In His Kiss - Captain Jack Harkness
2007-06-27 16:42:03
This is one of my favorite YouTube videos. Yes… I love John Barrowman.. and his alter ego, Captain Jack Harkess from Torchwood and Doctor Who. I just can’t wait for the next season of Torchwood but it’s not until next year! Check this out… oooo

Slow Days
2007-06-27 12:28:46
The last couple of days have been nice and slow. A good relief. Since I’ll be making a 5 hour drive Saturday Morning to St. George. I don’t think the motel I’ll be staying in will have internet, so I’ll be leaving my laptop at home and will update my blogs when I get back. I did end up straightening up the house quite well, and it makes me happy. I haven’t dusted, but I’ve uncluttered. And lack of clutter is a good thing. I’ll take some pics and post them when I get off my but and go upstairs… if I don’t forget. I still need to unclutter my spare bedroom. I think I’m going to pull out the PC that is in there, and make it a real spare bedroom instead of computer room/junk room. And then maybe I’ll get some home furniture for the room, too. Like a dresser. I could even keep my clothes in there, since the one in my own bedroom is so small. And maybe some of my husband’s clothes will fit, too.

See the Transformers Movie for Free!
2007-07-02 21:26:28
This movie looks completely fun. I love action adventures, they are my favorite (yeah more so than love stories). When I was a kid (yes I’m a girl, but I played with cars) I had some of the transformer action figures and they were super fun. I could confuse my parents with them. And as we speak, I’m watching an ad for this movie on the TV. And the more I read about the Transformer Movie, the better it sounds. I have seen transformer the movie trailer, and it is amazing. It’s not even in theaters by me yet! I want to see a lot of movies this summer, and this one is going to the very top of my list. And if you want to win six movie passes and $240.00. It’s free to sign up for the contest. The transformer movie looks like it has some awesome special effects. I love good special effects when they go with a good story. So I’m looking forward to checking this one out and having fun in the theaters. Because some movies you just gotta see in the theater.

Making Money
2007-07-02 19:26:31
As you guys know I am blogging for money now. My main blogging for money blog is Tip Tail. But I hope to get this one going soon, as well as my dream diary Pixie Tail. Anyway just a quick report. I downloaded my paypal payments from June.. and I made a total of $513.46! That is so awesome! My husband teased me for blogging for money, but hey, he’s not teasing anymore. All these earnings have been sent from PayPal to Utah Collie Rescue, Inc., to help out the collies.

Integrity
2007-07-02 11:18:53
Integrity is very important to me. My own personal integrity. It is something I strive for. I think it is something I feel a lot of anxiety about, too. I feel as though if other people don’t think I have integrity, then I don’t have much value. So what is integrity to you? To me… a quote comes to mind. It’s when what you do, and what you say you do, match most of the time. Wikipedia says it “is the basing of one’s actions on an internally consistent framework of principles.” I think it’s when you are consistent to yourself, and to others. So you don’t tell one person one thing, and tell someone else something that conflicts with what you just said. Being codependent, this is difficult for me. Why? Because my initial reaction is to agree with people. And sometimes I might agree with two different people who are saying two opposite things. Or I can agree with a criticism of someone that, in truth, I don’t agree with. Or I c

No Desire
2007-07-02 10:55:39
Once again today is another day where I just want to sit on the couch all day long and blog. Day off today. Though I need to get 2 hours work in to cover the holiday this week. When I get off my but and start doing things, I’m okay. But when I sit on the couch I just don’ care. It’s either the Zoloft or it’s the fact that I’ve been running myself ragged with the dogs lately and just need to slow down. Our yard is pretty much a mess this year. My lack of desire coupled with my busy dog schedule. My husband keeps it watered, and the garden growing, but other than that it’s a bit weedy. Someday I want to fix it up, if we live here long enough. Maybe put in a outdoor fireplace so we can hang out and roast marshmallows. I love being outdoors. Day 13

I Won on Blingo
2007-07-01 22:03:15
Too fun. I just typed in a search about 10 minutes ago on Blingo (I use Blingo instead of Google), and I won a movie ticket! I’m excited. A friend invited me, so I hope she gets one, too. Too fun. I haven’t won anything in a long time. It’s kinda ironic, because my husband and I just got back from seeing Pirates of the Carribean about two hours ago. LOL I should have won it before we went!

