Look it, If I can do this — Thistle Pinch — then there is surely hope for all!
D-A-W
You’ve seen that acronym before, haven’t you? (perhaps at the top of this page). A DAW is a dedicated piece of software built solely for recreating a professional recording studio in your computer. Go to any online music shop and type in “music recording software” and anything from 12 to 190 different options appear. Digidesign’s Pro-Tools 7.3 (HD and LE systems), Ableton’s LIVE 6, Steinberg’s Cubase 4, Propellerheads Reason 3, Apple’s Logic Pro, Cakewalk’s Sonar 6 — I would like to go on and on and on as the options are boundless, and the only limitations are your software platform and your wallet.

Tim Roth Cast in ‘Hulk’ Sequel 2007-05-10 05:19:58 “Mr. Orange” is gonna be donning CGI green for Louis Leterrier’s The Incredible Hulk reboot.
Variety reports that Tim &lsquo
;Pumpkin’ Roth is in negotiations to play Emil Blonsky — a KGB agent who purposely exposes himself to a double dose of the same type of gamma radiation that transformed Bruce Banner into the Incredible Hulk. These gamma RADS transform Blonsky into Abomination — a, um, green hulking monstrosity who has immense strength and healing powers.
Abomination is rated at more than two times stronger than the Hulk, but unfortunately for Blonsky that only holds true while *Hulk Actual* isn’t really that mad. Meaning that while Abomination may be twice as strong as happy Hulk, his strength is static, unlike the Hulk who’s strength increases perpetually as he becomes angry.
I think the formula is like:

Movie Review: Spider-Man 3 2007-05-09 05:42:06 Right off the bat, I’ll tell you that Spider
-Man 3 is a two hour and thirty-six minute juggling act that is predicated on a series of hokey coincidences that are poorly edited together. There are a lot of characters in this movie and unfortunately they ALL suffer from the dopey structure of this script.
The audience learns very little about the film’s two new villains. To add insult to injury, The Sandman character (who looks as though he was made of clumping cat litter) is even given the most used up plot device that has become inherent in most comic book films. I’m talking about “Dance With The Devil In The Pale Moonlight” syndrome, as it is discovered that it was actually The Sandman who fired the gun that killed Peter Parker’s Uncle Ben. This was of course the event that defines Spider-Man. Read more:Movie Review
Movie Review: The King of Kong 2007-05-09 04:17:23 In the past five years or so gaming has been building momentum as an organized competitive sport. (Spare me, please, the debate about whether gaming is a sport.) Tournaments of real-time strategy games like Starcraft are nationally televised in South Korea, and there are even professional gamers who earn upwards of six figures per year from winnings and endorsements. But even as contemporary gaming becomes more mainstream, the gaming heroes of the past have slipped into obscurity. Truth be told, they never really climbed their way out of obscurity.
One of the biggest of these old school arcade champions is Billy Mitchell, a hot-sauce salesman who held the Donkey Kong high score for over 20 years. In the documentary The King of Kong, which was screened last week at the Tribeca Film Festival, Mitchell must face his first serious challenger for the Donkey Kong crown. Read more:Movie Review
Fiesta Week 2007 2007-05-09 00:15:45 Well, it’s the end of Fiesta
in good old San Antonio, TX. Fiesta is a 10-day city-wide annual event held in April when the city goes crazy with parties and music and food.
The city closes down for one day — usually the 1st day of Fiesta which usually falls on a Friday — so the people can go nuts for this party with festivals are held throughout the area in different venues.
My favorite part of Fiesta is the last day and the Fiesta Pooch Parade. This is when all the dog lovers all over San Antonio come out and bring their dogs dressed up for this event. To me, this is the best venue or event of Fiesta, because if you are a dog lover like myself you get to see all types of dogs and get to meet all types of people.

The LEGO Testament 2007-05-07 07:54:05 If choosing between Sunday School and LEGO blocks was difficult for you as a child, The Brick Testament
may just be the Web site for you. The premise is simple. Take passages of the Old and New Testaments of the Holy Bible and act them out in series of dioramas of LEGO blocks.
Be warned: this is not a wholly reverent interpretation. The author, The Reverend Brendan Powell Smith, is actually an artist, author, and atheist, although he does hold a degree in Philosophy & Religion from Boston University. Some of the humor in the site is meant to be slightly controversial, no doubt.
Mostly, it is all just good clean LEGO fun… well except for the sex, the violence, and the nudity (all according to the text of the Bible). Some of the material is probably not what was usually covered in Sunday School. As LEGO art, however, it is simply amazing.
New Stardust Poster 2007-05-07 05:30:57 Kung Fu Rodeo has posted a new poster/ad for Stardust that appeared in this weekend’s LA Times.
In the film, based on the best-selling novel by Neil Gaiman (and I strongly suggest you read it!), the young Tristan (Charlie Cox) goes on a mysterious quest to a magical realm to retrieve a fallen star to win the heart of Victoria (Sienna Miller) and encounters dangers of the most unusual kind. Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert De Niro, and Claire Danes also star.
And that’s all I’m going to say about the premise, because truthfully, I don’t understand why all the official descriptions give away a major reveal. With that, for more info and a look at the trailer and production photos, visit the movie’s Yahoo! page or the official Stardust Web site.
Stardust opens in theaters August 10.

02.03.04.05.06.07 2007-05-04 19:33:24 Prophetic numerations?
Geeks, hear me now. On Sunday the sixth of May, in the great year of our G.o.D two thousand and seven, at the best moment of the party - that being two hours, three minutes, and four seconds in the good old Ante Meridiem (as apposed to Amplitude Modulation) — this is what the date and time will look like:
This will never ever ever ever ever happen again (except elsewhere in the world where the day comes before the month as one describes the date — and I guess in 100 years).
Mind you, you could say that about any date and time down to the very second, but it will not seem half as interesting as this, will it geeks? (he said, rhetorically)
10.10.10.10.10.10 is the one I’m really waiting for!

First Look: Iron Man Mark III Suit 2007-05-02 19:08:15 EW has a sneak peek at the Iron Man
cybernetic Mark III suit, which Robert Downey Jr will don in the Jon Favreau-directed feature film.
Downey bulked up to wear the red and gold armor, created by Oscar-winning F/X master Stan Winston. Favreau said of the star wearing the restrictive, sweaty costume:
“Robert was very bullish on wearing the suit whenever possible … Now I don’t know if he’s such a fan of that idea.”
In Iron Man, Downey plays millionaire industrialist Tony Stark, who creates the high-tech armor to fight villains after suffering a life-threatening heart injury in war-torn Afghanistan. (See photo of Downey forging the armor and the resulting Mark I gray suit.)
