Are You An Efficient Reader?
2008-11-16 00:26:00
You are capable of reading faster if you make a real effort. This is the major distinction faster between an efficient reader and an inefficient one. Efficient reading is about reading in a way that allows you to understand the writer's message without spending too much time in the process. It is also about reading with a clear purpose in mind so that you only read relevant material.Following poin

My way of review: Get a Nokia E71 if you want a QWERTY
2008-11-15 10:47:00
I have always wanted a QWERTY phone long before Nokia E71 was launched to replace my boring and traditional mobile phone. A keyboard on a phone and that’s really cool and professional. I shortlisted Blackberry but drop the idea of getting a BB ultimately, BB isn’t too complete, some of the models are either lacking the camera or the WIFI. Furthermore, BB phones are too bulky.I finally get to w

Mysteries in life
2008-11-14 08:40:00
I have been kind of occupied for the past few days and finally weekend is here, it’s time to update my post.Sometimes the happenings in life are so strange and illogical that I couldn’t figure out why things happened this way. Chen Shui Bian the former Taiwan President was arrested for corruption during his presidency. Not only him but his whole family, including his son-in-law were involved i

I received a nice comment from a fellow-blogger
2008-11-12 09:13:00
He likes the theme I have here and I really have to thank Themelib for creating wonderful templates for me.I have been using their themes earlier on my experimental blogs. When it comes to free templates they are always my first choice.I shall stop here, don't want to sound like I am advertising for them.

Is Gong Li really a traitor?
2008-11-11 07:59:00
I saw a disturbing piece of news on the web today. The Chinese called her a traitor for giving up her citizenship for a Singapore citizenship. Both countries do not recognize dual citizenship. In this new world migration is common, leaving one's country for another is no big deal. I understand why the Chinese are feeling this way afterall they groomed her to an international star and she is a big s

Where do I see this blog down the road in 1 year's time
2008-11-08 23:32:00
1 year is a pretty short time and this blog is barely few weeks old. Making that commitment means I am not going to stop writing here neither you will see this blog inactive. I have a target, to write more professional stuff in a year's time. Not only the usual stuff which you might have read here like The day in 60 seconds. I will add some research articles with more professional writings. But I w

Windows 7 to be better than Vista?
2008-11-08 14:52:00
I just bought Win Vista early July this year and Windows 7 is coming, most probably in late 2009. That's pretty fast. I reluctantly upgraded to Vista because I bought a new PC (I thought why not a new OS since I am getting a new PC), well, I somehow regretted. No doubt Vista has a lot more features and better interface but XP is a lot more stable. A lot of the applications are now Vista certified b

One month of Google Chrome
2008-11-08 11:35:00
It has been one month since I started using Chrome as my main browser. It’s quite good except for few hiccups and I am not ready to replace my Firefox 3 with this. You see, like everyone else, I started with IE when I have my first internet account, it was WOW to me. As time goes by, I got to know Opera which was amazing till today, I get the fastest and most convenient downloads from Opera. That

What happened to Arsenal?
2008-11-08 06:35:00
I have not been following the Premier League regularly. But a recent checked on Premier League's table, Arsenal isn't impressive on statistics. This is my favourite club since the days of Dennis Bergkamp.I confessed that I do not know much about Arsenal if not for Dennis Bergkamp, I watched the Arsernal's matches because of Bergkamp. He is the greatest gunner. A world class player.Because of that

Me & My face
2008-11-08 00:12:00
I see myself as a new age man. I use facial products that I detest once, like facial scrub, clay face mask, face lifting cream, toner and moisturiser.I have stopped using moisturiser for a long time since I have rather oily skin (didn't know that moisturiser is not stuiable for oily skin until I had pimples breakout years back)There are alot more men's facial products now than before and I was ama

Sands casino in trouble
2008-11-07 06:51:00
I am waiting to go the IR once it's ready. Nevermind if I am not a keen gambler, it will be an eye opener for me. But Sands have problems with their finances now, even with Sands down I am sure that the government will find ways to help them. They are already in talks with the government for a "bailout". That's the trend now. Bailouts everywhere.I have never stepped into a casino before, never in

