The big barbeque 2007-05-25 14:00:26 This is a barbeque with style, although it does actually look very similer to a coffin, but despite the looks this grill is some serious kit, it has more than six levels, which taper upwards, it uses wood to cook with, which is placed at the bottom, the heat and smoke rises through the levels, providing the smoked flavour that we all love.
For the real texas barbeque look and feel, the rugged looks and solid construction which only the Texans can do, the cost of which is around $500.

Check out this cool biological containment art from Philip Ross. It’s a hydroponic garden which allow just enough light using LEDs for the plants to survive but do not grow bigger. Very interesting. This might be good for saving our planet by controlling light plants receive and thus use less energy if we are ever in a closed environment due to wars and what not. device. This could be a cool combination of touch, sound, and video for future video game controls.
MultiTouch is the ability of an input controller to detect multiple fingers simultaneously. Multitouch input devices are just starting to be seen in the real world, rather than just in the movies (the most famous being “Minority Report”). MAKE magazine has even declared them the The Future of Interfaces.
For Maker Faire 2007, I propose to demonstrate a variety of graphical, musical, video, and browser-based applications that I’ve developed that show some of the unique capabilities of use of MultiTouch controllers. Below is a picture of the custom controller I’ve built containing 3 Fingerworks iGesture pads (each capable of detecting multiple fingers simultaneously with excellent resolution and responsiveness), and a JLCooper CS3 Read more:Device

The healthy mouse 2007-05-24 14:00:22 There cannot really be many reason for checking your heartbeat constantly especially while surfing the net, I mean your bound to get your pulse racing a sometime, it stands to reason.
But for those who are health conscious or have to monitor the heart for health reasons then the new mouse from those clever people over at Yanko Design, have combined a heart monitor and a mouse, just don’t check your bank balance with it!!
It would be quite interesting to see this given out into a large office and see who stay the calmest, but on a more healthier point, if you have a heart compliant, this can be set up to transmit to the hospital for them to monitor at regular intervals, which has to be a good thing.

A heated keyboard 2007-05-24 13:00:08 Just what we need here in the UK, where it is either raining or cold and people who work with computers all day long get a problem commonly known as “Mouse Hand” that is where you hold the mouse all day long coupled with the cold, means your hand is stuck around the mouse.
Now if we all had one of these, life would be so much better, the heated keyboard
, which will keep all of, your digits attached to your hand and not stuck to the keyboard.
The keyboard is connected to the computer via the USB port, this unique keyboard has a couple of settings, low heat around 85F to 90F, this is normal hand temperature and high heat 95F to 100F, this is normal body temperature.

The lost game on iPod 2007-05-23 17:00:53 For anyone who has watched the series lost, the opportunity to play a game based on it would be hard to miss up, playing the characters, doing it how it should be done etc, I am getting excited already.
You will be playing Jack; I suppose that is not bad, I would prefer to be Mr. Eco! But he is dead already, so not much joy there then.
So what you do is go around looking after the wounded, make sure that the black smoke doesn’t get you and of course avoid the others like the plague.
You have a series of missions to complete over twenty seven chapters, so it would appear to be reasonable in length.
To control the game you use the control wheel, and the center button, is used for the action control, like controlling the weapons etc.
The iPod
Lost game will cost you just $5 to buy and then download.

Pico Wi-Fi radio 2007-05-23 16:00:02 This neat little radio has the added bonus of having an integrated battery pack, so now you will not need to have your radio plugged into the mains in order to listen to your favorite music or radio station.
You get a two line display for the info that you need, and the machine is able to stream up to 5,500 digital radio stations via the internet, broadband will be required, or alternately there is the choice of listening to your collection of MP3’s.
The music center is water proof, but only to the extent that a few splashes will not hurt it, if you leave it out in the rain then you are just asking for trouble. Cost for this is around $300.

Audio Pro Porto 2007-05-23 15:00:37 It seems that every day there is any iPod docking station with speakers etc, but this one is different to the rest, as the tall and slim design give the product a quality look and feel, the dock for the iPod is located in the top and the speakers are below, the design works because the maker states that they can still achieve a quality stereo sound even tough the speakers are so close together.
For portability the handle is located at the top as well, and there is a choice of two colors, a matt black and dusty red, the system is covered with a fake leather type material.
Unfortunately there is no launch date or any pricing information.

The big keyboard 2007-05-23 14:00:24 At last there is a big keyboard
, with large keys that even the most short sighted person would not have trouble with.
The keyboard from Chester Creek Tech has designed this not just for people with bad eyesight, because when you work on the computer all day long, the letters on the keyboard actually begin to blend together anyhow, some evenings I think that I could do with that keyboard.
The keys are one inch square, and are available in the normal white on black or the colored kinder board, which has certain keys in different colors, like the vowels etc, these are used for learning purposes.
The prices of these keyboards are for the $79 Kinder board and $89 for the standard keyboard.

No batteries required 2007-05-22 18:00:43 The problem with the wireless mouse is the amount of batteries
that they use, and that they always appear to run out when you have not any spares.

This is ok, but the mat is likely to get on your nerves after while.

Now it’s the iLoad for the iPod 2007-05-22 15:00:27 Forget using the computer for transferring your favorite tunes onto the iPod
, its just to slow! Try the iLoad, it may just look like a white cube, but when comes to transferring tracks it can do it up to five times faster, which means that a full album onto the ipod in around eight minutes, now that is quick. Although it can depend on how old the CD is, so a new one will transfer faster than an older version.
The great thing about this device, is that you do not need start up the computer just to transfer some music over, so the iLoad has taken the computer out of the ipod circle, no longer will you have to wait for your music to be transferred.

, it looks better than the average reader, and you are able to cover the screen, as the device is built like a conventional book, which opens along the side.
Using a rechargeable lithium ion battery, which takes around four hours to charge up and then it is supposed to last for around 7500 page turns, but if you use a in conjunction with the charger it will last for six hours, which I suspect is quite a bit of reading material.
In line with some of the other readers available, the Sony will cost you around $350.
