Olympus FE-250 Review by Digital Camera Review 2007-05-15 06:42:14
“The FE-250 is the best performing model in the current FE lineup. While its image quality results are similar to the other models, it has the best overall operation speed. In particular, card access times are much better than its siblings. Otherwise, the FE-250 still has the slim, well-constructed metal body of the other FE cameras and all of the features that make it very usable for entry level users, like the built-in Guide system and plenty of on-screen help and descriptions.”

Olympus Mju 770SW Review by PhotographyPress 2007-05-15 06:41:42 Olympus
Mju 770SW Review at PhotographyPress, The 770's 7.1-megapixel sensor is the same as that from the 725 and it is pleasing Olympus resisted the temptation to cram in more pixels; the image quality from the 725 is repeated here. Styling, ergonomics and handling are all good although I can't help thinking, the small controls and buttons will be a challenge for a diver wearing gloves in the gloom at 30-feet underwater, so pre-setting the camera is probably the answer, but this limits the usability at depth or when wearing gloves in the cold or example.

Nikon Coolpix P5000 Review by CNET 2007-05-15 06:41:15 “With cutting-edge capabilities like face-priority autofocus, optical image stabilization, and full-resolution sensitivity settings as high as ISO 2000 to augment its manual and semimanual exposure options, the P5000 fits some mighty attractive features into its 8.1-ounce, 3.9×2.5×1.6 inches (WHD) frame. Though only the front of the chassis uses magnesium alloy in its design, the camera feels quite sturdy. Its smallish, rubberized grip and thumb rest make the P5000 quite comfortable for one-handed shooting.”

Palm Treo 755p Review - SlashGear 2007-05-15 05:23:43 Palm Treo
755p Review - SlashGear, Straight out of the box, the Treo 755p syncs with Mac (via iSync or Palm Desktop) and PCs (with Palm Desktop or Microsoft Outlook). However, Mac owners cannot use it as a modem on Sprint's EV-DO network. Why? Mac users must connect using Bluetooth, which drastically slows down to about 250 to 400 Kbps versus 800 to 1,100 Kbps when hooked up to a PC using Sprint's Connection Manager. Palm recognizes this issue with the Treo's Bluetooth 1.2 stack, which is too slow to take advantage of the EV-DO speed. I find that his is adequate speed for casual surfing, instant messaging and checking emails.

Palm Treo 755p Review by Brighthand 2007-05-15 05:23:39 Palm Treo
755p Review - Brighthand, The 755p features a 1.3 megapixel camera/camcorder module. Like the Treo 680 and 750 models, the camera sits in the rear of the device and near where you would place your fingers.
The camera interface is the same as what is found on the Treo 680. Simply put, you get buttons to take a picture and whether to set the zoom 1x or 2x. Nothing complicated there.
Shutter speed is increased, and the default setting is that the shutter sound is not made.

i-mate JAQ3 Review by LaptopMag 2007-05-15 05:22:08 i-mate JAQ3 Review by LaptopMag, With a combination of features rarely found in one smart phone, including a touchscreen display, QWERTY keyboard, and 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, the i-mate JAQ3 certainly impresses on paper. Unfortunately, a number of critical components–processing performance and call quality, in particular–fail to measure up, seriously undercutting the JAQ3’s potential. Furthermore, U.S. carriers don’t currently offer the device, which leaves you to contend with the harrowing full retail price of $499. (Also note that the JAQ3’s successor, the JAQ4, has already been announced and will feature Windows Mobile 6.0 and a few design tweaks, though little else in the way of upgraded specs.)

P1 Review - GSMArena, “We won't comment much on the picture quality since we are rather convinced that the final, retail version of the smartphone would have the camera quality improved. We now can see that P1 shows good resolution, but the automatic white balance is unreliable. Nevertheless, we still find these samples good enough to share them with you. We expect that when launched Sony Ericsson
P1 will produce images almost as good as K800/K810 models. The lack of the famous Cybershot logo is not something to mourn about. However, we think that the UIQ3 camera interface will never be as responsive as the one of the abovementioned models. … Similarly to Sony Ericsson P990, the Sony Ericsson P1 can capture video with a max…”

Z3 Review - DigitalTrends
, “Picture quality (both indoors and out) is above average in sharpness and color accuracy, but lacks deep blacks or contrast, which is about average for cell cams. There’s a perfect nanosecond delay between pushing the shutter button and the image being captured, just enough time to steady the phone to ensure a clean shot. The video light does illuminate objects up to a couple of feet away, but if you’re too close to your su..”

, “On the back is a 5-megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss lens, auto-focus, and a lens cover switch that activates the camera — again, turning the large and bright screen into a viewfinder. Razr Maxx Ve Review - CNET, “The Razr Maxx Ve includes a 2-megapixel camera that takes pictures in four resolutions: 1,600×1,200; 1,280×960; 640×480; 320×240; and a special size for photo caller ID. Editing options are plentiful and include a self-timer, brightness and white balance controls, three color effects, 10 fun frames, and a digital zoom. The flash is quite bright and as previously mentioned, it’s about time we see one on a Razr. The autofocus is another good addition, but you can use the aforementioned control on the hinge to focus your shots..”

Canon PowerShot A570 IS Review by DCResource 2007-05-16 16:41:47 CanonPowerShot
A570 IS Review at DCResource, “Canon includes a 16MB memory card along with the A570, which is quite small for a 7MP camera, holding just four photos at the highest quality setting. So, unless you already have one sitting around, you’ll need to buy yourself a larger memory card. The A570 supports Secure Digital, MultiMedia, and the new SDHC memory card formats, and I’d recommend picking up a 512MB or 1GB card along with the camera. Buying a high speed card (50X or higher) is a good idea, as it does improve camera performance.”
