.'Colosseum' the Roman amphitheatre is one of the greatest works of Roman architecture & engineering, & is located on the marshy land between the Esquiline & Caelian Hills. Construction for this is stated to be started between 70 & 72 AD under the emperor Vespasian & was completed in 80 AD under Titus, with further modifications being made during Domitian's reign. Originally capable of seating 50,000 spectators, it had approximately eighty entrances that helped in easy movement of crowd, as they could arrive & leave easily & quickly. It was used for gladiatorial contests & public spectacles. We haven't come across this sort of an art project before & found this one really evoking.
