Melaka, Malaysia Jan 2009 2009-01-16 05:10:00 I have been remiss in keeping up to date on this although Sofia has kept her end of the bargain up at so any gaps she can fill in – so the next post actually covers two or three days in Malacca (Melaka). Well Malacca has certainly worked it’s charm on me. As Sofia says we were lucky with our hotel choice as it and it’s neighborhood are simply beautiful. We went exploring and wander Read more:Malaysia

Today’s film was Bedtimes Stories, the film we were meant to see yesterday before I poisoned everybody against it and we went to see The Spirit instead. Well sorry everybody but this is a much better film than The Spirit! It’s light and fun but still much better. And finally the day to get out of dodge had arrive Read more:Malaysia

Gotta Love Kuala Lumpur 2009-01-10 22:51:00 So just a month after our last enforced visit (due to the closure of Bangkok airport) we are back in Kuala Lumpur
a place that is rapidly becoming one of my favorites. I was concerned that being a largely Islamic country that KL would be a very dull and stilted place. But take a walk around some of the cities malls and it reveals a lot of innovative designers and young teenagers with way out h Read more:Gotta
Anilao, Philippines. January 4th 2009 2009-01-05 03:35:00 One thing I forgot to mention in my last blog was that I am not that comfortable in open water, I have this real belief that I will drown. So when snorkeling I spend a lot of time concentrating on not going out too far over deeper areas, no water getting in my mask,, I can hear every breath I take amplified in my head, I am always finding it hard to just enjoy myself. This I am sure will settl Read more:Philippines

So Many Mistakes - No Excuses 2009-01-02 10:09:00 So I have been reading through my last post and it's so full of mistakes and dead ends.I would like to offer up an excuse but I don't have one.Basically I need an editor. My knowledge of writing the English language is flaky at best, I am never sure at what point to input punctuation, I also although actually being pretty good at spelling do tend to misspell the same words over and over and althoug Read more:Excuses
Tagaytay, Philippines - A New Year Arrives 2009-01-01 00:00:00 Now I am afraid that for the next week or so there may be a shortage of updates or anything interesting to read. And those posts I do make will probably just be me moaning (I am an Olympic standard moaner). Actually you will be better off reading my wife Sofia’s blog she is a much more positive and cheery person than I. The reason for the lack of updates is because I am at my Mother in Read more:Philippines

Crocs and Tiggers! 2008-12-23 03:19:00 Today (Sunday) was a quiet, lazy day. Late to rise, walk along the beach, bit of food, bit of drinking, pool, cards and bed. It sounds boring but back home in England it’s cold and everybody is shivering and concentrating on Christmas. We on the other hand are hardly aware of Christmas, even though there are Christmas decorations dotted around and Christmas tunes coming from the shops and Read more:Crocs

I again paid the travel lady a lump sum of baht towards the Philippine adventure. How Do I Get More Readers To My Blog? 2008-12-19 00:11:00 So today the first thing I had to do was go and pay the lady another chunk of the money for our flights. Back to the hotel out for food and drink same old, some old. (don't worry I'm not getting bored of
December 16th - Quiet Day 2008-12-17 05:18:00 Sabsatian had apparently stayed up all night playing on his PSP and watching DVD’s keeping Sasha and Cammy awake more than he should to the extent that Cammy ended up sleeping outside on the balcony and of course Basty was then sleeping while everybody else was ready to go out and play. It was Cammys last full day so he and Sasha were going shopping together. Sofia and I wanted to go int Read more:December

December 15th 2008 - Expensive Day 2008-12-16 12:34:00 A busy and expensive day today. Due to security issues we had to bring it as he did not expect it to arrive if sent by post. That first time we had to send him some emergency funds v Read more:December
