Late last night we got good news.  The young one that was being searched for has likely been found by the time I write this.  She was out last night talking to my husband and said she could see their tents and camp fire at the top of the hill.  I guess her house is down in a crater type land formation, I dunno exactly. So hopefully by tonight everyone will be back in the village. Very tired.  I’m sure a lot has to do with the fact we’re painting and redoing an entire room, but partly it’s just tiring to have them away.  Head hurts so bad all the time this past week.  So tired. Hopefully we’ll get this room done today!  Then tomorrow or Thursday all I’ll have to do is paint some trim.  Probably Thursday or Friday so the walls/ceiling can dry proper. Tired.

Morsbags
2007-07-09 18:52:38
A day or two ago I blogged about the sociable guerilla bagging group called Morsbags.  Well I couldn’t log into their flash setup on the site.  If anyone else had tried, try adding www to the URL if you’re unable to make a pod and see if that helps.  That’s fixed it for me.  I’m very excited that it’s fixed, and it keeps me from having to work up the nerve to call my ISP and see if they were somehow blocking it.  Now my pod is set up!  It’ll keep tally of what I make and of what anyone who joins the pod makes I guess.  To be honest I’m not quite sure how that bit works other than for tally of the grocery bags you sew. I am very happy that’s solved.  It was bugging me a lot. Have more to organize today, this is going to be a month long process I think.  Instead, I think I’ll take a break and go sew a bag up.  Can’t possibly be that hard to make right?  Between the printed directions and the animation, no problem.

Comments caught up, sort of.
2007-07-08 23:06:03
I approved the comments waiting, and as always I apologize for being so slow. Just no energy to formulate a really great response, but thank you all for the comments.  Just too tired to really know what to say these days.   The trekking crew isn’t back, I’ve so much to organize still around the house (er.. the external house), and I just want to go sew.  That’s all, just sew.  I think tomorrow we’ll just do crafty stuff for a while before digging into organizing some more. I feel bad not answering each of the 8 comments that were waiting, but too tired to actually just reply to each one and end my guilty feelings.  Sorry.

After a very trying week and a half, although I feel like I have memory gaps, at least it’s mostly over.  Just have bins to sort to put the two rooms back together the way they need to be.  Books, crafty stuff, computer bits.  Then the kitchen because I moved the bookcase out of there. As soon as my stuff is all neat, I’ll make a Morsbag!   What I don’t understand is why I can’t log into the pod deal, no one knows what password was used and I can’t find a way to get the PW sent.  Maybe it’s not authorized by the admin or something.  I’ll wait a few days then ask.  I think it’s laggy or something, I can only lod the other pods at very random attempts.  Maybe the database is down. Head is killing me, Birdie flew back today and is chirping quite a lot. Today I have to water plants, we got home to late last night to do that.  Went out to the library, a fancy yard sale (and bought some crafty stuff and pillow cases all for under 5 bu

This is very interesting, and since we’re making market bags anyway.  Why not sign up here?  The goal is to make bags to educate about the dangers the plastic bags have on wildlife and the environment.  We’re really tired of the bags landing in the creek, filling the kitchen, and the fact that the grocery store took the recycle bin away that the bags used to go in.  Very peeved about that.  That’s why we started to sew bags partly! Partly because groceries are just so much better in pretty bags. So I signed the pledge to tell 10 other people about Morsbags!  I figure at least 10 people will read between now and the 14th.  So I’m telling you about it.  k? Site:  Morsbags  “Morsbags aims to reduce the use of plastic shopping bags by encouraging the use of reuseable bags in order to help the environment. To do this, Morsbaggers are making bags to distribute free to shoppers.” The forums is under the “Natter” option there.  Of cour

Today I feel so sad.  Early this morning (late last night, since hadn’t gone to bed), lost more time.  Husband met someone else, but we found her.  She lives just beyond the fog.  The fog is less thick, we can see her building.  They are talking with her today to see what we can all do.  She doesn’t know we’re safe, well I guess she knows now. I cried a lot last night, crying now and I don’t know why I feel so sad. The harder I try to be normal, the worse it is. Our pets are getting old, the one was flopped over the other one asleep, while the bottom one was trying to eat.  It was all incredibly cute but just furthers the truth along into the brain, they’re getting old.  This just isn’t something I am capable of dealing with.  How long till we lose them?  We spend every day with them as if it is the last, petting, talking, their favorite foods a little more often.  My head hurts. My eyes hurt from crying. My nose hurts from crying and alle

