I was trolling through OfficeMax the other day and found these alternative Lap Desks similar to the LapDog, LapDawg, Laptop Laidback, and Lap Tray.
These might be the solution to all your Lap computing problems, especially when your notebook heats up. (Like mine, is getting abused like crazy, it’s always so hot!)
Not too bad for spending around $15 to $30. (US Dollars that is for all international viewers )

knowing that any discarded furniture may have a second life as Fumi Masuda’s stunning Pile Chair
, which is built out of old and discarded furniture collected by movers. The idea came from a Japanese moving company, Mover, that provides a service to collect discarded furniture (think of all the sofas and chairs you see strewn on the sidewalk). As an alternative to disposal, the company figured that the furniture could be used as raw material for new designs, instead of the end product. Fumi Masuda’s Pile Chair emerged from a collaborative project with students and teachers from the Design Department at Tokyo Zokei University and Mover.

Check out this cool Lap Tray that will allow you to use your computer in bed. Well, the functionality seems very good since the soft foam bottom lets you adjust the tray regardless of positions. Giant Desk Lamp for your bedroom or livingroom!

Here’s a Giant Lamp that I can live with so I don’t have to turn on bunch of different lights; I can just turn on one. This might be an overkill to use it as a bed side lamp though… :p
We spotted a giant task lamp at the Arch Digest show in the Roche Bobois booth (below) and went looking for it online. Roche didn’t show it on their website, but we found that the original Anglepoise Lamp, designed by British designer George Carwardine in 1933, was recently reissued in a giant version by Anglepoise of England.

Here’s a great idea, a vibrating soundproof window, that keeps that bloody noise out of your rooms whether that be your bedroom or livingroom. It’s a “vibrating” window that keeps all that street noise out. (if you live in a noisy neighborhood like mine with San Francisco tourists roaming right as you walk out your apartment) We are not sure how this stops noise but somehow it makes sense logically and unconsciously.
