Weee!!! Beach!! 2008-10-28 09:13:00 As you can see we visited the beach today! It's been snowing in Inverness, yes in October, so where else would you head, but the beach! This was Maisie's first "proper" walk and she had great fun, bouncing all over the place!"Can't catch me!!!" says Oscar! Watch out here I come!Bit windy here!Video from Nairn Beach

Banff, Moray and Nairn Open Show 2008-10-27 10:54:00 We went to Lossiemouth on Saturday for Banff, Moray and Nairn's October Open show. It was very windy and the entry seemed a bit lower for some reason. Maybe because there was a Champ Show down south? Oscar had his shower on the Thursday night so was all ready for action! We arrived in plenty time, as we were taking Wilma, Chloe, Julie and Mica too. It's like "Carry on Showing" when we head off!! M
Dog tired! 2008-10-19 13:06:00 Yes, as the saying goes, "It's a dog's life." Who ever thought up that one was spot on. What better way to wind down after a busy afternoon at ringcraft, than curl up on Mum's bed?! Read more:tired
3 Amigos 2008-10-19 12:57:00 Oscar and Maisie went to Moray Firth Ringcraft today for a class. Oscar is needing the practice before Banff, Moray and Nairn's Open show next week! They both had a good time. Maisie loved all the attention from more new friends. Jazz and Chloe were away this weekend but Mica was there today. Her and Maisie hadn't met before but got on very well!It looks like they are all heading off for a show! Read more:Amigos
Practice, practice, practice!! 2008-10-14 07:55:00 At last Maisie can go out and about! I have been on nightshift, so haven't been able to go anywhere. The term "zombie" is apt!! So, last night we went to our first class at Ross and Cromarty Canine Club. Oscar was delighted to be back and couldn't concentrate on the job in hand, making things a little tricky for Lewis! Maisie had great fun, meeting lots of new friends. She was the smallest dog the
Not dog showing! 2008-10-14 07:50:00 As part of his Birthday, Lewis and dad went to Glasgow on Saturday, to watch Scotland play Norway. Unfortunately they could only manage a draw, but they both enjoyed it very much! This picture is of Hampden Stadium, taken by Lewis.
Beagle brooch 2008-10-05 16:01:00 This is the brooch that I collected from Wilma tonight. It was made by Brian Foster of Stormpasture designs. There is a link at the bottom of the page. Thanks to Nicky for bringing it back from Darlington for me!! Read more:Beagle
Jazz and Chloe 2008-10-05 15:40:00 We visited Jazz and Chloe
tonight. Wilma collected a brooch for me, so it was a good excuse for a run around their garden! It's a pity it was quite dark, as pictures were difficult to get! Maybe next time! Jazz is on the left and Chloe on the right, they are Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers.
A sprint in the park 2008-10-05 09:56:00 While Maisie was sleeping, myself and Lewis decided to take Oscar for a walk around the park. As you can see, he doesn't really walk anywhere, preferring to run!!

No title 2008-09-21 17:27:00 The dogs are making the most of the "Indian Summer" we seem to be getting - sunning themselves on the back door step today!
No title 2008-09-19 08:33:00 I decided to start a blog about Oscar my Beagle because I have so many pictures of him and our friends. We only found these friends through our venture into showing him and our first Beagle, Harvey.Harvey was bought as a pet, but after much persuasion from Blanche and Allan Smart, but mostly Blanche, I decided to give showing a "go"I had never been to a dog show, only watched Crufts on the T.V wis

Chloe did one better and won the Any Variety Terrier Minor Puppy class and then got reserve best pup in group. Very well done girls. Nicky and the Dughallmhor gang got a 3rd with Alfie in the Open Beagle class. Clever boy! Rosie posie got a 3rd too, clever girlie!
Good Luck 2008-11-15 07:47:00 The very best of luck to all of the exhibitors from the frozen North that are going to the Ladies Kennel Association of Scotland this weekend. We are staying at home, pity as we could do with a show after "Droopy Tail-gate" at Banff, Moray and Nairn a few weeks ago. Never mind. Our Soft Coated Wheaten terrier pals, Jazz - Canicula the Elven Queen and Chloe - Loofahsa Amareuse are going with Wil Read more:Good Luck
No title 2008-11-15 05:44:00 At last we have had good, dry weather. So this morning I took Oscar boy up to "Deer Wood", well it's not called that, but it was where he went on his venison hunting trip last week! I took the camera, again, to get the pictures I had originally intended to get! It was really busy this morning, joggers, bikes, dogs. All the things a Beagle loves to chase!! Thankfully though, no Deer today! The first
Deer chaser! 2008-11-03 07:17:00 Yes, Oscar boy decided that today would be a good day for a deer chasing adventure! Luckily I'm working tonight, so didn't panic too much when he disappeared for an hour! I could hear him yowling his way around the forest, but there was no sign for ages. I met another couple of dog walkers who hadn't seen a "Tan and White Beagle" but I could see them thinking, "Letting a Beagle off the lead? What

Wyvisview - at last!! 2008-12-06 08:49:00 This is Ben Wyvis. Inverness can be seen in the foreground of this picture. The Kessock Bridge is on the bottom right, crossing the Moray Firth. It really is a beautiful view and I think we are lucky to be able to see it most days, weather permitting!
Sun and Snow 2008-12-06 08:15:00 Since it's been such a beautiful day here today, I took the dogs to Culloden Battlefield for a walk. It's a good place, on a calm day for a walk. I kept Oscar on the lead for most of it and let Crazy Maisie off to gallop around the field. She had a whale of a time, barking at the tourists!!!The Battlefield has lots of signs, telling visitors about the Battle of Culloden. The red flags mark where s
