Ed Gein, the man whom inspired “Psycho” and “Texas Chainsaw Massacre”

Okay, and off we go! I’d like to start out my posts with a serial killer that is not known to many of us, however, is. And, one of the most gruesome in my opinion. His name be Ed Gein, and is the one they based the movie Chainsaw Massacre on. Though please note as well, that many and probably most of the events, are all for entertainment purposes - including the chainsaw. But damn! that was the best part. Even today when I hear a chainsaw, my first reaction is fear. Also, he inspired the movie Psycho
as well. Interested? Let’s move on.
He was born on August 28, 1906 in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and had an older brother, Henry. His mother, Augusta Lehrke was an extremely religious woman (quite off the deep end ), and the father was a violent alcoholic. The marriage was quite dysfunctional as one could imagine, but because Augusta did not believe divorce to be within the rights of her religion - the couple stayed married.

Today I’m posting about Richard
Ramiraz, I’m sure most of you have heard about him. I decided to pick him because I lived in California during the time of his killings. I remember it being deathly hot and my mother wouldn’t let us open the windows. I also remember the day he was caught…ha ha! Moving on…
HIs life began on February 29, 1960 - in el Paso, Texas. However, he was not alone - he had 4 other siblings, but Richard was the youngest. Again religion comes to play…his father Julian, had strict religious beliefs which he embedded into his children. His father would beat his children if they got into trouble, Richard would from time to time escape punishement and hide in a local cemetary. Richard looked up to his cousin, a Green Beret (in the Vietnam War), his name was Mike. One day while Richard was visiting his cousin, Mike got into an arguement with his wife and shot her point blank range in the head - Richard witnessed this event,
