With FreeBSD, you can !!!!!
2007-05-08 22:29:17
With FreeBSD , you can easily start out small with an inexpensive 386 class PC and upgrade all the way up to a quad-processor Xeon with RAID storage as your enterprise grows. Education: Are you a student of computer science or a related engineering field? There is no better way of learning about operating systems, computer architecture and networking than the hands on, under the hood experience that FreeBSD can provide. A number of freely available CAD, mathematical and graphic design packages also make it highly useful to those whose primary interest in a computer is to get other work done! Research: With source code for the entire system available, FreeBSD is an excellent platform for research in operating systems as well as other branches of computer science. FreeBSD's freely available nature also makes it possible for remote groups to collaborate on ideas or shared development without having to worry about special licensing agreements or limitations on what may be discusse

BSD-Lite release
2007-05-08 22:28:36
FreeBSD is based on the 4.4BSD-Lite release from Computer Systems Research Group (CSRG) at the University of California at Berkeley, and carries on the distinguished tradition of BSD systems development. In addition to the fine work provided by CSRG, the FreeBSD Project has put in many thousands of hours in fine tuning the system for maximum performance and reliability in real-life load situations. As many of the commercial giants struggle to field PC operating systems with such features, performance and reliability, FreeBSD can offer them now! The applications to which FreeBSD can be put are truly limited only by your own imagination. From software development to factory automation, inventory control to azimuth correction of remote satellite antennae; if it can be done with a commercial UNIX product then it is more than likely that you can do it with FreeBSD too! FreeBSD also benefits significantly from literally thousands of high quality applications developed by research cent

What Can FreeBSD Do?
2007-05-08 22:27:54
What Can FreeBSD Do? FreeBSD has many noteworthy features. Some of these are: Preemptive multitasking with dynamic priority adjustment to ensure smooth and fair sharing of the computer between applications and users, even under the heaviest of loads. Multi-user facilities which allow many people to use a FreeBSD system simultaneously for a variety of things. This means, for example, that system peripherals such as printers and tape drives are properly shared between all users on the system or the network and that individual resource limits can be placed on users or groups of users, protecting critical system resources from over-use. Strong TCP/IP networking with support for industry standards such as SLIP, PPP, NFS, DHCP, and NIS. This means that your FreeBSD machine can interoperate easily with other systems as well as act as an enterprise server, providing vital functions such as NFS (remote file access) and email services or putting your organization on the Internet with W

If this grand idea is correct, then the universe is larger than we ever could have imagined. But the question remains: Is there a boundary, and if so, what lies in the voids beyond? The answer, according to some cosmologists, is truly mind-boggling. If the universe sprung forth in this manner, then probably inflation has occurred in other places, perhaps an infinite number of places, beyond our horizon and outside of our time. The implication is that there are other universes, perhaps similar to ours or vastly different, each in its own space and begun in its own time. Inflation implies a vastly expanded concept of what the universe is. But the concept is also helping us to understand the universe we see around us. Take, for example, the recent observation that the universe is not only expanding-a fact astronomers have known for over seven decades-but actually accelerating outward. That discovery is the subject of NOVA's program "Runaway Universe." While we can never direct

Universe II
2007-05-10 22:22:46
This horizon describes the visible universe-a region some 28 billion light years in diameter. But what are the horizons of a civilization that inhabits the most distant galaxies we see? And what about galaxies at the limits of their vision? There is every reason to think that the universe extends a long way beyond the part of the universe we can see. In fact, a variety of observations suggest that our visible patch may be a small fraction-maybe an infinitely small fraction-of the whole universe. This view of the universe fits with the currently popular idea that the universe began with a vast expansion of size. The idea describes a kind of undirected energy present in the vacuum of space, called scalar fields, that somehow got channeled into a process called "inflation." By conservative estimates, the universe expanded so much during this period that something the size of an atom inflated to the size of a galaxy.

