Jane Eyre
2007-04-13 19:28:05
One of my favorite book bloggers, Leila Roy at bookshelves of doom, has a great T-shirt this week. It features a quote from Jane Eyre: “I like rudeness a great deal better than flattery.” Such a perfect Jane statement! Check out Leila’s etsy shop for other literate T-shirts. (This T-shirt isn’t on her etsy shop yet, but I’m sure it will be soon; her T-shirts run about $19.)

Perking Up
2007-04-12 20:51:26
It is so dreary today. Will winter never end? This T-shirt makes me think of spring.  A fun, 1950s-style design looks great on the ringer T-shirt in shades of mint and avocado. At Rotem Gear for $24.99 Link found via Mixed Plate

Space Camp
2007-04-10 19:45:32
I just love the design of this T-shirt. It just screams 1970s and has Logan’s Run written all over it. But a good way for us Gen Xers to relive our childhood. At Nerdy Shirts for $20.

Scrabble Isn’t Just a Game
2007-04-10 02:45:10
Primitive State.Com lets you personalize a T-shirt in some pretty interesting ways. You can do Scrabble tiles, bar codes, Braille — even Morse code. And there are a lot of T-shirt options, including the fitted T-shirt shown here with my blog title. A little pricey perhaps, but not something you’ll see everyday. At Primitive State.Com for 17.50 GBP (that’s about $34 USD).

The Sopranos
2007-04-06 19:04:34

Modishoppe
2007-04-05 21:07:57
Everyone else (Mixed Plate, Love It a Lot and design*sponge) seems to be blogging about Modishoppe today, so I thought I’d join the crowd. The shop is new and they have some truly gorgeous T-shirts. Though this sage green ruffle polo isn’t technically a T-shirt, it’s close enough for me. Definitely a site to keep an eye on. At Modishoppe for $48.

American Apparel
2007-04-04 23:00:44
I’ve noticed a lot of etsy sellers use American Apparel T-shirts. I finally decided to check out their site and realized I was there once a long time ago. Even if you’re not buying in bulk, they’ve got a great assortment of cotton clothing for men, women and kids. And there are some incredible sales right now. This cotton jersey fitted tunic has so many options: easy to dress up or down. And just $9 on sale!

Allergic To Work
2007-04-04 19:08:27

Mysteries of the Orient
2007-04-03 23:14:43
I love the combination of this chic geisha image on an American Apparel raglan sleeve T-shirt. The ink for the image and the sleeves are in navy blue. Remember that American Apparel sizes tend to run small, so you’ll probably need to buy a bigger size than usual. At marissajoannarojas at etsy.com for $20.

Not the Average T-Shirt
2007-03-30 22:26:45
This is not your average T-shirt. It’s appropriate for work, without looking too formal, and would be just fabulous with a pair of dark, skinny jeans for a night out. The combination of modern fabrics and vintage details makes this T-shirt a must-have. At studioxtine at etsy for $58.

The Wonderful World of Disney
2007-03-26 03:02:13
You think of Disney and you think of Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White. Now, I don’t have anything against heroines, but don’t you think the villains always have more fun? So if you want a Disney T-shirt, don’t go for sweetness and light. How about this cool T-shirt from Zazzle with some retro-looking design elements, featuring Maleficent’s image, along with the words “Evil” and “Queen”? Edgy and fun. Tons of Disney images and lots of style options for your T-shirt. At Zazzle.com for $19.95 (choose the Special Collections, then the Disney shop).

More Pink and Black
2007-03-23 22:10:46
I guess I’m a little obsessed with this color scheme now. But a girl just can’t turn down vintage Dior — even if it’s only in a T-shirt! Check out this pink tee with a screen print of a fabulous 1950 Dior oblique-line dress. At Eden Dawn for $30

Skulls Can Be Cute
2007-04-16 19:29:38
Skulls can be creepy, or scary, or just too out there. But it is a popular motif. Whitney has found a way to do skulls that’s really cute and wearable. This black and white, handmade T-shirt features just a few touches in the right places — not overwhelming at all. Check out her etsy shop and her Web site, nice face. At etsy for $34.