I Fixed Comment Email Responder AGAIN!
2007-06-30 22:10:55
Okay I have been sitting at my laptop for about 4 hours because it has bugged me to absolutely no end that the Comment Email Responder plug was not working Firefox, but was working in IE. Arrrrgghh! I finally figured it out! After trying many differnet things, I figured out it was a setting in the css class that was messing it up. The position: relative; was screwing up the link, so it wasn’t even a link. I really don’t know why, I don’t know CSS that well. But I really don’t care why… though if I knew why maybe I could have fixed it faster. Either way, I took that out and woo hoo! Works now!

Disproportionate
2007-06-30 12:15:58
My therapist was telling me something the last few sessions that really made me look at myself. It’s my initial reactions to things. And I’ve been thinking, because of this club thing I’ve been dealing with lately, how I automatically react to conflict and confrontation. I don’t like how I react. I react like a child. My initial reaction is to feel like my life, my soul, my very self, is threatened, and I might die. I cower like a beaten puppy. I cry. I want to run and hide. Other people will lash out with anger, or a snappy hurtful reply. So it’s interesting to see how people react. My therapist tells me that I am probably hard-wired to be the way I am. And I will have to learn how to accept it, and perhaps how to reduce the time frame it takes me to switch from death, to acceptance, to I’m okay my life is not over and I can deal with this just fine. I have many things in my life that I think will cause my life to fall apart. And good crap, I

I am Ravenclaw

I am a Pansy
2007-06-29 15:55:52
Well, I took the bull by the horns and I think I’m going to pay for it emotionally in a week or so. Because although I act tough, really I’m a big pansy. But I like pansies, they are pretty flowers don’t you think? LOL Anyway, hopefully my emotional stamina will hold up to the task. And I have support, so that is a good thing. And it’s a good thing I did, really. I’m trying to make something better instead of just bailing out. And I know… those who are established don’t like change, so we’ll see how it goes. But I figure I owe it to all the suffragettes who did so much for women’s rights all those years ago. And hopefully I won’t need to go to any drug rehabs after I get through this… as emotional trials are difficult for me. But hey, it’s my hobby, it’s not like it’s rocket science or anything! And I have my own personal meds to help me out and use as a tool I can lean on. And I think they are h

Blogathon 2007
2007-07-05 19:26:25
Okay I signed up! Do you know what Blogathon is? It’s when we stay up, for 24 hours, and post a blog post every 30 minutes. Ugh. It’s going to be killer. Especially the older I get, the more I hate staying up at night. But I’m doing it for Utah Collie Rescue, Inc. So if you will pledge for me, trusting I will stay up and complete this, the donations will all go to Utah Collie Rescue! I’ll have more information on where to donate once my blog is approved for the blogathon. So come back and check it out! If you need to mail a check in, I can give you an address, instead of donating with paypal. Just don’t forget to put it in your Mailboxes!

Reading in the Loo
2007-07-05 16:40:50
Okay, everyone has done it on occasion… you bring a magazine or a book into the bathroom, and you sit and you read a little bit. Right? A friend of mine used to say he was going to the Library. LOL. Anyway, so the other day I’m in the loo and I’m reading… blogs on my laptop. My husband came by and said it might be time for an intervention. Am I that addicted? LOL most likely! So, have you had your laptop on your lap in the loo? And why is it called the loo anyway?

I’m not arguing that with you!
2007-07-04 21:16:56
Oh my gosh, I just had to post about this. Joe Vs. the Volcano is on TV right now, in HD, and it is sooo stinking funny I can’t handle myself. “I know he can get the job, but can he do the job? I’m not arguing that with you!” There are so many priceless lines in this show I just love it. One of my favorites goes something like “I’ve done in 3 years what i could have done in 6 months at this job..” no no, not that I can relate to that. “You think I feel good? Nobody feels good. I don’t let it bother me, I don’t let it interfere with my job…” ROFL

8 Things About Me
2007-07-04 20:26:26
Well, I’ve been tagged by Laurigami to do 8 things about me. The Rules: “Each person posts the rules before their list, then they list 8 things about themselves. At the end of the post, that person tags and links to 8 other people and then visits those peoples’ sites and comments letting them know that they have been tagged, and to come read the post, so they know what they have to do.” I love dogs! But everyone knows that. I turned 40 years old this year. My favorite food is Pesto, I can eat it straight even without pasta. I probably eat more dog hair than I do food. A couple of years ago I dropped 20 pounds. I want to keep it all off! My eyes are blue and my hair is dark blonde (is that two things?). I wear rigid gas permeable contacts. Wind is Evil. I would love to live on a deserted island somewhere with dogs and no peole. I will tag some people… will edit this post when I do! Fionas 101 Things Blog The Pensieve Greta Christina