Today just feels average. Not great but not bad either.  Just.. it’s a day.  Have a list we wrote of stuff to get done between now and ewhenever we get it done.  No major chores on it really, well, cleaning the bathroom is on it but it’s at the very bottom.  We plan to tell the husband that he starts the list from the bottom up haha! Take out the trash is one above the bathroom one.  We’re slick, fixing a list like this. Top of the list is laundry, sort at least three bins today (today we sort fabric and yarn somewhat), and fix tuna salad for lunch later.  The fabric will be really sorted well once laundry is done and we get the remaining bins out of the hall.  THen I can line empty bins up and sort the fabric properly. Not sure how exactly, maybe scraps here, big chunks here, smaller bits here.  All of cotton, then the other stuff can go in another bin.  Maybe.  I love scraps, good for dollhouse projects if the print is not too big. We have a gift certifi

For a week.. maybe two?  It’s been very difficult to get through a day.  Kept busy with major, major house projects.  (Er.. the external house, not the internal village houses!)  Moving furniture, painting (which I do not want to do for at least three more months thanks), organizing.  It’s been quiet internally, not total silence but just quieter than usual. I had been losing a lot of time in recent weeks.  Finding the stuffed animals moved or hidden, various figurines moved (while technically they’re handmade stuffed toys, they’re decoration here), just time lurches all through the day.  Start watching one show, find out it’s an hour later and I msised the ending.  That really hacks me off.  The least they could do is hit the record option if they’re gonna make me miss a show. There was a young one who kept coming out to visit my husband, causing serious time lurches.  She didn’t know our village existed and we had no idea she existe

It’s done!  First one.  Some batik print fabric, I have enough to make at least 2 more bags with it I think. Made using Morsbags pattern!   It’s a grocery bag.

2007-07-18 22:28:08
Well I un-chickened, made an intro post on get Stitchy!  The FO sections are great, it’s fun seeing what others have done.   I really dislike making intro posts.  Feels like I’m standing on a stage alone and people staring at me and probably laughing hysterically about a booger in my nose or something. Today I didn’t do crap around the house.  I thought I’d feel guilty about it, but I don’t.  Which is nice.  Oh wait wait, I did pick mint today.  That was fun though, so it doesn’t count really.  Even though it did need done before the mint totally flopped over from the weight of their own leaves.  Joli wants to clean the bathroom but we aren’t letting her, maybe tomorrow.  The fumes of the cleaner will set the sinuses off even worse than they already are. Worked on the cell cozy a little.  One more ear to make.  The pattern says something about a pocket, what in the world is that for?  The picture looks like it’s a tall cell

I feel a little better now, laid down for a bit in a semi-dark room.  Still sneezing my nose off though.  Managed to get some lunch down (and it stayed put!) Then went out, cut two pottings of peppermint.  Quite a bit available today!  I have a metal strainer bowl and it was overflowing.  Sat out in the shade and plucked the gross leaves and bugs off.  Hosed the whole bowl down a few times and spread it out on a pan and paper towels.  Drying in the oven now!  This is my second batch.  The first one went well, but I seperated leaves from stems.  THat was too much work.  This time, I stuck the whole deal on the pan.  I plan to crumble them and cut the stems into smaller bits anyway!  Might as well dry them all as one piece.  I have five, pretty full layers.  Double what I got my first round! Peppermint grows really fast.  Faster than I expected. We have other plants going too.  I have rosemary but it is very slow to grow.  I had hoped to have my own dried rosemary by

2007-07-16 17:17:23
Today is break day.  Organizing what is now three rooms is turning into a bigger project than I thought it’d be.  I knew it’d be major but come on, this is ridiculous!  I’m tired!  So today my husband tried to convince me that if I feel the need to organiz anything.  Pick one thing.  Not a room, not a major project, just one tiny thing.  He pointed at this plastic bin that was near me and said that, that’s small right?  Well yeah, it hardly had anything in it haha.  I said no that’s not enough, so he said well instead of that.. why not put your dolls into the curio cabinet?  So that’s a good project, major without being too major.  Then I fixed the stuff in the crock pot. So my list is done.  He insisted I should not add more to the list, and instead rest all evening before I get sicker.  He’s right.  Got a cold already starting, joints are not happy, and I’m just tired.  Very tired. He hooked the N64 up!  Found Pokemon Sn