How Big is the Universe?
2007-05-10 22:21:15
How big is the universe? Could it be infinitely large? If the universe has an edge, what is beyond the edge? And if the universe had a beginning, what was going on before that? Our experience of the everyday world does not prepare us to grasp the concept of an infinite universe. And yet, trying to imagine that the cosmos actually has a boundary does not make things any easier. There is an edge to what we are able to see and could ever possibly see in the universe. Light travels at 300,000 kilometers per second. That's top speed in this universe-nothing can go faster-but it's relatively slow compared to the distances to be traveled. The nearest big galaxy to our Milky Way, the Andromeda galaxy, is two million light-years away. The most distant galaxies we can now see are 10 or 12 billion light-years away. We could never see a galaxy that is farther away in light travel time than the universe is old-an estimated 14 billion or so years. Thus, we are surrounded by a "horizon" that

we can't know what is the building or the smallest unit in universe because atom it self which is the building unit of matter contain 136 particle inside it, and we don't know weather is the end or not, may be there's a smaller body, this topic become more complicated when Max Planck announce that matter can convert into energy and vice versa, that means that energy may be the origin of universe but there're prime bodies which play an important rule in the origin of the atom which will be discussed in this section.

Inflation theory
2007-05-10 22:13:30
But how are the elements in the universe formed? The scientist "Alan Guth" answered this questions as he discovered another theory which is the 'inflation theory', and it was accepted by every scientist, and in this theory he explained the first 3 minutes after the titanic explosion, according to this theory the titanic explosion followed by a huge fireball in an extreme temperature after one part from many millions parts of a second, the temperature decreased to 1022 K, where the fundamental bodies is formed and after 10- 6 seconds the 'singularity' became as big as a solar system (it's radius is 588 x 1010 ),when the temperature became 109 K the radiation became to be emitted after the first second the reaction stopped but universe is still expending until now.The "inflation" theory is considered very important because we knew the 1st minutes after the "Titanic explosion", and it's very mysterious explosion because it's not such a normal explosion to the matter in

Big Bang Theory
2007-05-10 22:13:03
In 1915 Albert Einstein assured in his general relativity that the motion of any cosmic body leads to the bending of the space around it, so the other bodies will be affected too, and expected that the universe is not static but it dynamic but the old thought was much stronger Einstein too failed when he tried to find a relation between the constancy of the universe and his theory, in 1922 Alexander Friedmand announce that there is a contradiction between the static universe and the lows of physics , Edwin Hubble also discovered that the Milky way is not the only galaxy in the universe , and "George Lemaitre" presented the "Titanic - explosion" theory in order to explain the origin of the universe , and it is the most correct theory from 1927 until now , the universe in this theory must have been formed from a very tiny atom , with endless heat and density which explodes with an indescribable force which caused the expansion of the universe until now, Hubble too assure that by fi

Birth Of Universe

Everything has a beginning even if this thing is universe itself, Einstein said in the general relativity that universe has a beginning as well as it has an end. And there's a lot of theories which speaks about the birth of universe, the most correct one is the Big Bang or the titanic explosion theory.

Uprising
2007-05-10 17:22:22
At Anupshahr, a group of Jats, loyal to the British, guarded the ferries, 'beat off an attempt by 1,000 rebels to cross and dispersed 100 rebel cavalry who had got across the river'. The Rani of Basti leading 800 Rajputs defeated an attempt by 2,000 Gorakhpur rebels to sack the town. She was later rewarded by the grateful British with a grant of land seized from a neighbouring Rani, who had supported the rebels. The rebellion threw up similar paradoxes - there were Indians who supported the British, fighting in the regiments which remained loyal to the East India Company. Bankers and merchants in Delhi who had been robbed by rebellious sepoys prayed for the British to recapture the city, then prayed for them to leave as the dreaded prize agents got to work, demolishing their houses in a mad search for treasure. Then there were the renegades - a handful of Europeans who joined the rebels and fought with them against the British. This is not as surprising as it seems - while some

1857 Revisited
2007-05-10 17:16:33
The National Archives on Janpath, as William Dalrymple recently discovered, is a treasure chest of little known, or sometimes completely unknown, material on the Great Uprising. Although so much has been written about the events of 1857-1858, there is still a lot more to say. The hardest task for the historian is trying to modify the firmly held views of those who call it 'The Indian Mutiny' or 'The First War of Independence'. (Before you jump to the obvious conclusion that only the British persist in referring to it as 'The Mutiny', let me say that the term is still widely used in India, while in the politically correct Britain of today it is referred to as anything but the M word.) The main characters of the Uprising are well known - the two Queens, the Rani of Jhansi and Begum Hazrat Mahal; the Nana Sahib Dhondu Pant and his commander, Tantia Tope; the old king of Delhi, Bahadur Shah Zafar, and of course Mangal Pande. But there are many other rebels, or freedom fighter