DVD Burning Software
2007-07-04 19:50:18
It’s not easy to find a good software to burn videos to DVD! Ugh! I need one, and if anyone comes here and can recommend something, please let me know. I have some xvid avi’s that I want to burn, as well as some home movies I took with my new camcorder. I have Pinnacle Studio 10, but the audio is not synced to the video, and I cannot select menu selections going down on my DVD player. Hrmph. I need to be able to have a menu so I can decide what I want to watch. I want to put my agility videos on DVD and give them to my friends.. I have some clips of their dogs too. My options are Roxio, Nero, and Ulead MovieFactory. I downloaded the free trial of MovieFactory and am burning as we speak. I think it will actually do what I want, but I want to make sure. And Roxio and Nero don’t seem to have free trials. Ugh! What to use… I dunno.

Audio Books
2007-07-04 16:43:53
I have been doing a ton of driving lately to agility trials around and about. Las Vegas, Rigby Idaho… and I’m going to Dog Camp in September in Tahoe, which is at least a nine hour drive for me. And on these drives I love listening to Books on CD. Usually I listen to Harry Potter but I’ve been listening to them too much and need something new. So in order to find new audiobooks I’ve been looking into the Booksfree website. They are a site where you can rent books over the internet. They send them to you, you read them, and then you send them back. It’s a great idea. I love to read and would love to have a steady stream of books coming in. I would really like the Audio Book idea even more. Because I don’t really want to own them. (Well most of them.) I’d rather just borrow them, listen, then return them. They have a very clean, well laid out website. Easy to find titles, a nice FAQ for answers to common questions, and it has a good look and

I Reply
2007-07-03 20:04:49
I have a headache and I think I’m going to just go watch a couple episodes of Doctor Who. But before I do, I thought I’d post about this new idea. Gummy the Alien… errr, well, or his creator, has started a new idea that I really like. Whenenver someone comments on this blog, I try to reply. He he, maybe it should be I try to reply, instead of I reply. But I think I’m pretty good at replying. I like readers to know that I appreciate their visit and their comment, and I hope they will come back. So I snagged this great I Reply button and put it on my sidebar. So I hope you will leave a comment during your visit and I will do my best to reply!

Happy July Holiday
2007-07-03 17:16:10
Happy Fourth of July tomorrow. I will probably be around blogging. I’m making an effort to take it easy and be a bum and not do anything at all. Or so I can hope. Sleep in, relax, and do whatever I want. I love being a bum sometimes, and lately I’ve been so busy that I just need more down days to relax and destress!

Next Tattoo
2007-07-10 16:47:46
I made my appointment for my next Tattoo. I’m going to get it done on Monday at 12:30 PM. He said it shouldn’t take more than an hour and a half, since it’s just an outline. Which is good because at 4:00 PM I’m going to see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix with my hubby and friends! Woo Hoo! Should be fun. Still not sure I liked Goblet of Fire that much. It went by too fast. Movie III is still my favorite. Book V is my favorite book, so we’ll see how they make that into a movie.

Coupons are the Best
2007-07-09 16:34:02
Coupons are wonderful. They save us money. They give us the opportunity to shop for things and save when otherwise we would just get into my debt. I hate debt! So I look for coupons, and I love online coupons. I do a lot of shopping online, and so getting coupons online is a bonus. A great place to do this is couponchief.com. And, as you know, my last post was just about tattoos and navel piercing. And these guys have coupons for a place called Body Candy, and they offer body jewelry. Once I get my navel pierced, I’m going to want to find some fun navel rings to put in it. After it heals up, of course.

Tatooed!
2007-07-09 15:44:45
Well I finally decided what I want as my next tattoo. This is my first tattoo that I have on my left Ankle. I got it back in May of 2005. And I love it. I love the design and I love the color. So I’ve been wanting another tattoo for a long time. I wanted something dog related, but I couldn’t figure out what. A friend suggested I get the smooth collie logo on Smooth Collies .net, and I though geesh, how come I didn’t think of that myself! The logo is on that page. I’ve tried contacting the author but with no luck, so I hope it’s okay with him. I’m not going to have any color, though, just a black outline. And probably get ‘Levi’ written next to it. I’m excited. I’ll have it done next Monday. And I hope to get my navel re-pierced, too. It didn’t heal right last time, when I had it done about 10 years ago. So I’ll try again.

