Nikon Coolpix L11 Review at LaptopMag
2007-05-29 21:43:54
Nikon Coolpix L11 Review at LaptopMag, “Nikon’s Coolpix L11 delivers good performance and a sleek design with a budget-friendly price tag. This 6-MP shooter includes a 3X optical zoom, a 2.4-inch LCD, 16 scene modes, in-camera cropping, red-eye removal, and manual controls (including an ISO setting of 800). On our tests, the Coolpix L11 performed admirably in both indoor and outdoor shots. Colors looked accurate, and the focus was sharp. There was a bit too much magenta in our tulip test photo, which actually made the flowers appear orange. Although the Coolpix L11 starts up in less than two seconds, it takes a tedious five to six seconds between shots.” Full review of Nikon Coolpix L11 review. Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T100 Review at PCMag
2007-05-29 20:52:36
Sony Cyber -shot DSC -T100 Review at PCMag, “i’m impressed with the DSC-T100’s performance and image quality. The camera features a 5X optical zoom lens with a 5.8mm-to-29mm range (which is equivalent to a 35mm lens with a 35mm-to-175mm zoom) and has corresponding maximum f-stops of f/3.5 to f/5.6. This 5X optical zoom capability is a bit more than the 3X usual on cameras this size. Still, it would be nice to see the zoom range reach a wider angle.” Full review of Sony Cyber -shot DSC-T100 review. Sony Cyber -shot DSC -H9 Review at CameraLabs, “The Cyber-shot H9 is certainly a feature-packed camera which understandably piqued the interest of super-zoom buyers the moment it was announced in February 2007. It stacks up pretty well against the competition too. The 15x zoom range offers an equivalent range of 31-465mm, making it a little wider and longer than the 12x zooms of Panasonic’s Lumix FZ50 and FZ8 models, and beaten only by the whopping 28-504mm 18x range of the Olympus SP-550UZ.” Full review of Sony Cyber -shot DSC-H9 review. LG Chocolate Platinum KE800 Review - CNET UK, “There’s now a 2-megapixel camera with auto-focus and an LED photo light, which is great for MMS messages and wallpaper photos, but flounders against the quality of the Sony Ericsson K800i’s 3.2-megapixel camera. Sony Ericsson W200i Review - CNET Australia , “As a music phone, we can see why Sony’s so keen to pitch the W200i as a compliment to an existing MP3 player, rather than a replacement. It’s a capable enough unit, but the interface is relatively basic, and the single speaker is tinny and entirely uninspiring. Switching to the supplied headphones did improve audio quality markedly. You’re rather stuck with the cabled headphone model, however, as the W200i lacks Bluetooth compatibility, and thus support for A2DP stereo headphones, and the proprietary port means you’re stuck only with audio accessories supplied or sold by Sony Ericsson .” Full review of Sony Ericsson W200i review. Nokia N76 Review - MobileBurn, “The Nokia N76 looks great on paper, but of course is not perfect in real life. Apart from the HTC Star Trek (Qtek 8500/Dopod S300) which is quite outdated by now, this device does not have any direct competition in the thin smartphone department. Apart from a few design glitches such as the earphone jack that gets in the way with the flip and the poor battery life, the N76 seems to deliver what is has promised. Nokia N95 Review - PCAuthority, “The camera is undoubtedly powerful, but it can’t compete with dedicated 5 megapixel models. Either the images are too heavily compressed with JPEG or the output of the CCD is interpolated from a lower quality source, or both. The camera interface is full of cryptic icons, but you should recognize most of them from using other cameras. … While the technical specifications for the T-Mobile Wing are not much different than the old T-Mobile MDA that it replaces, you really can’t get any other Windows Mobile 6 Professional device in North America today.” Full review of T-Mobile Wing review. T-Mobile Wing Review - PCWorld, “The dedicated camera button is located near the top left of the camera when the phone is oriented vertically, and at the top right when the phone is situated horizontally–the optimal way to use the camera. But the button is flat and hard to press. When I did click it, I often accidentally twisted the phone’s slider mechanism, too, which makes me worry about the long-term integrity of this critical part of the phone. Pressing the camera button launched the phone’s 2-megapixel CMOS digital camera, with its 8X digital zoom (for low-resolution images) and video camera” Full review of T-Mobile Wing review. Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W200 Review at CNET
2007-06-01 06:52:40
Sony Cyber -shot DSC -W200 Review at CNET, “The model fares moderately well on shooting speed. From power-on to first shot takes a zippy 1.6 seconds, and in high-contrast light it snaps photos in a reasonable half-second. In dim light, under harder-to-focus conditions, it takes a so-so 1.3 seconds. Unfortunately, the W200’s typical shot-to-shot time is a sluggish 2.2 seconds, and when you enable flash, that almost doubles to a seriously shot-impairing 4.4 seconds.
