Astro raise charges again… 2007-05-05 03:11:56 The first news that i saw early this morning regarding Astro
was really a big shock to me. Starting from next month, Astro is going to raise
its subcribtion fee from RM5 to RM15 based on packages selection.
Since the launch of 9 new channels from 1st Of May, i already suspected that they are going to raise its charges again, but what’s out of my expectation was, it happened so fast. Just few days after its launch of new channel, they declared a raise in subcribtion fee of 15%.
To me the 9 new channel was nothing special on the programs itself, i would said it’s not attractive at all. It’s services are always interupted in the bad weather like heavy rain. Some more programs that are shown in Astro are not the latest one!!! How dare they increase there charges based on such condition?

This service will be provided by Yoonic, where users able to watch TV with just a broadband connection, and it’s price is just like a cups of CoffeeBeans…
According to this article, even users who are currently using 512k like me can still watch movies with no interuption & delay. I have tried other broadband TV like PPLive, TVAnts, SyokTV…etc, the results was really dissappointed with my 512k broadband connection.

will eventually control the whole world of internet. More & more google applications have been created which allow us to do most of the thing within our Internet Browser. Let me give some of the example here…
Initially we have Gmail which was in beta version with 1GB of free email space. That time was really a good new to the public where most of the free email provider like Hotmail & Yahoo are still providing few hundreds MB of email space. While Gmail space has been keep on increasing…i stored most of my doc & files inside my gmail as well. Then later it comes the Google Chat, where we are allowed to chat directly in the email browser…cool ya…

Pay Increase for Civil Servants 2007-05-21 15:21:54 Announcement has been made on pay increase for civil servants. Civil
servants now deserved a pay increase from 7.5 per cent to 35 per cent. At the same times, they will also get a 100 per cent increase in the cost of living allowance.
This is really a great news to over 1,000,000 of civil servants, although they have been complained for their ineffectiveness by the public, they still get their pay increase.
Secondary school teachers will have an increment of 15% of their basic pay. Some of my friends who have been a teacher for several years, their basic salary will easily around 2.5k, with this increment; they are going to get an extra 375. This is still not the end yet; do you notice the news that they will also get a 100 per cent increase in the cost of living allowance? Living allowance for teachers is around 150 in average.