Obama speaks well
2008-11-06 10:11:00
I didn’t get to watch the acceptance speech on TV but managed to catch it in youtube. That speech! I must say Obama has the charm and charisma. The speech was really good, they should add it to one of the greatest speeches of all time. “I had a dream” by Martin Luther King is my favourite but this one is just as well spoken.I am not an American but being an outsider, this speech got me off m

F 15SG
2008-11-05 08:54:00
We just bought our own F 15SG - the superb machine for dog fight.I am no fan of fighter jet but this one is impressive. I prefer the Apache, that's a mean dog. I have never seen a helicopter with that much power. I have this speacial feel for heli over jet.Design wise, F 15SG looks ordinary, there is not much different from the other jets I have seen so far.

Obama the new president
2008-11-05 08:19:00
I am not surprised, it was a landslide as predicted.I said Mccain's supporters must be feeling awful in my post yesterday, now I should say they are felling bitter. A lot of them do not favour a black president.Obama is very charismatic and I like his voice, even if he doesn't become the president he could still make his living as a jazz singer. He really looks like a singer to me.The hype is over

What’s up with the Obama’s hype?
2008-11-04 09:50:00
The election is not over yet but people around the world are already preparing to celebrate Obama ’s victory. That’s presupposition isn’t it?Japan even has the Obama town waiting to celebrate for him while Africans in Kenya are also waiting to pop the champagne.Mccain must be feeling awful right now.I have no idea of Americans’ politics but this is almost celebrity like or should I say cult

Masa bangs wall
2008-11-04 09:00:00
Formula 1 season has just ended.I am sure Masa will remember the first night race for the rest of his career, I am not surprise since that race screwed up his entire season. He was leading all other racers until that lousy auto-signalling piece of scrap metal messed his record. I can’t help but to pity him, he was doing well the whole night, he basically outran everyone in that race. They dumped

Mini Series: AOW - McCain & Obama
2008-12-12 06:55:00
Tactical DispositionsTo secure ourselves against defeat lies in our own hands, but the opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself.Found this Chapter in the AOW which sheds some light in the U.S Presidential Election 2008.As a debate enthusiast, though not an American, I was engrossed with the Presidential election. The war of words between a veteran and a newbie.Obama was

If you lay siege to a town, you will exhaust your strength.Again, if the campaign is protracted, the resources of the State will not be equal to the strain.See how well a fraction of

Sun Tzu's Art of War&George BushPART IAttack by Stratagem (Chapter 3)The general, unable to control his irritation, will launch his men to the assault like swarming ants with the result that one-third of his men are slain, while the town still remains untaken. Such are the disastrous effects of a siege.I think Sun Tzu wrote this for George Bush and his policies on Afghanistan. That war on terr

Should I stay with blogger? or get a Dot com?
2008-12-02 06:39:00
I like Wordpress to be frank, the interface is more user friendly and convenient for bloggers unlike Blogspot. But a Wordpress.com blog is very limited unless I host the blog elsewhere which I may have to fork out monthly subscription fee. Then my blog will have to be profitable at least to cover my costs.I want ads on my blog and that's why I am sticking to Blogspot for the time being. Too bad I c

The world going forward or backward
2008-11-29 11:07:00
TerrorismGiven that the world is more opened to the differences in religions. Extremists still exist.Given that we have an advanced civilisation. We see barbaric activities.Given that we are spreading love and act of kindness to the less fortunate. We still see people who find joy in destroying lives.Given that people are intelligent animals, we are expected to do intelligent things. Yet, we see m

Bailouts world
2008-11-24 08:10:00
The Americans tried to bailout the US from Bush's administration by electing Obama as the new President. Obama tries to bailout the Americans by fixing the leaks in the US economy.I, from the other part of the world, cannot wake up one day without reading any bailout news.Governments now encouraged employers to re-train eployees, revised salaries and forgo retrenchment to bailout the consumers.
