Busy!
2006-12-02 07:06:00
Hi guys, my schedule this week was pretty packed, and I'll be away at the Impact Generation camp next week, from Tuesday to Saturday. I'll update as soon as I have the time. Till then, take care!

17 ways to know you like someone. *Haha!* Found it on the Friendster bulletin board. Now, this is something only a few people (or at least, those who know what's been going on, and no, Roy, it's not about you this time ^.^) would understand why I posted it up in the first place. *Hint, hint!* So... here goes! SEVENTEEN: You look at their profile/picture constantly. SIXTEEN: When you're on the phone with them late at night and they hang up, you still miss them even when it was just two minutes ago. FIFTEEN: You read their texts or IMs over and over again. FOURTEEN: You walk really slow when you're with them. THIRTEEN: You feel shy whenever you're/they're around. ELEVEN: When you think about them, your heart beats fast and slower at the same time. TEN: You smile when you hear their voice or hear about them. NINE: When you look at them, you can't see the other people around you, all you see is him/her. EIGHT: You start listening to slow songs, while thinking of them. SEVEN: The

Wishing Differently
2006-11-18 05:02:00
It still hurts at times. Sometimes I find myself hoping to find that things aren't the way they are right now, that it was all just something I imagined. I wish things were back to the way they were before. But things change, people change, and I have to face the fact that they always will, so I have to get over it. That's life. But I still wish things could be different, ya know? Thus hence... God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. Amen.

Felt like throwing up (or in other words, nausea) the moment I woke up this morning. I decided to try and sleep it off. Luckily, I felt better around 9.30am or so. Honestly, my lack of sleep this week has lowered my immune system and made even more horrible to be around with. I'm irritated easily and not much up for social situations.Anyway, today Rosalind taught me the ropes on making the youth bulletin. I'm still shocked that I was the one she approached, out of everyone else, to help her with it. That said, I did ask her about it and she told me I'm not the first person she asked. *Haha*My schedule's gonna be pretty packed now, now that I have obligations which I simply must attend to. There goes my carefree days. I'm still having trouble adjusting. ::Sigh:: In any case, it makes me look forward more to the time when I'll be going to Penang & KL in January next year. Woo hoo! Can't hardly wait! ^.^

Hair Raising
2006-11-13 14:57:00
Ok, imagine the three of us, namely me, Hannah, & Abraham stuck in a saloon for half a day, so naturally, you'd think we'd (or maybe it's more on those two) would come out with great looking hair that catches the attention of everyone who encounters them? Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.I really wanted to get my hair highlighted. But I didn't see the point in doing so because of the poor state my hair is in. Plus, I'm more keen on having my hair rebonded. But due to the wise advice of friends, I decided to take a raincheck. However... and you'd better believe it, I am oh-so-glad I listened.Being the first to finish, cause all I did was have a hair treatment, I flitted around the saloon, watching as they attended to Hannah & Abraham. Hannah took around two hours. The end result? Only a few measly strips of colour which can't really be seen and her purse (or shall I say Abraham's wallet) became RM45 lighter. I regret not arguing for her about the lousy job that they did. Ime

I felt like it needed a change. After a while, the gray colours were starting to make things look awfully drab. This wasn't the layout that I originally wanted to use (the other had image problems), but it'll do for now. Consider it a temporary solution till I find something better. Anyway, I think the blog title is rather befitting for my life right now. Oh yeah, I can't hardly wait for the assault of these totally adorable penguins! Coming out this month! The Prestige

Genesis is back in Sabah. It was meant to be a surprise, but someone accidentally let the cat out of the bag to a few people. *Hehe*Today quite a number of us gathered after church at Rex's place to watch this year's DVD recording of Zion's Search For A Star. But before that, we had a funny and interesting trip around Karamunsing helping Hannah to look for a present for Keith. Did she find anything? No, but we found a number of funny t-shirts. Too bad no one had a camera. x_xAnyway, imagine Rex's living room, packed with fourteen people! (Me, Lionel, Sara, Hannah, Genesis, Keith, Rosalind, Ian, Abel, Abraham, Amoz, Imelda, Rex & his sister Janice) The DVD was considerably short if compared to the previous years. But there were some pretty memorable acts, and I did feel inspired after watching it. It made me ever the more determined to see this dream of mine fulfilled. What am I talking about? I'm not saying. *Hehe*Most of use pretty much went our own ways after the DVD. Most of us

Girls With A Vengence
1970-01-01 00:59:59
After much deliberation on how we wanted to spend our rare Sunday afternoon together, we finally decided to watch John Tucker Must Die. Honestly, we were planning to watch World Trade Center, but there was no proper time slot... (And that makes the third time I've tried to watch the movie!)Angeline, Amelia, Joy & Hannah seemed to like it. I think the guys didn't enjoy the movie, though both Abraham & Rodney said it's ok. I didn't ask Amoz, & he actually missed around 30 minutes of the movie. x_x Anyway... I'm just glad to have one movie crossed off my list. It's an interesting concept, despite being not new, girls having their revenge on the high school lothario. *Hehe* We have the popular chick, the over achiever, the devoted activist, and the innocent girl who gets caught up in their schemes. Then throw in the main character's brother to make things complicated. In short, it's a good movie to watch when you just need a laugh. Or something to watch during sleepovers with yo

