series moves up one notch to top the US album chart.
Fans snapped up 213,000 copies “NOW 24″ last week, enough to knock Tim McGraw’s “Let it Go”–which sold 177,000 units and debuted at No. 1 a week ago–down to the No. 2 slot, according to Billboard, which bases its album chart on Nielsen SoundScan retail data.
Martina McBride’s “Waking Up Laughing” makes its debut at No. 3, with 144,000 copies sold, and Hilary Duff’s “Dignity” moved 140,000 copies to debut at No. 4 on The Billboard 200 chart.

Organizers announced eighteen of the headliners who will perform at the U.S. leg of the 7-continent, 24-hour Live Earth
concerts on 7/7/07. The concert will be held at Giants Stadium in New Jersey, Live Earth Founder and Executive Producer Kevin Wall said.
“Capping Live Earth with a blockbuster show like this will ensure we meet our challenge of building a mass audience to combat global warming,” Wall said. “Live Earth will be a monumental event both in terms of entertainment and in turning the tide against global warming.”
The global concert on 7/7/07 will begin in Sydney and continue across all 7 continents, concluding with the U.S. show.
“We hope the energy created by Live Earth will jump start a massive public education effort,” Live Earth Co-Chair Vice President Al Gore said. “Live Earth will help us reach a tipping point that’s needed to move corporations and governments to take decisive action to solve the climate crisis.”

’s road show will hit the US for a 17-city tour beginning in late May as the singer continues to support her most recent studio album, last year’s “Loose
.”
Furtado will be backed by four dancers and her six-piece band on the outing, which kicks off May 30 in Hollywood, FL.
“For the last eight years I’ve never really traveled with a full production of lights, visuals and dancers–and this tour I’ve got all of it,” the 28-year-old Canadian singer said in a press release. “I’ve spent eight years building my musicality so that now I can rely on that, but then I also have a great backup up there with all the production, which is a treat for me.”

was born Robert Allen Zimmerman on May 24th, 1941 in Duluth, Minnesota. He was raised in Hibbing, Minnesota, where he began writing poems as a child. He taught himself how to play guitar and piano in his early teens and formed a couple of bands. Influenced by the early rock of Elvis Presley, Little Richard and country and folk singers Hank Williams and Woody Guthrie, Dylan was destined to become famous.
Last year, Dylan released “Modern Times,” his first new studio set since 2001’s “Love and Theft.” The disc, which is his 44th album, features 10 new Dylan originals he recorded with his touring band: guitarists Stu Kimball and Denny Freeman, multi-instrumentalist Donnie Herron, bassist Tony Garnier and drummer George Recile. Dylan sang and played keyboards, guitars and harmonica.

We are going to see some great hockey in this Eastern Conference second round match up. Given their plethora of talent and relentless pursuit of offense, the Sabres are always a treat to watch. The Rangers have once again become the darlings of Manhattan, advancing to the second round of the playoffs for the first time in a decade. They did so in shocking fashion, disposing of Southeast champion Atlanta in four games, while the Sabres wobbled only slightly in dispatching the eighth-seeded New York Islanders. The extensive US outing gets underway on July 8 in Bridgeview, IL, and take DMB from coast to coast, ending with a five-show California run in late September/early October. The trek includes two-night stands in Mansfield, MA; Hartford, CT; Camden, NJ; Noblesville, IN; East Troy, WI; West Palm Beach, FL; and Los Angeles. returns to the road this summer behind a new album, “My December,” that features 13 tracks either written or co-written by the original “American Idol” winner.
The singer is also slated to appear at the July 7 Live Earth concert at East Rutherford, NJ’s Giants Stadium, which takes place just a few days before the official start of her tour.
“This will be the biggest tour I’ve ever done,” Clarkson said in a press release. “It’s all about the music–we’re bringing extra musicians and we’ll be making an arena environment intimate because I want the fans to be part of the show! And you’ll hear all your favorite hits too!”

Tool has made some changes and additions to their North American tour, which kicked off last week with two nights in Las Vegas and now stretches into mid-July.
Several cities have been tacked onto the 45-date outing, including Ft. Worth, TX; Hamilton, Ontario; Montreal; Boston; Portland, ME; Albany, NY; and Reading, PA. Tool has also been added to Milwaukee’s Summerfest in July, and will be a headliner at Manchester, TN’s Bonnaroo Festival in June.
The trek was originally set to kick off in mid-March, but was postponed after drummer Danny Carey tore a bicep. The accident happened a week after the band announced the first 30 dates of the North American trek.
