How to machine sew on a button 2007-02-01 20:26:51 Okay, the truth is, I hate hand sewing on button
s mostly because I hate having to thread the needle so many times. Oh, and I almost always poke myself with the needle when hand sewing on buttons.
Once I started using my Button Sewing presser foot, I realized that this is one foot I really, really appreciate. Machine sewing on buttons is easier, faster, and often looks more professional than hand sewing buttons. I love it.
Enjoy this video tutorial of how to use the Button Sewing presser foot for machine sewing:
Cheers to easier mending!
Singer Sewing Presser Foot Videos - By Singer! 2007-01-13 22:06:26 Hey, look what I found: Videos on the SingerCo site that feature their various presser feet.
There are a number of presser feet featured, with different videos for different uses on some feet. I can’t hear anything, is it my system or do these old vids not have a sound track?
They annoyingly posted them for QuickTime (I hate how QuickTime tries to take over my machine, like this time it said that some MIME type was assigned to another program -duh, I hate QT). However, I suspect I’ll be happy that the Sew and Surge foot video is posted. I recently bought the product and am looking for a chance to try it out.
You can also shop for the right Singer presser foot on my site ;). Read more:Sewing

Singer Sewing Machine Tutorials 2007-01-05 15:00:11 I’m working on more tutorials. The first two are already uploaded to Google Video.
Although I originally posted the first one on YouTube as well, I was spammed within one week by ickly people, so I deleted my account. I’ve since also posted the video on Yahoo Video and AOL’s video posting as well. I still need to post the second one on those systems.
Please let me know what other tutorials are really important for you to get going on your Singer sewing machine. Read more:Sewing

Zig-Zag finish your seams: Use a general zig-zag presser foot 2007-04-24 20:24:36 With this tutorial, you’ll see how to finish seams with your general zig-zag presser foot. If you don’t own a serger, you can still make neat seams that prevent the fabric from unravelling.
You can purchase Singer Sewing Machine Feet online.
How to Sew Buttonholes in 4 Steps 2007-05-24 13:09:19 This video tutorial walks you through the 4 step method of sewing buttonholes with your Singer Sewing machine. Some Singer’s have automatic buttonhole functions. Sorry, I have never used one. Some Singers have manual buttonhole functions, and this 4 step is very similar.
The advantage of the 4 step buttonhole functions on a Singer equipped with such, is that the switch automatically chooses the correct stitch zig-zag width and direction of moving the fabric for you.
You can buy a buttonhole foot for your Singer sewing machine on our buttonhole foot page.
Hope this video tutorial helps you get to your sewing projects!

How-to Backstitch, Sewing Machine Basics 2007-11-18 10:32:25 Good habits pay off in more professional looking garments. Backstitching (or back tacking, for those with a different Anglo accent) keeps your seams from unravelling.
Here’s a quick video about backstitching. Make it a habit.