I don’t know who set the yesterday post to private, before I re-public it (hah.. whatever you call it) I will ask around and see. Thank you for the comments, they assure me that the comments were NOT the reason for it going private. Quite honestly I don’t think anyone knows a good reason to have done that. Hrm. Last night spoke with my husband about it. How I want to not feel like I am running two seperate blogs on the internet, while at the same time not 100% connecting them either. Mainly with crafts. We do crafts, we want to brag about them in both spots. We want to be able to go to the knitting groups. His answer was: So do it! Blog in both spots, go to the meetings, have fun. It’s all good. He says if anyone has a problem after they find out I’m a multiple, then it’s their problem and not mine no matter what they may say or do to try and make me feel like it is. So many years of it being secret, and he says that I’m adding extra stres

Managed to sleep, not till after it was slightly daylight but still.   Got 6 hours yay! So now, feeling a little rested and already ate something.  Got a nice cool bottle of water ready to carry around and it’s time to keep busy!  There’s some more organizing to do, but better yet.. there’s crafting.  Organizing can wait till tomorrow, crafting is the plan I think. Mostly cutting fabric today for various projects.  We had a lot of fun working on bias tape, it is a ton of work but to get custom bias tape in great patterns (as opposed to the very limited crappy color selection at the stores) it’s totally worth it.  It will make the apron go from not bad, to weeee I love it!! The young ones are really excited, this weekend my husband found two pokemon movies we have never seen and recorded them for us yay!  The other one that was showing, we actually own on DVD.  Might get those going while we cut fabric as long as they promise just to watch from within an

Sleep
2007-07-23 03:34:03
Sleep sucks. It’s very early in the morning and given how little sleep we got last night, should be passed out cold from exhaustion.  Nope.  Wide awake, so we’re doing crafts and reading and watching tv.  Not all at once, just sort of going between it all.  Once it gets closer to daylight, I can pretty much guarantee we’ll get sleepy. Can’t stand when the birds are all chirping in the morning.  It’s like “Oh great, sure.. chirp.  I’m still awake!” but eventually we fall asleep.  Yesterday was up waaaaaaay late.. er.. early.. ?? whatever. Our sleep hours are wacky already, husband works an odd shift so our evenings are after midnight when we watch recorded tv shows, play cards, hang out, whatever.  So he’s up too right now, but still.. I wish I could sleep earlier.  He’s not keeping me awake, it’s just fear of sleeping I guess.  Totally safe and yet still can’t get a grip and sleep. Even after taking pills

Comments left, emails from a friend who already knows about the village, my husband’s support..  it all leads up to me, us.. feelign braver about being.. well.. us. It’s all who I am.  That is tough to remember.  Today I am okay, no idea if tomorrow I’ll be in a panic about trying to be brave but hopefully we’ll still be brave.  Not that tomorrow is anything important, it’s just another day hehe.  Well, our gamefly rental should arrive.. we hope! We have Zelda for Gamecube on the way.  The latest one from December.  Can. Not. WAIT!  Gonna have a spaz if it doesn’t show up tomorrow.  I expect it to take till Wednesday, only because I’m waiting so impatiently for it. Just thank you all, and when we started this blog.. quite honestly we braced ourselves for vicious comments, hateful attacks and accusations from total strangers.  Instead, the worst comment we’ve gotten is a few spammers telling us about Olive Garden but the spam cat

It’s here! Don’t worry, we won’t post spoilers. If your looking for your book, you might should check your mailbox.  UPS handed books over to USPS here, and they were delivered by a different carrier I think.  The package is cute, red and white with HP artwork and a note to muggles on it.  I love it! Then went to library.  Returned 19 books.  Checked out 19.  Just usually works out to that number it seems.  There’s no rule on how many books we can check out at the library, which surprises me.  We check out a lot more than most there do. In the book carts was about eight.. yes.. eight.. maybe more!  new craft books.  Knitting, sewing, embroidery, you name it they had it.  None of them on 2-week rental!  OHMYGOSH!  EEeeee… so we checked the whole lot out.  Then on the 2-week rental (normally we get like 4 or 5 weeks but new, popular books are 14 day only for a while) they have another new sewing book.  Neat! They also had Amy Butler’s I