Agile marks first overseas payload for Indian
2007-05-10 17:15:10
By Radhakrishna Rao Country's space ambitions boosted as Italian research satellite is sent into orbit India's move into the commercial space market has received a boost with its launch of Italy's Agile astronomical research satellite, the first foreign spacecraft to be carried as a primary payload on the country's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle. The 350kg (770lb) satellite, built by Italy's Carlo Gavazzi Space, was launched on 23 April from the Indian Space Research Organisation's (ISRO) Satish Dhawan Space Centre on Sriharikota, off India's eastern coast. The PSLV also launched ISRO's 185kg Advanced Avionics Module to test mission computers, navigation and telemetry systems for future launch vehicles. The PSLV, which had already launched six small foreign satellites as piggyback payloads, is being promoted as a cost-effective vehicle for the emerging market to launch satellites weighing up to 600kg, a niche that the major US and European launch providers hav

The C100 sells for Rs. 1400 with one year warranty. It comes with Tata Indicom Go Active prepaid scheme which has two years incoming free, 2000 minutes Tata to Tata free and Rs. 50 talktime. At such a low price you cannot complain much but if the keypad was a bit soft this phone would have been a winner.

The phone looks like a color handset but its not, it has a color background screen with black font.  The background screen cannot be changed. The font could have been a bit bold but that is not a major issue. The only major issue i experienced was with the keypad. The keys are hard to press. So if you are a heavy sms user, you should try the keypad out before purchasing. Sound reception is very good with an option to increase the sound volume so talking in a crowded market will not be a problem.

I have a sporty RED Viva for the past 4 years. I fixed LPG to it after the first year and found my purse tobulge. Its always been great fun and economical. When I first asked the dealer he instently refused to comment or help. But after so long I feel I did the right thing. It runs at 2 Rs. a Km which is cheaper than Dls. Its fast smooth and costs much lesser on maintanence. Your tyre lasts much longer and so on and so fourth. Any help regarding the above I can help. Somthig that I learnt is to always use petrol to start and run untip the engine gets hot this also helps to lubricate all valvs and sensors and only then shift to LPG. This realy helps . U must use petrol as often as possible to keep your car dual fuel user.   Rest assured u only find a 10% or even lesser difference in power compared to Petrol. Why spend 7 to 8   for a CRDI when u can run cheaper for a long run comparing maintanence cost of Diesel and Petrol.

Vishnuvardhan!!!!!
2007-05-17 14:53:06
''Good things are not made. They happen?'' Producer, actor Dwarakish was telling this while talking about his latest venture Apatha Mitra. So is this film that screens the runaway hit pair Kalla-Kulla (Vishnuvardhan - Dwarakish) together after 19 long years along with a remarkable performance by actress Soundarya. Unfortunately Apatha Mitra was her last film too. Lively Vishnu, splendid Soundarya, comic Dwarakishadded with catchy music by Gurukiran keeps everyone on their toes with nail biting consequences. Aptha Mitra, based on Malayalam movie Mani Chitratal, is a suspense film blended with horror making it a perfect thriller. Film revolves around a haunted palace. Ramesh (Ramesh), an engineer buys the palace that has historic background. Everyone believes that the spirit of Nagavalli, a dancer is captivated in a room of that palace. Ganga (Soundarya), out of curiosity opens that locked room with the help of Soumya (Prema), the daughter of the watchman. Then start the

Though its remake of original Malayalam.. MANICHITRAZAL...a last wonderful performance by soundarya(late). This film about split personality. really takes us into a journey of suspense tunnel...where we will forget about ourself..and involve in the mistry of visual magic. Soundarya wife of ramesh ..is orphan with no essence of love inher life... before the entry of ramesh in her life. interested in dance and other good activities. Ramesh comes to a village where he is involved in R&B work.... They stay in a old jamindari building. The story of the film starts from here ..in this building .. one room is looked forever. and rules are restricted that no one should open that room. Soundarya interestingly and darely opens the doors of the room and comes to know the secrets of the hidden room. From now onwards a series of unfortunate events happen in their house balming of teh daughter of watchmen.Prema did that role. The last 20 minutes of the film takes us to the peak performance of

