Well Stickies is now history, we have officially detagged ourselves from it. I wouldn’t say it was a painful experience hehe, but rather a joyful one. Joyful??? Well if you ask me why we named it stickies in the first place, honestly, I have no freakin clue. I do use a lot of stickies at work but I have no particular obsession with them. Wordpress was much better than blogger and it was great to use it for a few days but, what is better than wordpress??? Your own server. Moe did a lot of great work on this project so I need to highlight that. But having said that, he can’t survive without my technical expertise .

Interesting Week!!! 2007-04-02 00:29:00 It’s been an interesting 7 days I’d have to say filled with some surprising experiences.
Last Sunday was my first live boxing experience. A colleague of mine is a boxer and invited us to attend a Thai and kickboxing competition. Different, intriguing and violent are the three words I’d use to describe this sport. Never been a fan of it in the first place, never expected it to be quite enjoyable. It wasn’t Lennox Lewis vs. Tyson but it was quite competitive. My friend won his bought and came out with only a small scratch, whereas others were a bit less fortunate. From concussions to seizures to total knockouts, this competition had it all. I’ll definitely go to the next competition.
Monday was slightly different. Sitting on my computer at work early morning, I get sent an email about what is now an ex-colleague in the states. Now this girl was crazy but I never expected her to be that crazy, add to that overly stupid. Well, not only was she a thief (stole neighbour’s package

Stress & Vacation Planning 2007-03-16 12:02:00 So it had been a while since my last post ! I can’t believe how busy I have been lately, work is eating a lot of my time ! And when I am back home from the office, the only thing I can do is basically eat, catchup with the family and sleep ! NO TIME whats so ever for posts ! Arabs need sunblock ! 2007-04-17 22:03:28 Blog hopping became a nasty habit of mine, time flies like lightening when I am at it; good for thursdays (or fridays) if you know what I mean ! Useless Aircraft Safety 2007-04-20 13:53:51 One of the things which really gets me thinking is who on earth suggested the personal safety equipment on aircrafts ! Every time I read the safety instructions, I ask myself the same question ! If something goes wrong, would these procedures and equipment help ? How many on water emergency landings were successful ? You pay an x amount of money to buy the ticket and what do you get ? A stupid safety belt and a cushion ! What’s the cushion for ? you are supposed to tuck the cushion under your body and bend over it, with your wee silly belt on ! Now supposing we are heading towards a mountain at 500 miles/hr; with your safety belt and your cushion in your arm, what do you do with a cushion ? Bahraini Blogs 0 VS Jordanian Blogs 1 2007-04-28 00:10:19 I had a bit of time on my hands due to me being sick, got bored of TV quite quick, played games and that didn’t work either so I decided to blog hop; I know its a sad habit but here you go ! The scientists decided to name it Gliese 581C. What on earth were they thinking of ? I mean what are movie makers gonna do ? They all must be muttering, “F you very much.” Why ? Because movie critics would have a field day with a movie called “Star wars - The Gliese 581C episode.”
Another thing, what if we discovered advanced life on the planet ? What are we gonna call them now ? Did they not think of that ? I mean be as easy as Martians, or Venutians. No, they will be Gliese 581c ians ! A name that calls for us to take the piss at !

Flu Stricken 2007-04-25 20:25:11 I hate the flu, I loathe it, hell I even despise it. :mad: I hate being sick and I don’t have time to go to the doctor’s, and before you decide to say something clever, NO ! I don’t fear them ! I just do not have time to go to the hospital or is it just because I am plain lazy ?! :???: Anyway whenever I get sick, its aspirin, vapour rub “Vex” and that’s it, I depend on the natural courses of life to heal me. It takes a bit longer; I know; but I like to believe that it’s better to do so than depend on antibiotics given by doctors ! Well basically, Ana Hindmarch decided to promote green awareness by designing a cotton bag called “I’m not a plastic bag” that will be sold in Sainsbury’s for 5 pounds. Given that there are many people that actually care about the environment, those who made the effort to buy one queued for hours. The result was 20,000 bags being sold within the hour i.e. £100,000. It all sounds nice and rosy until the shocking announcement…
Sainsbury’s actually admitted that the bag was not only made from non-organic material, but also was not fair trade. To add insult to injury, the bag was made in China by garment workers that get paid 20-30 p an hour. Now I don’t really care that much about Anya Hindmarch. They did though claim that they made it no secret that the bag was made in China and that they wanted to use their brand name to actually influence the people to buy that
Gumball 3000: The rally of death!!! 2007-05-05 00:01:48 Most of you have heard about Gumball somewhere down the line. It’s the world renowned yet very controversial celebrity rally. Well guess what??? This one just got more controversial!!!
Flat tires, burnt or wrecked cars, speeding tickets and police chases are just the norm. Hit-and-run, now this is something new. Just to make matters worse, there were fatalities.
Well the accident took place in Macedonia where two Britons, Nick Morley and Matthew McConville were driving an ultra high performance Porsche 911 near the town of Struga, when they drove on the wrong side of the road and boooom, struck a Volkswagen Golf. Unfortunately for Margarita Chepulyoski, she was left fighting for her life, whereas her husband, Vladimir Chepulyoski, died on the way to hospital as a result of a heart attack. Logically, the next step would be to call the police and ambulance. But for those folks, getting into another car and getting the hell out of there was more important.

Penalty lootout!!! 2007-05-03 23:06:30 I can’t really understand why people would do such a thing, I’d probably describe it as “heroics punishment”. Well for all of you who have seen the champions league semi-final, Pepe Reina was Liverpool’s hero as his two spot kick saves paved the way to the final. Unfortunately for him, joy turned to grief when his house was broken in and the entertainment system and private documents were stolen. To add insult to injury, his Cayanne was charcoaled.

(AP) A La Vista man was charged with felony theft after he spent $80,000 his bank deposited by mistake in his account.George J. Costa, 45, is charged with theft of lost or mislaid property. It is a crime to take money that’s been “delivered under a mistake.”
More than $106,000 was deposited into Costa’s account between August 2006 and February after a Pinnacle Bank employee mixed up account numbers, according to the Nebraska State Patrol.
The bank was able to recover $26,000 from Costa’s account after the mistake was recovered.
“‘Finder’s keepers’ and ‘possession is nine-tenths of the law’ aren’t legal principles,” said Sarpy County Attorney Lee Polikov.
Costa’s lawyer, James Martin Davis, said Costa is willing to work out repayment in civil court but shouldn’t be charged criminally.