Making that Call
2007-07-09 15:25:22
The new phone technology that is coming out nowadays is completely amazing. When I travel, I bring along a phone card for emergencies. And usually I can get a better price with a phone card than just calling collect or calling directly. Especially having long distance phone cards is useful. I do travel quite a bit now, going to so many agility trials. Pingo has great rates for long distance phone cards, and when you sign up you get $5.00 in free calls. That’s a great promotion. And if you sign up, and you refer someone and they sign up, you get $15 with the affiliate program. Pingo is one of the largest carriers of international VoIP phone calls in the world, so if they have so many customers, they have to be good. When I was in Germany back in 2002, I used my phone card every time I called home to talk to my husband. It made the calling easy. I don’t know if a cell phone would have even worked over there, and I didn’t have one at the time, anyway. So it was nice to use the ph

Busy Day
2007-07-08 20:09:00
Ugh, I’m tired. After cleaning out that room yesterday I was completely tired last night. And today was run around day for myself and my husband. We went to church this morning (yuck - I haven’t been for over 10 years, I don’t believe in organized religion) because the husband’s Dad and StepMom are going on a Mormon Mission for a year and a half. So we went, I knitted, and we listened. It actually wasn’t too bad. The feeling in the church was very happy and pleasant and loving. People love community like that. I like it sometimes, but I prefer my quiet time at home with my family, human and canine. I was quite chatty and relaxed at the family gathering that came afterwards. The Zoloft helps me so much. It’s amazing. I would usually be stressed and anxious, my SA kicks in big time. But I wasn’t bad at all. I ate too much, too much dessert especially, and was glad to leave when we were done, but I wasn’t so anxious that my voice went mon

Her Fab Life
2007-07-08 19:59:02
I have joined a number of social networking communities on the web and I have met some great and fun people. I’m always looking for new and exciting communities to enjoy. And this one is quite interesting. It’s called Her Fab Life and it’s devoted to women who want to find style, fashion, restaurants, and fun placed to hang out in the cities. I see that Salt Lake City is not listed, however! Well, perhaps when I’m traveling I’ll find some information about where I’m going. So if you are interested in this resource for women, check it out.

Eggplant and a Clean Room
2007-07-07 21:37:10
Okay, I’m a slob. I’ve admitted it before, I’ll admit it again. Not only that, but I am awful at organizing. This, too, is because when I try I get too anxious. Instead of doing things slowly, and thinking them out, I rush through and toss things willy-nilly all over the place. Probably the perfectionist in me again. We have a spare bedroom, and usually it’s where I put things I don’t know what else to do with them. When I clean out the room, I find old mail that I have no idea what I was thinking when I saved it. I should have just thrown it all out. I find old papers, messy books, dog toys and leashes… among other things. Anyway, the Husband and I cleaned it out today. I took down my computer that was in there, and the table it was on. The only thing I used that computer for was to power my web cam. We are going to set up the very old laptop to do that instead. So now, it really is a spare bedroom! And we can have people stay in it when they c

Only a Week to Go!
2007-07-07 21:00:15
I haven’t been thinking about Harry Potter much lately, because if I did, I’d get too darn excited. I can’t believe book 7 is coming out so soon, only a couple of weeks. And Movie Five is coming out next week! I’m not going to go to the movie premier this year. I have an agility trial next weekend. But I am going to go to the midnight book release party and get me a book. That weekend I won’t be blogging much, because I’ll be reading. And I’m an HP nut so I’m excited to find out the answers to so many questions! I still think Petunia is a witch who refuses to use her powers. I still think Daniel Radcliffe is a rotten actor. I’m watching II on the TV right now, Chamber of Secrets… and I just really don’t like his acting! Though he’s better as he gets older. Maybe if he wore a pair of motorcycle sunglasses it would help his acting!

Relaxing Causes me Anxiety
2007-07-07 17:35:50
Get this… when I try to relax, I get anxiety. Less so being on drugs, but it’s weird. If I try to meditate or do relaxation techniques, the mere thought of it brings up a lot of anxiety in me. I avoid things like that, then, even though I’ve heard and read that it can help so much. For relaxation I watch TV or blog on the computer. Or knit. I wonder that anything that sets me into a structure, that I feel like I must do, causes anxiety. And if I must relax, that triggers it. Maybe relaxing isn’t good for me then. I’m not sure if I should push through it, or just not do it if I don’t want to. Hrm.