This movie was picked by me as I love 'Manichitrathru' the original Malayalam version. I wanted to know how well the artists could perform the role. I am not being critical but I only wish to see that the directors, producers would make engrosing movies. First of all Mr. Dwarakesh has not used any of his original ideas, they are all borrowed. The scenes of this movie are from another Malayalam hit 'Aranthaburam' - the harmonium scenes.  The entrance of the main character is not apt and the fight scenes were unnecessary. Vishnuvardhan kick boxing stance was too artifical, as a man of his age cannot lift him leg that high and for that long the foot was hanging as if the leg was tied to the tree at the ankle. The jokes were not jovial and light most of them had double meaning. The pleasant sight was Soundarya natural and expressive. Dwarakesh has forgotten to be jovial and funny, his attempts to crack jokes and act fuuny looks exaggerated and artifical. He come nowhere ne

Update Rules
2007-05-17 00:13:51
Update Rules The update rules specify how the InfoObjects (Key Figures, Time Characteristics, Characteristics) are updated in the DataTargets from the Communication Structure of an InfoSource. You are therefore connecting an InfoSource with an InfoCube/ODS object. Transfer Rules In the transfer rules maintenance, you determine whether the communication structure is filled with fixed values from the transfer structure fields, or using a local conversion routine. From 3 types of transfer rules, you are only ever allowed to enter one: InfoObject: The fields are transferred from the transfer structure and are not modified. Execute the function Default transfer rules to assign fields of the transfer structure to those of the communication structure. Constants: An InfoObject is filled by a fixed value. You could, for example, assign the fixed value 01 to the InfoObject 0COUNTRY. Routine: Conversion routines are ABAP programs that you can create yourself. The routine always refers to j

Types of InfoCubes BasicCube : "Data containers", on which reports and analyses in BW are based. BasicCubes are supplied with data from one or several InfoSources. The BasicCube is filled using the Scheduler, provided that the Update Rules are maintained. MultiCube : A MultiCube is a superior InfoCube that combines data from several BasicCubes / RemoteCubes, and brings it together into one context. The MultiCube itself does not contain any data; its data comes exclusively from the BasicCubes it is based on. RemoteCube : A RemoteCube is an InfoCube whose transaction data is not managed in the Business Information Warehouse but externally. Only the structure of the RemoteCube is defined in BW.

Its one of my personal favourites. A movie cannot get cooler than this! Its the best romantic comedy I've watched so far. Thebest thing about "Salaam namaste" is Saif. He is the most versatile actor we have in bollywood. He has grown a lot as an actor. On one hand, he gets accolades froms critics and masses for performances in movies like Omkara, Being Cyrus, Ek hasina thi and on the other, he does complete justice to light-hearted movies like Hum tum, Kal ho naa ho and Salaam namaste. His comic timing is superb. Saif as "Nick" is the coolest thing to happen in bollywood. no other actor could play this role the way he did. it was tailor-made for him. Preity Zinta does a decent job here, after playing a completely opposite character in Veer-Zaara. Arshad is another actor to watch out for. His comic-timing is naturally charming. The director, Siddharth Raaj Anand shows a lot of promise. Looking forward to watch "Tara rum pum". Yet...one more hit from the Yash Raj banner!

I am sorry
2007-05-18 13:36:37
Iam sorry tosay taht i watched this movie  lately after all my friends watched and set to FANAA.. Aamir proved himself again and gifted us this film.. The cast was so apt and the direction (which often known to be pricked by aamir..   :-)) is very great. Transformations, fix-ups of the SEPIA to COLOUR scenes are very innovative in this film. Eventhough played tricks are old they are used here very cleverly...songs are with most masth...dialogues are youth `n truthful... watch the movie more than twice to understand the direction and need of characters in their place. Indian movies may not win OSCARs but win millions of hearts, a standard for a good movie. Oscar is not needed to measure one`s calibre. Nowadays... it`s a trash and set only for public stunt. Yet good movies like RDB (Rang de Basanti ) has proved it self by winning many hearts...

