Gratitude & a lesson from my father
2008-11-20 03:49:00
They show up at least once a week, sometimes twice and on a busy week, three times....those little envelopes from various charitable organizations requesting a donation.  The majority of the time, they have animals or children in their literature and close with a "won't you please help us?" comment of some sort.  One of the best  lesson s I ever learned about charitable giving came f

So I awoke this morning after a rather trying weekend, grateful to be alive.  I fore-go my morning coffee for a tall glass of water and wandered into my office to sort through my emails.  Fortunately I am not the only one moving slowing on a cold Texas Monday morning as I had only a handful of emails to sort.  Near the top was an email from Desiree, the Book Club Queen, regarding my

To Describe Who I Am?
2008-10-29 03:26:00
Over the years my life has been filled with ups and downs....as I share in my story (click here to read my personal story)...  Recently it was pointed out to me that I am missing a simple 'tag-line' which would give others the ability to know what I offer almost immediately.  With that I was asked to describe what I offer, how I assist others and what simple words would be most effective

What does success mean to me?
2008-10-26 11:55:00
My dear friend and manifesting muse, Debbi Chambers recently asked this question on another site.  I found it to be very thought provoking and felt it necesssary to repost here...enjoy!Debbi's question:"Success...What is it exactly? For each of us, it takes on a different face and meaning. I am of the thought that success has INFINITE meanings...special and unique as we all are...I'd love to

The way I see it....

Today I am spending the day with my beautiful 7 year old daughter Sami at a presentation / event for our creations.  I was thinking about how fortunate I am to have the time & ability to spend my days with my daughter....just as that thought crossed my mind, I noticed my Starbucks cup (tea, not coffee) and this is what I found "The Way I See It # 198" was printed on the back."You can show

Sharing joy and love
2008-10-23 15:26:00
In 2007 I had several people asking me when I was going to put my story on paper to share with the world....until that point I had simply shared my story without thought of writing out for others.  Interestingly enough as soon as this process started, the seed that was planted began to grow.  I nurtured it, strengthening the vision and soon I realized that it would be. Then a twist of fa

Thankfulness Bag

As I unpack into my new home, I am finding items that had been packed up long ago.....photos, scrapbooks, cards, etc....I kept each of them as they were special to me in one way or another.  The item I came across last evening I felt a desire to share, I hope others enjoy it as much as I do... All of the items were placed inside a brown paper lunch bag and I had received it from my daughter w

Well it's been about a week since I was online as we moved forward in our lives, leaving behind one house and moving into our dream home on a beautiful lake and golf course here in Texas.  This past month has been very busy and as I stop to think about how fast the time has gone by, I cannot help but be thankful for everything that has kept me so active over the last month, since my father pa

Giving in Gratitude 2009

It's been 3 weeks since dads passing and with his death being at the beginning of the holiday season, it has been especially difficult for me.  Although I knew in my heart and in my head that my father would not be here to celebrate Hanukkah with us this year, it was still a shock to hear the nurse tell me "your father has passed" and the reality struck me as I walked into his bedroom and saw

Beautiful words...
2008-12-13 18:00:00
It's been a week since dad's passing and in this past week I have received some of the most beautiful emails and notes from loving, inspirational individuals.  I have also heard from many who have gone thru what I am now experiencing and their courage and positive outlook have given me the ability to move forward, thru the tears and to 'see' my father each in every day in the world around me.

The Magic of Creating Time
2008-12-01 06:47:00
“The Magic of Creating Time” Sometimes there were days when I turned around, the sun was setting and I wondered where the day had gone. Almost as if I had just woken up, nothing seemed to have gotten done and if anything, there were even more projects to complete.  I thought it was a curse that plagued me as I worked for myself from home, not having enough time in the day and feeling disa
