ROGER Federer has parted with Australia coach Tony Roche, two weeks before the start of the French Open.
The world No.1 made the announcement on his website, thanking Roche for his efforts in coaching him since 2005.
The decision follows Federer’s poor run of form in recent weeks, with the Swiss going four tournaments without capturing a title.
The French Open is the only grand slam Federer has yet to win.

became the first player to win the Rome Masters
three consecutive times by beating Fernando Gonzalez
of Chile 6-2, 6-2 on Sunday.

BERLIN — Teenager Ana Ivanovic
won the German Open by beating third-seeded Svetlana Kuznetsova 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) on Sunday.
The 19-year-old Serb hobbled at times on a taped right foot but outlasted the 2004 U.S. Open champion to win the French Open warmup.

PRAGUE, Czech Republic — Akiko Morigami of Japan won her first WTA title Sunday, defeating an ailing Marion Bartoli of France 6-1, 6-3 in the Prague

Bartoli, seeded first, was playing with an injured hip.

at the French
Open will be handled at a lab in Montreal
rather than the Chatenay-Malabry lab in France.
French officials said the decision was made to save money and increase the number of tests and not a reflection on the French lab, which is under scrutiny for its handling of Tour de France winner Floyd Landis’ samples.