Resigned To Fate
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Looks like I won't be going to the YA Huge Camp. However, I will be going for the Impact Generation Camp that D'Stream is organising. I find it ironic that my father easily gave his blessing for me to go this time, and it's the one time that I won't be able to go. Oh well. I'm sure God has His reason.Oh yeah, last night the Youth Lifegroup reached a new level- there was 34 of us! And I really had fun with my group. Aldous went all crazy, acting gay, which made me suspect that someone (inspired by the chicks from John Tucker Must Die) actually fed him estrogen! =^^=

After much deliberation between me & Rex, we finally decided to have the dinner at good old Pizza Hut instead of Little Italy. We had a good reason, which shall be revealed soon, so bear with me here. =^^=Dinner was a merry thing, with Lionel getting birthday gifts in the form of a t-shirt from Abraham & Amoz, and (get this!) a fluffy pig from Hannah & Sara! (Does that make you jealous, Roy? *Hehe*) The others who were there was Alex, Rex, & Imelda. Between all of us, we consumed one pasta, twelve breadsticks, one salad, ten mushroom soups, two spicy thai tuna rolls, two jugs of soft drinks, & four pizza's!And after the dinner we...Hit the go-kart tracks! Whoo hoo! There were many first timers among us, which was evident once they got behind the wheel and by their reactions when they got onto the track. The others told me that Hannah was screaming & throwing her hands into the air. I didn't notice, cause I was busy driving my cart. ^.^Too bad Uncle Jeremiah didn't come earlier. *Hah

Another Shoutout
1970-01-01 00:59:59
I know, I know, the picture seems to be too "girly" for you. But I think that the message there is quite suitable. ^-^ In any case, it's the thought that counts, right? So I'll just skip the prelimenaries and get to the point...Happy birthday to my dear brother Lionel! Luv ya loads!

Labuan Again
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Make that two days in a row that I've been stuck without electricity. Today it went on for four hours. Oh the agony! And yes, I admit it, my personal time with God was placed in the backburner during to the recent trip. Argh! I mean, it's not like I didn't pray at all when I was in Labuan, but I didn't exactly spend quiet time praying & reading His word like I should have been. However, I've been trying to discipline myself to get back into it. Last night, we didn't really get to resolve a lot of things. It turns out that a lot of the youth might be away in the month of December, which could put to a halt on the Christmas carol plans. The final decision will be made this coming Wednesday night if things will still proceed. The highlight of the night? Uncle Jeremiah spraying tons of whipped cream into Sara's mouth! All of us in the house fell into peals of laughter. His main target was actually Joy, but failing that, he attacked Sara unexpectedly, & he actually tried to get me aft

Dead Bored
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Face it. It's boring when Lionel's not around. x_x I can't believe we skipped the movie (it was a toss up between Rob-B-Hood, The Devil Wears Prada & Taladega Nights) to go hang out at Bahamut, only to find that the download speed isn't up to par. I've managed to download 15 songs only so far. To top that up, the speakers on my computer aren't working. Oh well.On the other hand, I've been having the time of my life teasing certain people since last night. *Haha* Yes, the trip to Labuan did bring some pretty hilarious consequences, which I am-oh-so-enjoying now. Can't really talk about it though. It's not my story to tell. ^.^I have a meeting later at Uncle Jeremiah's house with Amelia, Joy, & Sara regarding the upcoming Christmas carolling plans that they have. I was pretty much brought in to the whole thing to handle the grunt work. You know, getting the carollers together, getting a list of houses where we can go... And so forth. But with the time that we have right now...

Oh Yes!!!!!!

Amoz & Abraham are messing around with Roy's Playstation.Lionel's resting, as he's the designated driver tomorrow.Sarah & Hannah are here with me, in the nearby cyber cafe, getting some stuff done.Uncle Jeremiah and family will be joining us on Monday. If you don't get it already...I'm going home, I'm going home... I'm going home!!!More on the trip when I get back. Praise the Lord for His grace in my life. ^.^

Back In KK
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Or in civilization, in Hannah's words. *Haha* I've been recharging my batteries since I arrived in the apartment last night, I fell asleep while reading the latest Cleo. I took a much needed shower after half a day of travelling, and it then started to rain, so... You can imagine how comfortable that was. I didn't even bother to have dinner.I haven't been getting any proper sleep since the last time I blogged. x_x Honestly though, eventhough I love sleeping, I still believe that I could do other things with my time. And since I have nothing better to do in KK (except look for a job, which is way overdue!), I figured I'd skip sleep whenever I could and deal with the consequences when I got back. Not really my wisest decision, cause there was one day where I became cranky. Not a pretty picture! As for the trip... Well... It was ok, I guess. There's a word for it, "The best laid plans of mice and men...". You get the picture. We didn't get the chance to bring them all over the islan