2007-05-18 13:35:23
Rang De Basanti´s original, refreshing concept marks a progressive leap for the Hindi film industry. Taut, witty writing and heartfelt performances embellish Rakeysh Mehra´s immensely entertaining and engrossing expression of anger. Though he could have developed his characters more convincingly to compliment their exaggerated transformation, Mehra coaxes his audience to root for his heroes and simply go with the flow.                  Sue (Alice Patten) , a British Indo-phile , auditions actors to film a documentary based on her grandfather´s memoirs as a general during the colonial era. Her hunt for actors to play Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Ashfaqulla Khan, Ram Prasad Bismil, Durga Bhabhi and Chandrashekhar Azad yields a barrage of clowns from Delhi University. She strikes an instant rapport with a special group of carefree students, enlisting them to act in her film. Karan (Siddh

The film has been produced by Manohar Kanungo and Shailesh Singh; it has been directed by Onir. The film is an average budget film and stars Sanjay Suri (Nikhil Kapoor), Urmila Matondkar (Anamika), Jimmy Shergill (Rahul), Juhi Chawla (Ira Malhotra), Rehaan Engineer (Steve) and Purab Kohli in a special appearance. The film does not belong to any one particular genre but it could be termed as an urban film which deals with the complexities of relationships. The film begins in a light manner with Nikhil an MBA, US return falling for an anonymous but sprightly girl Anamika in a pub. Anamika, a civil engineer is a very forthright and modern urban woman who lives her life on her own terms. After that first meeting they part ways only to meet by chance another time in the same pub. While Nikhil has been doing the rounds of this pub often in the hope that he would meet his lady love, Anamika is living her life. On that fateful night though everything changes and their lives veer off on a dif

Ek Pal
2007-05-18 13:31:05
Bas Ek Pal is about urban relationships, the characters are completely urban centric and even the theme is, the film is basically for a niche kind of urban audience. However like Onir's earlier film this one too borders on the art-house type with a few commercial scenes thrown in for good measure. Also director Onir has attempted to incorporate too many parallel angles to the plot, apart from the relationships between the five characters he also tries to include the suspense element in the form of several secrets tumbling out, the murder element, the sexual (imagined or real) element etc. Unfortunately this only serves to confuse the audiences and they never get enough time digest one aspect thoroughly enough. However what does work for the film is that it succeeds in depicting the characters well; it shows every character having black, white and even grey shades to them. Unfortunately though anothersetback for the film is the lethargic and slow pace of the film. The film seems to be

Splendour
2007-05-18 13:21:15
I had purchased Hero Honda Splendour in 1999. Now almost 7 years had passed but my bike is still good. It still gives me a good average of 60-65 per liter. The bike is also very good for long drives. Till now I had traveled from pune to Mahableshwar, Lonawala, villages like Saswad, Theur, Urlikanchan, Narayangaon, Narayanpur, Koye, Nilunj, etc My bike didn't gave me any problem at all. I still travel little long say about 50-60 kms on my bike. It is still in a good condition. Only the problem of this Hero Honda bikes is that their spare parts are very costly as compared with Bajaj and other bikes. But Hero Honda is better than other bikes. The only thing we have to do is to maintain the bike properly and to get serviced from a good mechanic and change the engine oil after every 2000 kms of running.

Splendor is the best!!
2007-05-18 13:16:55
I bought my Hero Honda Spendor at a time when I was working as a Consultant in Vatva, a place in Ahmedabad which is a good 22 km away from my home. Since I had to travel more than 44 km daily at least on a daily basis, I was looking for a vehicle which would give me better fuel efficiency than my Bajaj Super, which I was using till that date (December 2001). After reading a lot of reviews and hearing all my frinds extoll the virtues ofa bike, it was now time for me to decide which bike. I decided on Hero Honda soon after I recieved some good reviews from my really good and reliable friends. Now came the question of color, where the standard black color lost out to the more elegant and royal silver color in just a few moments, especially since I am a man of quick decisions. The truth is that I fell in love with a silver splendor out on the roads. Whether it was the pretty girl riding it that made the difference is something that I cannot really swear upon, but in the last five years,
