TMZ is reporting that sources from the Beverly Hills Police Department confirm that Lane Garrison
, one of the stars of "Prison Break," was driving the SUV that crashed into a tree, resulting in the death of a 17-year-old male passenger.
Two 15-year-old girls inside the vehicle were also injured, one critically.
The vehicle reportedly jumped a curb and hit a tree on Saturday night in Beverly Hills. Authorities had been trying to determine who drove the SUV, which was registered to Garrison.

TMZ has learned that "Prison Break" star Lane Garrison has hired powerhouse defense attorney Harland Braun in connection with last Saturday's fatal car accident.
Lane was at the wheel in his Land Rover on Saturday night when it crossed a median in Beverly Hills and crashed into a tree. A 17-year-old boy sitting in the backseat was killed and two 15-year-olds were injured. Braun tells TMZ that Garrison had never met the three teenagers before the night of the accident. George Clooney's beloved potbelly pig Max has died, Clooney's publicist said. He was 19.
Max, who lived at Clooney's Hollywood Hills home, died 'peacefully' of natural causes on Friday, Clooney's publicist, Stan Rosenfield, said by phone Monday.
'Max, like any pet, became a member of the family,' Rosenfield said. 'He was a big pig, as pigs go. I can't tell you how much he weighed.'
The Oscar-winning actor, 45, who owned the hog for 18 years and reportedly once said the porker was his longest relationship, told USA Today, 'I was really surprised, because he's been a big part of my life.'

Rip Torn, who was acquitted of drunken-driving charges two years ago in New York City, was arrested again Monday in the New York suburbs after a collision, state police said.
No one was hurt in the crash in North Salem, Trooper Edward Gillespie said. The 75-year-old character actor refused a sobriety test and would be arraigned on a charge of driving while intoxicated, Gillespie said.
Torn's publicist, Dick Guttman, said from Los Angeles that he had not heard from Torn and could not comment.

As you may have heard through media outlet reports, there was a major plane incident concerning Kathy
Wed evening. All of us, and Kathy directly, want you to first and foremost know that Kathy and all aboard are safe. The plane did not crash.
Kathy rented a commuter plane that took off at 4:45pm in Burbank, CA. Kathy and Tom (her tour manager) were the only two passengers on the plane. 20 minutes into the flight they hit extreme turbulence. Things were flying all over in the plane.
The pilots smelled smoke and then Kathy did as well. Shortly the cabin itself was filled with smoke. She noticed the pilot had to put on his oxygen mask and then the other masks dropped for the passengers. The plane made an emergency return to Burbank. The two pilots were extremely professional and calm during the events.

Tuesday night for allegedly possessing drugs and a firearm.
Detectives from the Burbank Police Department served a search warrant on Snoop, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, outside NBC studios in Burbank at approximately 7:30 p.m. this evening. Police say they found the rapper in possession of cocaine, a firearm and a large amount of marijuana. He was also cited for allegedly having a false compartment in his vehicle.
The rapper had just performed on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and was leaving the studio when police pulled his car over on Bob Hope Drive and placed him under arrest. Bail has been set at $60,000, and TMZ is told that the lawyer for the rap star expects him to be released sometime this evening.
During the performance, Snoop clutched a microphone with a large marijuana leaf symbol displayed across his hand.

The illustrator of X-Men comics died Sunday curled up in his favorite chair, wearing his Superman pajamas.
Dave Cockrum, who drew many of the X-Men characters, was 65. He died after a long battle with diabetes. At his request, there will be no public service and his body will be cremated with his ashes spread over his property.
But just because there might not be a service, that will not stop people from saying nice things about the man who deeply loved his job.
Family friend Clifford Meth said Cockrum loved his job so much that he cried when he first saw the first X-Men film. He did not receive movie royalties but he was so happy to see his characters come to life.
"He cried because his characters were on screen and they were living," he said. "He had a genuine love for comics and for science fiction and for fantasy, and he lived in it. He loved his work."

(aka Vickie Lynn Marshall). G. Ben Thompson, the owner of the home in which Smith has been living, recently filed papers to evict her.
Smith was required to respond to Thompson's filing by Monday, November 27, but failed to do so.

has filed for divorce
from husband Kid Rock. Anderson, who is represented by celebrity hotshot lawyer Neal Hersh, cited irreconcilable differences.
The couple was married August 3, 2006. Earlier this month, Anderson suffered a miscarriage.
It looks like there was a rush to the courthouse. Kid Rock also filed divorce papers this morning, 53 minutes before her docs were stamped by the clerk.
Sources tell TMZ both Pam and Kid were in a race to get their papers filed first. The process server for Kid was at the courthouse when it opened at 8:30 AM and filed five minutes later. Interestingly, Pam and Kid Rock gave different dates of separation. She says they split on November 21. He says November 26.