Hits & Misses
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Signed up for the Impact Generation camp today. For our church so far, it's only me and Joy who's going. (To Alex & Ian, make up yer mind, quick!! ^.^) I was supposed to get it done yesterday, but I woke up late!! The same thing happened today, but I HAVE to do it, cause if I don't, Joy would kill me if we missed the early bird fee. x_xFor those who want to go, I have five empty forms with me. Bear in mind though, you've missed the early bird fee, and now you've got to pay RM100. You can still think it over- the sign up date ends on the week before the camp. How do I know? I asked. They need the one week's grace cause they'll need to prepare. Anyway, do let me know. I don't bite. *Hehe*Now this is interesting: on November 10th & 11th, 7.30pm, Glory Christian Church (GCC) will be hosting night concerts featuring Bob & Kathy Fitts. There's also be a worship seminar on the 11th, from 3pm to 5pm. Although the night concerts are free, the admission for the seminar is RM10. The them

Great To Be Back!!
1970-01-01 00:59:59
I'm back!! And it sure feels good... Haha!As for the camp... Gosh, I kinda have a testimony about it... Plus tons of stories... I was sick for the most part of the camp. When I went in, I was having a fever and sore throat, during the camp, the sore throat progressed into coughing (thank God it wasn't so bad), felt like I was going to have a migraine and throw up at one point, and to top it all off, I had diarrhea! The agony of it all! There were around 350 people who attended the camp, the majority of them from Anglican churches all around Sabah, Labuan, & KL. The 350 or so number consisted of pre-teens plus teenagers (200+) & young adults (100+). Unfortunately, I was part of the batch of the older people in the camp. Haha! I think the oldest was 25 or 26 years.Luckily, Joy and I were in the same room, which they called "dorms". There was supposed to be 17 of us in that room, but only 15 were there at the last count I made. Despite being asked to bring sleeping bags, we didn't real

Adios, Mon Ami
1970-01-01 00:59:59
It was a beautiful relationship. Yet, as they say, all good things must come to an end. Yes, people... My love affair with Okcounter has ended. This is not the first time I've had problems with my counter, I've had to re-register my account several times already, the website itself is so buggy, I can't understand the broken English that they use, and... Try as I have, I can't seem to get the damn thing to work!!!Therefore, consider it over!! Fin!Anyway, as you can see, I've changed the layout. I wanted something Christmassy, but unfortunately, the file was missing from the source I had to download it from. Though I do enjoy the occasional mug or ice blended stuff from Coffee Bean, I'm not such a big coffee fan. But this will have to do.Mom has been after me to go back to Labuan and help out Dad at his clinic temporarily as a receptionist. I find that awfully funny after all the years I've spent wrecking havoc there. So far, my offers to help out have always been declined politel

Feeling Crushed
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Why? Because I just found out that I didn't manage to get a Planetshakers shirt this year, that's why! x_xEarlier on, we went to the C3F Christmas Concert featuring Juwita Suwito. I can't really say what it was like, since we went rather late (we had to consume our Burger King take-aways first), so we missed the worship session. I was tempted to buy Juwita's latest release at RM34 then get her autograph, but I resisted the temptation, especially the tacky cliche of being a groupie. *Haha!*One of the C3F members with Juwita Suwito

Boboy's Here!
1970-01-01 00:59:59
He evaded us successfully last night when we called him up to go out for a drink (Boo!), citing his chicken pox as being unsightly. But today, for one who has never been known to resist the call of DOTA, even chicken pox couldn't stop him from going. *Haha*For those who are concerned, yes, the scabs from his chicken pox are bad. Personally, I feel like getting something sharp and start digging at them. *Hehe* But either than that, he's fine. Still the same person as he left, except now he has a hard time conversing in English & Malay! As for the news and stories on his girlfriend, I have yet to dig them out of him, but chill, it'll happen in due time... ^.^ This week is pretty much gonna be spent pigging out on food, with all the Christmas parties going on. Hooray for unwanted weight gain! Anyway, I'm gonna keep in mind this little mantra of mine while I sample the food: a moment on the lips, an eternity on the hips. What do you think?I feel sad when I think about the other friends

Cheers!
1970-01-01 00:59:59
One party down... And three more to go.The past two days have been a blur. I've been busy helping out with the Youth Christmas party. On Tuesday, I was there at Uncle J's from 8am, and I only got back home at 12.30am. We put up the decorations that night. Many thanks to Aldous, Janice, Sharon & Roy who came to help out. Much appreciated! ^.^How the party turn out? I don't think we reached a hundred, but there were definitely more than 50 people. Despite being a costume party, only Chandra (a king), Beverley (a fairy, they later dubbed her Tinkerbell) & Jessica (Minnie Mouse) were decked out in costumes. The others were all dressed casually. Some made do with santa hats for their lack of costumes.Party highlights included the teary (or scary) reunion of Roy & Alex, the C3F's Christmas carolling, & who can forget the food! *Haha*
