads of wisdom, cemented by the love with which I am gratefully surrounded. Without it I could not withstand the endless pounding of the waves – ultra-strangeness in the world, as well as in my own life. My toes grab hold, the wax which is my faith keeps them from slipping…and yet, the sharp edges of the reef beckon, and these shores are rocky. Surfer’s hell, they call it. An apt phrase, some days.
The focus it takes to stay upright and balanced is not easy, especially as the noose tightens. And the sharks are circling. (thanks for the warning, Cadeveo) But what choice do we have? We must remain, trapped in this physical drama, until the ending unfolds. And yet there is no reason for fear, at all. For those hungry for more insight, check out this great discussion between two of my favorite thinkers, William Henry and Daniel Pinchbeck, at YouTube. Or how about an article on the New Pyramid Age by Phillip Copp Read more:Resin

Had a nice day at the beach today following days and days of stormy weather here after a ‘Kona low‘ hit the state. Check out some photos of the damage. Felt kind of like the phantom hurricane we were supposed to have in back in August. Blizzards on Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa, flash floods on Maui (though some still found a way to have fun – click on “Maui’s kind of couch surfing” at CNN video), power outages, school closings, disaster declaration and high surf that washed away all the sand at several of our favorite spots. Glad to finally see the sun again, though even today it’s still windy.
I understand the Northwest also suffered similar weather-related disasters last week, as did Australia. In Ireland, surfers defied unusually giant waves for the ride of a lifetime. And I’m crying hurriquake again in Fiji, which got hit with a cyclone and a 7.8 earthquake.
Here’s a PDF article about HAARP and weather warfare, “Beware the US mili Read more:Notes
Global Warning? 2007-12-20 01:29:55 Climate change is in the news. And it’s not just the UN Climate Change Commission in Bali, which recently completed negotiations for its new Bali Roadmap, the successor pact to the Kyoto Protocols regarding greenhouse gas emissions, slated to go into effect in 2013. News about all sorts of crazy weather patterns and climate-related disasters seems to be dominating much of the mainstream. Devastating floods and droughts worldwide. Rising sea levels. Wicked storms. Sunburns in Antarctica. Italy’s woodlands dying. The vanishing of the bees - here’s a trailer for a documentary about that. At this point few are denying that there is something going on. But when Presidential candidates are lining up for the opportunity to use climate change to their advantage, and when Rupert Murdoch is vocally pushing the issue on us, I must cry fnord.
What’s causing the apparent changes is up for debate everywhere except in the mainstream, which insists global w Read more:Global

Hear voices in your head? 2007-12-22 20:10:45 Just passing on the interesting new advertising strategy called Audio Spotlight - beaming words straight into our brains…
Sounds a great deal like the Voice of God weapon, LRAD, reportedly used by the military and now some police forces. If such things sound to incredible to be true, welcome to a brave new world indeed. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The military’s Active Denial System has been in the news too; this pain ray is becoming all the rage. Check out the Advanced Tactical Laser now being installed in Boeing C-130s. Reminds me of that silly movie from the ’80s with Val Kilmer, Real Genius.
There also seems to be a little more information coming out about military uses for HAARP according to this article.
Here’s a fun link to some weird hypno-mind control gadgets; on the other hand, many of us aren’t too happy about these new, invasive technologies. One group in Britain has gone so far as to systematica
Daniel Brenton: “We Know Why the Aliens Really Don’t Land” 2008-02-27 13:01:37

Asleep at the controls in Hawaii, or hyperdimensional vortice? 2008-02-22 14:31:24 Here in Hawaii
at least, you can’t have missed the bizarre news that two go! airlines pilots seem to have fallen asleep and overshot their landing in Hilo. This happened over a week ago on February 13. Today it was announced those offending pilots had been suspended. For a thirty or so [...]
An eclipse, a meteor, a satellite and a couple of earthquakes 2008-02-20 19:51:34 Following up on yesterday’s post about the satellite shoot down, I can’t help but notice all the synchronicities that seemed to line up in the news. My sixth sense is whispering; something is going on.

Satellite Shoot-out: Deploying Sea-based X-band radar 2008-02-18 22:20:20 Will we ever really know the whole truth behind the government’s plans to shoot down that rogue satellite? The Pentagon’s explanation includes concern about a toxic gas cloud exploding over a populated area. Other analysts scoff at this, according to Noel Shachtman’s excellent blog at Danger Room, saying the likelihood that it would [...] Read more:Satellite

Time Travel Futures 2008-02-12 04:24:24 “Scientists say that time travel could be a reality in just three months.”
Notwithstanding that unapologetically paradoxical statement, one cannot help but entertain vivid Dr. Who fantasies of a blue phone booth swirling and landing in the neighborhood. Is it really time?

The Political Charade, Act I: Sheep on a Merry-Go-Round 2008-02-06 22:15:29 Neatly coinciding with the programming void left by the Hollywood writer’s strike, the primary elections have taken on the buzz and excitement normally reserved for the best reality TV shows. Final prize: the Presidency of the United States. Who will get eliminated this week??

Notes from the Surf XVII 2008-02-04 15:50:44 You may sneer, but our weather here in Hawaii has been much colder than usual this winter. We’ve had several large and destructive storms, and Hilo is getting ravaged again right now. And it’s the same story all over the world. Is it global warming, the next ice age, or maybe Planet X? What about [...] Read more:Notes

Planet X, the Man on Mars, and Heath Ledger 2008-01-22 23:25:44 I am consistently brought back again and again to thoughts of Planet X. It seems no matter where I look these days, something or someone is reminding me of the warnings I’ve had in my own spirit now for many years, and it seems to be accelerating. Notes from the Surf XIX 2008-03-31 00:56:50 Pele is on the move out here. The vog is getting really bad. And in another unprecedented event, Kilauea is releasing steam from what is being called juvenile water, which has never been seen before anywhere on the planet.

Something wicked… 2008-05-14 03:39:36 Just noting again the hurriquake synchronicity, with a deadly earthquake in China within days of a devastating cyclone in Myanmar.