Nervous, confused, what to do!?
2007-07-19 20:51:17
It’s a big step, but it probably doesn’t seem like one to anyone else. For us it is though. For years we have kept silent, struggled to present ourselves as one. Both in public and online. We feel as if we allow those who tormented us to win by continuing to keep it so secret, yet at the same time we’re just not ready for announcing it on our original blog and site. Friends and family (safe family) read that other blog, I just don’t know if it’d be right to merge this and that set of blogs together without speaking to them ahead of time to tell them in person. Seriously can you imagine, reading a friend’s blog to find out something like this? Read a week’s entries, talk about gardening, pets, how annoying their husband can be at times (heh), then “Oh, yeah, we kept it secret.. but here’s some info about DID which is what we deal with”, and a little about whatever crafty happenings have been going on. That just seems.. ru

A quilt - then and now
2007-07-26 02:22:18
Someone mentioned today (from within the village) that long ago, there were quilt pieces.  Some say blue, some say they weren’t blue but they don’t know what color the bits were.  One is absolutely certain the quilt was to be made for us.  A few argue that it proves that the mom loved us, that she couldn’t have hurt us ever if she was going to make a quilt just for us, right? The quilt never got made.  That has made so many sad, particularly the young ones who haven’t bad memories of her.  They remember very little of the mom, but what they do remember it is all good.  Lunches, breakfasts being made, watching birds together, things that are nice, safe, happy.  That’s a lot of commas used there. Another says they offered to put the quilt together, apparently that resulted in a lot of yelling.  Lots of degrading comments about the ability to survive, comments of how crazy we are, comments refering to us as a “we”.  There were a lot of ti

I feel a little bad that I just don’t know most of these people.  I guess I wasn’t the one going to school.  I recognize very few names, recognize a few faces, but mostly.. I have no clue.  It’s not like the school we attended was big, not like ones other cousins had attended with maybe a thousand in their grade alone.  There weren’t a thousand in the entire school district I don’t think, and that counts teachers as well. Later years after we graduated were larger in number, but not my grade years apparently.  I had always assumed in school that people didn’t like us.  We didn’t have friends like normal people, we weren’t allowed.  Weren’t really allowed to go to other people’s places, they surely weren’t allowed over without specific rules being met ahead of time.  Don’t want to talk about those right now.   Though I do remember getting to go to one friend’s house quite a bit.  We didn’t sta

Feeling odd
2007-07-28 17:31:32
Feel half here.  Started yesterday, everything makes me irritated and I feel half here.  It’s too hard to explain I guess.  I don’t know. Feeling like stuck, don’t know what to do to keep busy.  Can’t focus.  Too many nightmares last night, possible storms tonight eeeek.  It is sunny now though so we went outside and sniffed the flowers, picked dead leaves off stuff, checked for bird nests (didn’t find any new ones) and tried to get one of the cats around in various yards to come closer but they are all cranky cause it’s so humid. Cut the bias tape for our quilt though.  Need to re-sew the other bit of bias fabric, if I cut it, will only have loops. Oops.  (that rhymes har har) and so got to cut the seam and redo it so to make continuous bias tape.  It sewed just fine too, that’s what baffles me.  I must of sewn it the wrong angle I guess. Rule #1 when making continuous bias tape, don’t cut until you run your finger along the dr

Made a lot of progress on it today.  All the bits for the top layer are together and ironed, cut out the batting and the backing.  Pinned it all together.  That turned out to be tough, getting it smooth and positioned right. Very exciting.

Extra initial?
2007-07-29 14:28:56
I’ve always wondered why as a child I began to be called by my full name, without last name included, but with an extra initial tossed in. It wasn’t a term of endearment.  I was the only one of all the cousins.  The ones who added the extra initial, I am pretty sure the one didn’t even like me.  Maybe she heard the lies from the “mom” and believed them all.  I don’t know.  There was definite dislike going on there from them toward me. That doesn’t matter right now though, I’ll blog about that another day. What is curious is the extra initial.  Why?  Was it just me, or have other people have others toss in an extra initial.. why is it done?  Any other multiples with this situation?  It doesn’t bother me normally, no one internally ever uses it.  There’s a couple internally who mutter it now and then but no one knows why it was labeled on us. Used to try and guess what the initial stood for.  We did ask too, many many

