, who
made UCLA college basketball’s greatest dynasty, remains
hospitalized due to a bad reaction to a combination of
medications.
Wooden’s daughter, Nan Muehlhausen, released a statement Monday
night saying that the 96-year-old coach was admitted to the
hospital on Sunday with what was originally believed to be
diverticulitis, which is inflamed pockets in the colon.
Last April, Wooden was hospitalized for three days with
diverticulitis.
Muehlhausen also revealed that Wooden had four blood
transfusions but is expected to be released from the hospital
later this week.
“Dad is in good spirits,” Muehlhausen said in the statement. “He
lost a lot of blood but has gained his strength back thanks to
the transfusions.”
Wooden did not travel to Atlanta to see UCLA play in the Final
Four on March 31. He did attend the McDonald’s All-American
High School game in Louisville on March 29.

Self-Hypnosis Permanent Weight Loss Success Secrets 2007-04-14 03:00:00 Research at Tufts-New England Medical Center has provided proof that all popular diets work when dieters are able to stick to them. Atkins - low carb; The Zone - low glycemic index; Ornish - low fat; Weight
Watchers - low calorie.
But medical research has provided convincing evidence that only a very small percentage of people can stick to any diet because of their appetite.
So to be successful with a diet, appetite control is mandatory.
Webster’s Dictionary defines “Appetite” as: “The desire for gratification of some want, craving, or passion.” So “appetite” is eating and drinking for relaxation and pleasure.
Many people confuse appetite with hunger. Hunger is defined as “The body’s call for nourishment.” In other words, when the body needs energy, that’s when you feel authentic hunger. By that description, it is practically impossible to “be hungry” if you are overweight.

The Need for Quality Gymnastics Equipment 2007-04-14 03:00:00 Whenever we watch gymnasts , we just see the body and the muscles resulting from dedicated practice and training. But do people ever dwell on the equipment that these athletes use for practice, and even during competition? It’s a sure bet we don’t. That’s because people don’t think that the equipment is necessary and as important as the aspects of training that any athlete undergoes, especially that of the gymnast.
Think about it for a moment: The gymnast, or any other athlete, for that matter, must possess the utmost confidence in the equipment that he uses, whether it’s a boxing glove or balance beam. If an athlete doesn’t have confidence in his equipment, he cannot develop the skills he needs. I believe that an athlete serious about his training, whether amateur or professional, cannot improve his abilities to perfection if he has even the slightest doubt in anything and anyone that is involved in his training.
If you can, imagine that yo Read more:Quality

Safe Gymnastics for Everyone 2007-04-14 03:00:00 Although it is a sport that celebrates strength, grace, and flexibility among all others, gymnastics can also cause harm and injury to its practitioners if athletes are not fully trained and prepared in its execution. If you are an avid gymnast or just starting to learn about the sport, here are some valuable tips you could follow to keep yourself and others safe and injury-free. First of all, make sure that you are strong enough to handle the moves that you are practicing. It is much safer and much easier to make build ample strength first to execute the skills you are trying to learn. If you are not strong enough, you will never be able to do many gymnastics skills no matter how hard or how many times you try. As a matter of fact, building strength also makes you safer in potentially dangerous fall situations. Next, you need to be aware of what is going on around you in the gym if there are other gymnasts around. If there are other gymnasts practicing, you need to be aware