Dice Tunic Tee
2007-04-18 20:22:28
Thanks to the lovely ladies over at Love It A Lot, I checked out Plasticland. They’ve got a great collection of clothes and accessories from independent and boutique designers. And, of course, I found some great T-shirts, including this one. There are three accents on one shoulder, but the back is even better: some beautiful Victorian scoll designs and a sexy cut-out back. But hurry! There are only two left in stock. At Plasticland for $45.

Wonder Woman
2007-04-17 19:01:50
I forgot, until an email reminded me, that AllPosters.Com (which I love) sells T-shirts too. Their women’s collection is only average; they have lots of band-related Ts, which really isn’t my thing. But this Wonder Woman T-shirt definitely caught my eye. I love the 1940s comic book feel and the fact that the design takes up nearly the whole T-shirt. At AllPosters.Com for $22.99 (there’s a 25% sale on through Friday; enter code MORE25 at checkout).

SNL
2007-04-20 18:47:08
SNL is well-known for their parodies, and I don’t think there’s anything better than their version of Celebrity Jeopardy. Will Ferrell is outstanding as a humorless Alex Trebek faced with a never-ending supply of dimwitted celebrities, including Darryl Hammond with the best impression I’ve ever seen of Sean Connery. The skit usually ends with “Connery” writing something off-color in Final Jeopardy. And someone put it on a T-shirt. At CafePress for $22.99.

Forever 21
2007-04-19 20:00:25
I am totally skewing the demographic of Forever 21. By a lot. But they still have styles that will work for us, ahem, more grown-up girls. This Striped Bubble T-shirt can be easily dressed up under a nice blazer. The tone-on-tone pattern, with lighter accents,  makes it suitable for girls of all ages. At Forever21.com for $20.

An Eco-Friendly T-Shirt
2007-04-22 21:50:50
In keeping with the spirit of Earth Day, here’s an eco-friendly T-shirt. Last Christmas, I bought a 100% bamboo shawl for my boss. I always think of bamboo as a hard substance, but it’s actually a form of grass — in fact, the fastest growing plant in the world, sometimes growing as much as three feet in a day. You will not believe how soft spun bamboo can be. Give it a try and do your bit to be a good citizen of Mother Earth. At BambooClothes.com for $21.

Monopoly on a T-Shirt
2007-04-28 00:06:51
Who doesn’t love Monopoly? My sister and I still play occasionally and she is ruthless! And it seems I NEVER land on Free Parking. Or when I do, there’s no money in the kitty anyway. Maybe I can get luckier with the T-shirt. At Urban Outfitters for $28.

Coffee
2007-04-26 23:03:19
Okay, it’s not like I need coffee (well, sometimes I do). But I like it. A lot. A Starbucks Grande Mocha is my drink of choice. But just a plain old cup of joe will work too. This T-shirt proclaims my love for the good stuff. And Cafe Press has lots more — including several with a fair amount of snark. Check them out. At Cafe Press for $21.99.

You’re Awesome!
2007-04-25 21:37:54
Love to read? Tell the world how awesome you are! I can imagine this design on a 1970s poster in a library, trying to get those crazy kids to read a little more. And a rainbow never hurts either. At Nerdy Shirts for $14.99.

More Etsy Finds
2007-04-24 22:10:48
I’ve known of Etsy for awhile, but it’s only recently that I’ve been spending so much time there. Which is going to cause serious problems for my credit card debt. I’m completely envious of so many talented people. I love this gorgeous T-shirt because it combines colors that I would never put together: a blue/white pattern with red and brown closures. It’s so cute — and you know you’re wearing an original piece. Just one left in size small — but check out flutter’s shop for other great finds. At flutter’s etsy shop for $59.99