2007-08-01 21:32:14
The last couple days have been okay.  Very physically exhausted because of all the rain but otherwise, not too bad.  Still feeling a little off but today it’s a lot better.  Did a little housework, knitted some, watched some tv, clicked stumbleupon a few times.  It sounds boring but it’s about all I can manage today. Might fix pancakes for dinner tonight We saw a commercial earlier for the new Mr. Bean movie.  OH MY GOSH!  I love Mr. Bean.  We have a plush cat full of weird little beanie deals (like a large, crappy version of a beanie baby, heavy on the “crappy version”) that we call Mr. Beanies after.. guess who!  We love his teddy bear.  I want one! This weekend if we’re up to it, hoping to get to the store and pick out some fabric for another quilt.  The second quilt has a finish time of December so that’s good.  Our first quilt has no finish time, but it’s our practice quilt.  Almost done with it too.  Got to get some new tir

Big day tomorrow
2007-08-03 18:19:59
It’s always difficult to leave the house for anything beyond groceries or the post office.  I feel like an idiot when I’m too worked up with anxiety to go anywhere.  We don’t drive a car anymore, too afraid to go biking alone even.  How lame!   Maybe if we get a bike helmet, we’ll feel better about riding alone.  The fear of falling, cracking our head, and no one knowing we’re out biking just terrifies me.  I doubt having a bike helmet will make me go out more often, but at least I’ll be safer when I do go.  I want to ride my bike in the afternoons, I want to feel like if I wanted to go out.. I could, because I wouldn’t be afraid. Well tomorrow is ultra busy day for my husband and I.  I’ve got a list going so we don’t forget what all needs done.  Library, just to drop books off.  Thrift store if they’re open that early to drop off a few things for donation.  Walmart for various things.  Hoping to find a bias tape

Lately
2007-08-09 19:55:23
It’s been too hot to think, move, do crafts, sleep… it’s hot.  The massive heat supposed to fade a bit soon.  It’s too hot to bike ride safely.  We’re working up the bravery to bike alone.  It’s scary.  Had planned to try this week but dude, it’s not worth getting heatstroke just to try being brave! Going to try to find some yarn for a couple Ravenclaw projects to knit.  A scarf and a bag.  We took all those sorting hat quizzes, a few were gryffindor, a couple slytherin, a lot of Ravenclaw, and a couple hufflepuff.  So we’re going with Ravenclaw, since my husband is Gryffindor.  That way we have different scarves on :)  (And he won’t wear mine by mistake and get it grubby!) This week has been very nice though despit ethe heat, our brother plays the same video game we do now!  So we got to hang out and chat a bit with him and he sends emails much betterthis week haha.  It’s hard to remember that he just startedt o

We did it!
2007-08-13 17:43:27
It takes 23 minutes round trip from the time we locked the door until we unlocked it again.  When we got about halfway between here and the restraunt there was a little bit of panic, since a few dogs started to bark but all of them were leashed and kenneled.  None were barking at us, each was barking at either their families or wildlife. That time surprises me.  We’d expected a lot longer.  That time includes stopping to watch a squirrel that was watching us, stopping in at the one store (didn’t expect them to be open!) and then walking the bike to the final destination due to traffic.  Sweet!  We had planned on getting some tea and having our icecream there but that would have been a little too taxing I think. So it was great, the lady who did the icecream put it in one of those styrofoam bowls, then gave us extra because she said it’s better to have more icecream than less! Haha.  Then we got oreo cookie sprinkles.  Never had it that way before, that was gre

We did it!!
2007-08-13 13:14:23
Now this doesn’t really carry the same weight as if we did this a few hours from now but we did this just the same. Got the bike out of the garage (which is a task in itself, since he has something blocking the garage door so we gotta take it out the back!) and put it in the front yard.  Took a small break to nerve up about it, then we rode our bike!  All alone.  Just up and down the street two rounds.  Couldn’t do the whole street cause a neighbor is mowing, and there’s a giant dust cloud coming from their yard.  Don’t feel like riding into that. But when they’re all done, and it’s a little cooler (dude, it’s hot out there right now!) we might…. might… ride up the street to get icecream.  There’s three spots that sell icecream.  One is a little shop that sells gift things I guess, I am not really sure actually.  Well they have icecream.  Then up the street about 8 pedal rounds further is a restraunt that has icecre
